For many years, the hotel has also provided a friendly, informal atmosphere for a variety of groups and conferences, with large lounges making it possible to cater for and accommodate groups of over 100. The conference facilities are available at realistic value-for-money prices with or without overnight accommodation and with the added benefit of on-site parking. Events of all types are catered for, from business meetings to day-long conferences with refreshments (all dietary requirements catered for). The hotel can also offer overnight full-board accommodation alongside its conferences facilities, making it an excellent environment for team building or training weekends, conferences, seminars, workshops and symposia.
The hotel overlooks Falsgrave Park and is within easy walking distance of the South Bay beach and Scarborough town centre. The town itself is home to many attractions, and offers a large selection of pubs and restaurants catering for all tastes. All that Scarborough has to offer is within easy reach, including the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Flamingo Land and Eden Camp. Scarborough Castle and Whitby Abbey are just a short drive away. The TV programme The Royal is filmed on the south cliff in Scarborough.
Pets are allowed in the rooms, but not in the public areas of the hotel. Pets must be on a lead.

Beds were comfortable, breakfast was reasonably good Very, very dated decor. Felt a bit like an old people's home. Breakfast staff needed prompting in order to bring us basic items such as tea and coffee. |

I liked the indoor pool, it was a real bonus for the kids especially and the variety of rooms for everyone, pool, games room, full size snooker, library, lounge etc. I also liked the 5 bed family room. Its a real old fashioned hotel that I wished we had a few more days to stay at but we didn't arrrive until 830pm and were leaving the next day.If you want the Ritz then pay for the Ritz, if you want a clean hotel with stuff to keep the kids happy and don't expect a £1000 a night hotel for £70 then like us you'll have real good value. The sausage and bacon at breakfast was not good, others had mentioned 'noisy plumbing' we had that ut to be honest I found it quite funny, its not that bad. The creaky floor boards were funny too but that did wear a bit thin after 15 minutes, but its only whilst you're in your room and lets face it you shouldn't bein the all day and uness you have a sleep walker in your room you won't hear them at night. |

Use of the bar and the snooker room, on our previous stay we had the children with us and they loved the use of the indoor pool. Breakfast was very pleasent too. |

The children used the pool, apart from that we do not do anything in the hotel. The hotel is very very basic, it is more like a nursing home. There was no hairdryer in the room and when we asked for 1 it was not pat tested and blew up. There were plastic chairs in the room. |

The breakfast was very good and served in an attractive conservatory. The swimming pool was excellent. Overall it was good value for money. It smelled a little musty, especially in the bar area, and clearly would benefit from some investment. It looks tired. The TVs have indoor aeriels so the signal is poor. |

The hotel is very comfortable with the added bonus of a wonderfully warm heated pool. Evening meals are very good and reasonably priced and as you can eat from 5.30.p.m. onwards allows you to visit a show/theatre afterwards. |

Great value for money family accomadation. Old fashioned decor starts to have appeal of its own too. Will certainely return. Lovely clean rooms - kitchen area a bit cramped though. |

It was affordable for a last minute accomodation. the staff were friendly. Yes Yes!!!! I think the beds need to be replace as they are very uncomfortable & left us with aching backs. So as the sofa's. Cutlery should be replaced as they are really old. |

Friendly staff, in nice setting and not to far towalk to shops/beach, didnt need to use the car as long as you don't mind hills. Bathroom had no shower and breakfast was not self service with poor quality food. Very limited parking. |
