Room was a good size and staff when you could find them were friendly.
There was no one there when we got there and after 10 mins or so we resorted to phoning them up to find we were in a different building a couple of mins drive away.
Traffic noise in room on A417 side of the building
We liked the way the staff sorted us a new room out after the one we were assigned sprang a leak with the heavy rain. Well done to all concerned
Friendly staff; my room - light, with great windows; comfortable bed; nice en-suite; breakfast (it may start earlier, but 7am was good for me); garden; 5 minutes walk to pubs
I prefer a more powerful shower with consistent temperature setting. However, it was good enough.
Comfortable bed, good size bathroom with plent of hot water and stong shower. Decent breakfast.
Welcome and hospitality throughout stay.
Wi-fi problematic but that was minor.
Location setting is very nice and the apartments look good too.
My room wasn't clean. Dead flies around the windows, uncleaned toilet and human hair hanging from the shower head. When asked when the room was last cleaned I was told they're cleaned everyday, however I don't understand how these things could have been missed. Very disappointing. I decided not to stay as these issues put me off. My room (I think room 3) also opened up to the breakfast dinning area, not something I wish to face as soon as I open my door to leave my room.
Easy access to Harwell, Rowstock, East Hendred, etc. Quaint village with several good eateries.
Far too close to the A417 - traffic almost constant. Gravel drive is VERY noisy. Perception of lack of security with large patio door opening straight out onto drive. Arrive at one location and then have to cross the busy road to get to the annex.
Beautiful gardens, easy to find
Beds not particularly comfy
The location and rooms were excellent and the grounds were superb. The staff were welcoming, breakfast was lovely we all had a great weekend.
Comfy bed, really tasty full English breakfast included in the room price
The shower ran hot and cold repeatedly rather than staying at a constant temperature. Also, a full length mirror would have been good.
Lovely nice sized rooms very airy spacious property. Good breakfast. Can't wait to go back!
Cold room (even in June), breakfast finished at 9am.
Lovely big breakfast area lots of options and flexible with times
No door key for back door onto garden, some more toileteries ie shampoo would have been helpful
Early breakfast provided at 6.30 - full english!
Quiet place with kind and helpful staff. Breakfast (included in price) served according to actual wish of client. Very close, in the small village, an unexpectedly good and nice restaurant with fabulous kitchen serving dinner till 10 PM. Great place !
The beautiful house, the hospitality, the breakfast, the well appointed room. Ample parking and lovely grounds.
The proximity of the main road and the consequent traffic noise during the day, starting early.
Comfortable beds.Friendly and helpful staff.Nice scenic setting.
useless wi-fi, no warm water, smell of sausage in the morning
It was one of the best guest houses I have stayed in and I stay in alot all over the country the next time I'm in the area I will be booking there
The breakfast could be a bit earlier for us earlier birds
. overall a beautiful comfortable place with lovely staff and good breakfast
no access to cutlery/fridge or microwave. considering that its in a remote area with little access to restaurants they need to consider this
Quiet, clean, bed, breakfast: it does what it says on the ticket, but nothing exceptional.
Great location, nice surroundings. Close to local village, with really good pub choice. Friendly and eficient staff, good breakfast, light and comforable rooms (the two I saw).
Noise levels inernally were higher than I expected. I could hear two people talking, in reasonable voices, in the room next to me. Also when people entering an dleaving their rooms, the floor tiles made it a noisy process, especially at 06:30 in the morning. Keys also very noisy in locks in the corridor outside, I once thought the person was trying to get into my room, but his door was so close to mine it only seemed like it. Because of noise issue I proably wouldn't book again, sorry.
