The accommodation was large, separate well equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower over bath, lounge / dining area and bedroom with single and double beds. Fully functional apartment. Old building that was clean and quite interesting. Reasonable swimming pool free to guests.
Wifi did not reach to the apartment. Bed was a bit stale (not bedding but mattress).
The facilities for how much we had paid were great.
Different things for the kids, including swimming, pool, table tennis.
very dated hotel with no mod cons at all! Very springy mattress which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep!
We loved the pool and enjoyed using the games room.staff were very friendly. We would use this hotel again.
We thought we would have had wifi in the room but it was out of range but it wasn't the end of the world
Games room was good. Ditto TV room.
Wifi on second floor was non-existent. Bed was too hard.
The hotel has everything you need. The apartments are very big and comfortable. They are well equipped. My children love being able to go in the pool every day and playing in the games room. We will definitely be going again a couple of times this year
Our 10yr old grandson was with us. So the games room came in handy. A swimming pool is on site too, this we did not use.
Not Green Gables fault, but the lift broke! We were on the 3rd floor. The staff were very helpful and offered to help with luggage when we left.
Grand place. Our apartment was spacious it had everything we needed. The rooms were clean. Friendly staff happy to help.
Think the rooms could do with a good freshen up/ updating!
The staff were lovely and friendly there's plenty to do for the kids definitely a hotel I would recommend to families only a short distance to the beach and the town centre definitely will be going back
I have never stayed in a holiday accommodation with so much space. It was such a relaxed atmosphere: children enjoying the sport facilities, quiet access the Internet in the foyer,a park out the back door to have a early morning walk or put children on the swings ,and yet the restaurants still provided breakfast and evening meal In a formal, relaxed, environment with excellent service.
Low water pressure to the shower
A family friendly hotel. Basic but clean with a fantastic belly buster of a breakfast. I've stayed twice and will be coming back.
Staff and location.
Furniture like in 70's.
Spacious apartment with great facilities. Each of the bedrooms had a sink and TV which was unexpected for the price. Self catering option is a good idea when you have children with you as you can please yourself at meal times. Next door to a pretty park. Lots to do, swimming pool, games room, bar, restaurant. We would definately stay again.
Car park is a little on the small side. Lift is a tight fit if using a wheelchair The toaster would be better if it was a four slice toaster instead of two (especially if there are a few sharing apartment)
Not being able to get a parking space on site I had to park in the street
staff were friendly and the breakfast was great, also the hotel was very spacious and had lots of facilities such as a pool, library, bar and games room.
Spacious rooms, games room, very good breakfast
Poor bathroom amenities. Swimming pool timings very awkward kids can hardly use it . You have to use same towels even if they are wet
Lovely location next to the park with good views over Scarborough.
like everything about the hotel room un staff sevice brlliant
Obviously family friendly as there were many families. Our little ones enjoyed the pool during the sessions we could get in. Games room would have been attractive if we had older children. Breakfast was good with variety of choice. We had one evening meal which was enjoyed. Rooms were not fancy or very modern but sufficient for what we needed and everything was working and the price was good for us.
Our double bed mattress was not overly comfortable. Parking was a bit tight.
Location in relation to our travel needs. Room to move in the suite. Location in relation to shops, services etc. Helpful staff.
Comfortable, Quiet Room. Excellent Breakfast
Parking a nightmare. Long way to rooms with heavy baggage. Not enough staff on duty - long wait for service in bar or at reception. Breakfast room very stuffy when full, fans fitted but not used.
It was quite a big room. We had an open adjoining room for the 5 of us which made it easy keep and eye on the kids. It is more of a dormitory style hotel and out of holiday season we seemed to be the only ones there. They opened the kitchen early for us for breakfast as we had to have an early start which was wonderful.
The rooms seemed a little dated. Didn't really affect us as we were there one night. We couldn't pick up Wi-fi in bedroom but could get it in corridor.
Cupboards flying open in the middle of the night. Strong smells that suddenly disappears. Loud banging noises. Trolley noises in hallway. No staff when leaving. We had to leave early hours of the morning due to being scared out our wits.
It was very clean. The staff helpful at all times, and nice breakfast
you really need a car, or its a taxi or bus to the town or seafront
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, big, clean room. Highly recommended. Sea view, too!
