The location, room and breakfast were all excellent. Andy is a great host who makes you feel very welcome in his home.
room and location.
Duvet too hot for the weather - and no thinner alternative in room.
Friendly, nice setting
The lanes, finding it. Ross on Wey is not that nice.
Excellent hosts. Very helpful, nothing too much trouble.
All good stuff
A little bit out of the way to walk to pub/restaurants
Peace and tranquility
A peaceful, beautiful country setting within the stunning wye valley. Ali & Andy are incredibly helpful friendly hosts. They recommended, what turned out to be, one of the best restaurant/pub I've ever been to.
Nothing not to like.
Nothing was too much trouble, lovely place, lovely views and very helpful with telling us what was in the area to visit. Great breakfast and very warm welcome of tea and biscuits when we arrived.
Andy and his wife were perfect hosts - attentive but not intrusive. Very child friendly and had a lovely family feel to the place. Food was excellent, room was spotless and very tastefully set out. A pleasure to stay there and will return. Thank you.
Nothing the whole stay was perfect
Accommodation excellent & location. Breakfast also excellent.
Driveway - steep and narrow
Amazing views Lovely comfortable room Friendly host
No TV in room, minor point though.
Great views from the room and dog friendly too plus a healthy English breakfast that tasted good. Staff very helpful with what to do in the area and even booked our evening dinner table for us!
Very friendly and helpful owners who made our stay most enjoyable.
Magnificent view Helpful staff Modern decore
Tight car parking No TV in room No Wi Fi
Unusual modern wood construction in a quiet location, with excellent views over open country. Very comfortable, clean accommodation and friendly owner.
Amazing view over the whole valley. Great accommodation - self-contained, really comfortable. Good and plentiful food. And, especially, very very helpful, friendly and efficient hosts. And one of the best fish and chip shops ever just down the road!
Excellent breakfast- owners very friendly & helpful
Parking can be tricky when there are other guests as on a very steep slope-
We had the superior double room, Juliet balcony, it had a stunning view, over the valley and Goodrich castle. Our room was spacious, lovely linen and curtains, really fresh and smelt amazing. Bed was super comfortable, slept really well. It was very peaceful, perfect for an evening getaway. No noise pollution. Perfect.
I didn't like to ask, wifi??? We didn't desperately need it. Just so we could watch something once the sun went down on the iPad in the privacy of our own room really.
Location and quietness
Parking was OK but having to reverse out was a bit tricky !
Great location and hospitality
The atmosphere is so relaxed at Green Whale Tump and we were greeted warmly on arrival. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in and the location beautiful. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, even taking the trouble to show us some of the local places of interest on a map. Breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit and yoghurt followed by a cooked breakfast. They weren't at all put out by our request for a vegetarian one! A perfect 10/10 on all counts and we can't wait to go back :-)
Andy was so pleasant with nothing being too much trouble, even booking us tables at the local pub, which was also excellent! He was also very informative with walks and bike ride information tumbling out of his head with ease. The breakfasts were excellent for a B and B, the option of more was offered, which does not always happen and the choice was spot on. Our room had the most amazing view over the fields, and being able to open the doors to let the day in was a pleasure.
Not necessarily a dislike, but if one thing could have made our stay better it would have been a bath, but this is a minor point really as we were contacted by the lady of the house who informed us that their rooms did not have one, but the room we had cried out for one with that amazing view.
Good location, friendly, helpful and the B&B was immaculate. Many thanks
Nothing really. But if I had to nit pic it would be access and parking. My front spoiler scraped along the ground at the very bottom of slope. But soon got the hang of it by letting my wife out.
Andy and Ally were perfect hosts. Very helpful. Breakfasts were very good and plenty of it.
Car parking a bit tricky.
