The ambiance at the hotel is excellent. The staff work hard to provide an excellent service and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is what you would expect from a hotel of this standard, excellent.Sorry to use the word three times but it just sums up my experience there. I have stayed at the Great Barr Hotel several times and will always use it for visits to Birmingham. Highly recommended. |

Breakfast was included in the price. Breakfast staff very good and fast. Booked a single room and asked for a quiet room. I know all requests can't bemade possible. Due to the size of the bed I had to change rooms to a double bed. I did had to pay the extra. (as if there was two, but not expecting to pay for the second person's breakfast) Well they will not getting another penny from me! If you are reading from the Euro zone another Cent!. |

it lived up to our expectations of just a quiet place to rest and sleep menu was not very enticing also lack of variety meant that we used outside eateries |

The reception was inviting but the room smelled on smoke, we had ot open an window to try and get rid of the smell. The decor was sad looking and needed updating. Bar area was old fashioned and again tired looking, also a TV was on with the sound level so high you couldn't have a conversation. |
