Located 2 miles from Glenrothes' center, Premier Inn Glenrothes is convenient for Temple Newsam House, Harewood House and Bramham Park.
Score from 97 reviews Very good
This non-smoking Victorian town house hotel is privately run by Jim and Doreen, offering ample private parking and situated in a quiet residential area, within walking distance of central Dunfermline....
Score from 82 reviews Wonderful
The leisure facilities shared with the Windlestrae are good. The room size was good with pleasant furnishings and ample storage. The breakfast was fine although the service was as bit disappointing. The food in Jock,s bar was good.
They really need to do something about the noisey floorboards...this is an issue in the rooms and corridors. Our bath wasn,t clean...it had a grey scum all around it which may well have been that the cleanser used hadn,t then been rinsed off, however it was somewhat off-putting.
Basils restaurant was closed on both nights. Reception service is poor
Lovely peaceful location, easy to get to by bus from Edinburgh. Staff were so helpful & friendly. Beautiful large room, lovely breakfast. Bar & snacks were excellent. Lovely old fashioned lounge to sit and relax in with tea & sandwiches. I had a lovely break and didn't want to come home! Enjoyed the band at The Green Room too.... Amazing time. Would definitely return and recommend too.
location is convenient, and I am a senior travelling alone and I felt very safe. Comfortable ground floor room, good breakfast.
nothing except it would have been good to have stayed another night!
The location on Loch Leven gave ample opportunities to walk the dogs. It is just off the M90 so getting around was very quick and easy.
Room , food and prices were reasonable
The staff in the hotel were friendly and welcoming. Our room was large, nicely decorated with views over the gardens. We had use of the leisure facilities which included a gym, swimming pool, steam room, Jacuzzi and sauna as well as beauty room and treatments. The hotel also has two 18 hole golf courses with lovely views over Loch Leven. We ate across the road at the Italian restaurant. The meal was plentiful and very tasty. We enjoyed our short stay as there was something for us both to enjoy.
The interior of the Green Hotel was a little threadbare but cosy and comfy. We also found that the double bed in the bedroom was a little small for us. We are used to a king size at home as we are both on the tall side. There was also some communication problems between staff within the two hotels i.e we were told that only Jocks bar was open for meals but later found out that all four restaurants were open. My booking for a treatment in the beauty room was also mixed up and put in for the wrong day and I had to re book a later time.
The bed was very firm. I usually find hotel beds far too soft to sleep comfortably. The room was large and clean.
No conditioner in the bathroom. Poor wifi.
buffet breakfast (cold fried eggs). used tea cups in corridor left from previous night.
Breakfast at this hotel was very good.
Room was dated with thread bare furniture. Bed small and uncomfortable. Bathroom was dirty and old.
Beautiful location, excellent room and very helpful staff - we had a wonderful time.
The location and use of the pool across the road at the sister hotel. The gardens looked lovely although we didn't use them and the staff were very helpful.
The rooms are tired and well worn in places probably due to the golf trolleys going in and out. It's expensive for the rooms if that's all you used like us, but I think it would be a good deal if you're a golfer and made use of the greens.
staff very friendly and helpful, quiet location leisure activities excellent
service in jocks bar was a bit slow had to wait nearly half an hour for food order but staff apologised for the wait.
Large rooms overlooking lovely gardens, very pleasant staff, really good value.
I liked the fact it has two golf courses very close and its position for an over nights stay during a long trip
we did not like the food at all both in the golf clubhouse or the meals in the hotel
We had a lovely large quiet room number 32. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend the pool and spa and had a lovely meal in montys. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Great night away.
Walked all the way to your recommended restaurant at loch leven to find it was closed
Golf course, Spa, meals, Staff excellent, lovely village within easy reach of Glasgow / Edinburgh
Comfortable bedroom. Nice and quiet with a garden outlook.
Noisy floorboards and worn carpets in corridors.
The room was lovely that we were given, lots of space and very comfy bed,but under the bed was disgusting, clump of hair at back bed against skirting board and bits rubbish and lots of dust also very bad stains on carpet under bed.
The wide range of facilities_,out of this world.
Food Bed Grounds Parking Bar
Cleanliness of room Building a little tired Alertness of staff Distance to room from reception Speed of service Some of the facilities shared with hotel across the road.
Spacious rooms, quiet location, helpful staff, good bar food.
Rooms need refurbishing and more attention to detail in housekeeping, ie had to ask for clean pillows.
Helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble. Very dog friendly Welcoming Central location for visiting attractions
Bed was a bit hard
