Comfortable, cosy, great location, exceptional rooms, super food and the most marvellous, helpful friendly staff. I will be returning with my wife for a short break because of the hotel

Great location near to the city centre and within easy walking distance of Bath Spa train station. We liked the pool, jacuzzi and steam room.
We also liked that the cards for the room were made of wood.

Breakfast was fantastic. And dinner was good too. And the location is very central and easy to find yet not noisy. And very accommodative to extend my check out time to nearer my departure coach time. I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay for my first time as a solo senior traveller. Thanks so much.

The hotel is set in lovely grounds overlooking the city of Bath. There was easy access to the city by public bus from the bottom of the drive. The staff were very attentive. Lovely breakfast with a great choice.
Box is a beautiful and interesting location. Box Tunnel was designed by Brunel, and in the 1800's was the longest railway tunnel ever constructed. It is still in use. The main part of Box is in a valley, and there are great views as you leave the village and climb uphill towards Westwells. There are lovely walks through woodland and fields just on the edge of the village. Box also has two good cafes and a Post Office/Village shop. There are two pubs just outside the village centre, The Quarryman's Arms has fine views. Wadswick Country Store and cafe are also within a mile or so of the village centre via footpaths.

The White Hart at Ford, good food.
We just loved the surrounding scenery.
And just to chill out with a glass or two, no noisy neighbours, yes we loved it.

The accommodation was compact, of good quality and comfortable the two of us for our two night stay. Ray and Katie were very welcoming. Good choice of cereals, plus bagels, jams and cookies available for breakfast.
The accommodation would benefit from a small robe in the lounge area to allow for longer stays.
The dining table and stool were not of the same standard/quality as the rest of the accommodation - this is not an issue, just an observation.

Box is a lovely little village which is very close to Bath. There is very little to do in Box, there are a couple of convenience stores I think and a few pubs, but otherwise it is a traditional village.
There are plenty of walks to do, including a short walk to the Box tunnel which is nice to see.
Bath is just a 20 minute drive away, and Devizes is roughly 30 minutes.
Westonbirt, The National Arboretum is probably 40 minutes away and well worth a visit.
If you like a quiet place to stay, Box will work well!

Ask for a room away from the main road but remember that a railway line runs behind the hotel as well. It was abit quieter during the night but still quite abit of noise. Room 1 has a lovely balcony overlooking the carpark. Staff very helpful and friendly and food all delicious. We stayed in Box because we were visiting family nearby so can't comment on anything else in the village.

For us coming from Beaconsfield a nice quick journey and plenty to see. We have been to Bath a few times but still the surrounding countryside is worth the visit. Take a trip to IFord absolutely picturesque.
the hotel is quiet. the room was spacious, quiet, very clean and had a large bathroom. the beds were comfortable. For breakfast there was an English breakfast and other options to choose from. We chose the English breakfast. That was very delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking lot at the hotel was large and free to use. There was the opportunity to sit outside in a small park with large trees. We were lucky to be able to observe a squirrel from the breakfast room. We would book the hotel again if we are in the area.
Loved this beautiful property! Looks gorgeous and so in keeping with its beautiful surroundings in Box and was super spacious and comfortable inside! Absolutely loved our stay! Would highly recommend it! The hosts were super friendly and gave outstanding advice on the local area and relevant information prior to arrival. Would definitely return in future! Thanks so much!
We just had a wonderful stay in Box. Great location, peaceful, easy check in and out, comfortable and clean. The accommodation was tastefully decorated, comfortable and cosy. Very well appointed accommodation with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The washing machine was a bonus.
Excellent location for exploring the area with a parking space outside the front door. It was perfect for hopping out and visiting everywhere we wanted. Hosts were really friendly, communication was great and had a laugh with the cleaner (good tips!). Box village on the doorstep was really nice.
There is not much going on in Box but we were going to a gig in the pub and the location was great for that. Hosts were
very welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable and the property has character. Breakfast was very nice. Appreciated having a place to park the car.
Box is a lovely little village. Cedar Lodge 2 was just amazing. It has so much to offer, 2 large en suite bedrooms and a large lounge/well fitted kitchen area, we loved it.
Great quiet location for exploring Box, Bath, and the Cotswolds. Free parking right outside or across the street. Great space, especially for larger groups.
