Greenmount Hotel  

Quiet location, zero traffic, very comfortable rooms. Overall modest hotel with touches of home. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Hotel bar with pool table was also a plus.

The only slight problem I encountered was the shower-head. (room 20)

Perfect for 18 hens, cheap and cheerful! Plenty of tea and coffee in our room, comfy beds, good breakfast!

Just what we needed, excellent location, great friendly owner & staff, perfect atmosphere at breakfast.

A little dated in terms of decor, but it was the end of a long season so it can be expected.

The staff were lovely, the location was excellent and the breakfasts substantial.

The family room was a bit cramped but was fine for a short stay.

Value for money

The hotel is awfull we could nit get any hot water went to get in the shower the bottom fell off. The room was freeezing and the walls are paper thin nothing like how it is shown on the website was there for 45 mins max and had to demand a refund and leave deffite no go stat away feom this b+b

Rooms were very well decorated, bedding was very nice/comfortable. Facilities were good and tea, biscuits etc, excellent. Staff friendly

No high chair for my one year old niece, I was told the hotel only had one and it was being used! Dining room very small and quite cramped at breakfast. Bathroom smelt damp

It location near to the front

the green mount is located just a few hundred yards from the castle and flag ship exactly 8 mins walk so the location was quite good, the hotel was basic but very clean, the breakfast was very substantial with fresh orange, tea coffee toast and condiments cereals and cooked breakfast i would definitely recommend this hotel

If you do choose to use this hotel i recommend you get there very eary to get a car parking space beside the hotel and its free however if you cant get there early please be aware that the parking was a night mare. if you are unable park on Bairstow street where the hotel is situated you have to go to the local car par which cost £9 for 1 Night & £15 for the 2 nights

The breakfast was great. We're vegetarian and we got quorn sausages on our brekkie, this we thought was fab. Location is very good and central for everything.

On our first night we stayed in room 4 and I didnt like it, it felt dirty and the quilt for my daughters bed was dirty so swapped it for the 1 on the top bunk which still didnt seem fresh and clean but didn't look dirty. Then the second night the owner asked if we'd like to change to a nicer an bigger room (he offered not knowing we were unhappy) as we were the only guests that night in the hotel and we did. This was much better more modern and definately cleaner with fresh bedding, and i slept better in this room.

it was in a perfect location to where we wanted to stay, it was a very friendly and welcoming hotel. Room was of a good condition.

The bed in room 16 for the double was very hard and slightly uncomfortable to sleep in, The shower did not give off a lot of power and was running hot and then cold.

hotel was a bit grubby and could do with a good clean and some decor. wall clock in room wasn't working, the travel kettle and tea cups should be replaced and the room given a good clean.
