Nice place and the staff was very helpful
Feel sorry for poor staff member
We had had a terrible experience staying there- the owner was so greedy and rude. A few days before the stay I did speak to the staff member about the booking as I'd mucked up my dates of arrival .. she was kind enough to amend the booking to a date that offered the same room rate for a double room- I mentioned I needed the double room as my husband was joining me. When we arrived the owner was on us straight away asking about the price - how we got it so cheap? She stated she offers the rate on Sunday and if we had booked last minute -as she usually reduces it if she isn't full. Then went on blaming her staff, saying they will have to sort this out- she had made an error. My confirmation on the screen shot via bookings.com shows one room one night double/twin share- she was going on showing us her room rates.. Like its our fault we got an offer... She said she has been overseas and we shouldn't have got the £59 rate. The place was not worth anything more than £59. The place is really substandard, the bed was two single matrices shoved together and really uneven to sleep on -so uncomfortable. There are marks on the walls behind the bed, mould in corners of shower and bugs in the bathroom. First thing in the morning the owner had her staff member come to us and hassle us for more money saying it will come out of her wages if we didn't pay more! The owner wants £20 more for our stay - the staff member had to say she had made a mistake and please can we pay more she needed more for two people. My booking was for two people, I opened my phone to look at the confirmation via booking.com and looked up their rate to see it was advertised that night for £69 for two people.
The out of hours arrangements was very impressive
T he staff were very friendly and so helpful.
Although we don't often stay in and around London I was shocked by the price of the room and even more so when we arrived and saw how old and worn looking the room was.
Bedroom door very difficult to close particular las there was no handle on outside. Had to put my shoulder to it to shut from the inside. Worst towels I have ever had in a hotel, threadbare and full of holes. Much too small.
Very convenient for visiting family who live nearby.
Other visitors did not park well.
Good size bedroom.
No where to park except on Saturday night at the Health Centre. Paid for wi-fi. Bedroom furniture falling apart. Breakfast extra if you booked through any agency.
price family room
Booking.com mentioned breakfast was included, but it was not.
Close to Greewnwich Park Tea and coffee option in room Good working shower Comfortable bed Quiet room
Unfriendly reception and no staff presence after that. WI-FI not working Shabby bed covers
When we left.
The room was advertised and sold to us as deluxe room having a whirlpool bath, How on arrival unlike the other deluxe rooms at the same price, Ours had been made into a bog standard bath. the pricing for a double room was £65.00 per night cheaper Which was the wrong description for the room we were given, when I spoke to the staff, she said yes its the wrong picture on the web site, so I asked what are they going to do . her reply was nothing.
We booked here because of close location to 02, the owner was very accommodating as we arrived before 3.00. We were able to park the car for free next door as it was the weekend.
Nothing to dislike, it served the purpose.
Location for the O2 was fantastic, just 10 minutes on the bus
Phone was not manned for a lengthy period of time and no one at the property either.
Perfect location for the O2 - only a ten-minute bus journey away. Free parking. Friendly staff, lovely decent-sized room, nice bathroom. Nice quiet night's sleep, even with the window open.
Bed exceptionally uncomfortable - could feel the mattress springs even through the duvet. Ended up sleeping on the floor. Real shame as was a massive letdown in such a lovely room. Wifi and breakfast very overpriced. No staff available to check out.
Fair location, easy to access. Friendly staff even though hardly available.
The room facilities not what were presented on booking.com e.g. room claimed to be on ground floor but I was taken to 4th floor of the little house. The only staff (she has a little girl with her) is hardly available to attend to guest need. No value for money: there are other cheaper hotels in Greenwich even with better facilities.
Nice tidy room, comfy bed and bathroom.
nothing. no issues at all.
closeness to grenwich park and O2. Staff member was very helpful
bathroom was in a poor state as were many of the facilities.
- Fast response to late checkin request - SMS with code for keylock at door - Kindness of Owner (didn't meet anybody else)
- Nobody reachable until 2PM at first day, cause manager was on holidays and Owner did not appear before 2PM due to responsibilities for other guesthouses. Thus could not complete check in before Tuesday evening. - No information how to manage checkout on early Saturday moring, had to catch flight at 7AM - Nobody available Friday evening after 8PM, no appointment possible to make on tuesday, seems Owner and Manager do not speak with each other or forget to exchange important requests of customers. - The Room in the sou-terrain smelled musty, had to open all windows to be able to sleep. Not sure if that is cause of the old building or whether they have a problem with their sealing of the walls against ground water and rain.
Nothing. Feel very let down.
Everything. Very shabby. Very expensive. Ensuite bathroom appalling. Unable to use washbasin due to plug getting stuck in plughole.Shower poor. Cracked tiles in shower and on floor. All needs refurbishing. If we were obese it would be useless. Four flights of stairs with a husband awaiting knee replacement. Not good. Three mirrors in room but could not sit at any of them to put my makeup on so had to stand. Not satisfactory Parking for two cars only. Very disappointed.
room as clean and tidy and the bed was very cormfortable
nothing else in the house apart from the bedroom
good location, we could walk to the O2 arena for the Eagles concert we were attending. A parking space was available for us to use. large room with lots of storage.
reception and bar area was being refurbished so bar was not in use, but we could see progress was being made and we were only there for 1 night.
Location was perfect for our purposes
Slightly tatty. If you couldn't get to sleep you could count the bed springs. Ordered breakfast but no staff available to serve, we checked out without seeing anyone and no breakfast!!!
Very friendly and helpful receptionist
Only parking for 2 vehicles and mine was not one of them!
When I came to this hotel it was closed And when I called them no one answered me So, I went to another hotel
Within spitting distance of the O2, which is where we were headed. The lady organised a taxi which took us straight to the door for a very reasonable price. She also gave us thorough instructions on how to get the bus back ( and was exactly spot on ). The facilities were fine and clean for our one night stay...would book again if going to the O2
