Uncomfortable bed , noisy
Location, cleanliness, nice staff. Decent price for breakfast.
Room very very small, no outside window.
We all had a lovely stay at The Gresham. Ideally situated for our purpose and spotlessly clean :-) The staff were very friendly and the beds most comfortable. Thanks guys!
No bar :-(
Good location, has everything you need, not palatial but not the pits either. Helpful staff, clean room and all in all decent for the price.
Room clean, facilities good, reception girl friendly & efficient.
Basement room - lots of street noise . guests above restless/ ill, up most of night visiting toilet on our level. Very poor insulation/carpeting in room above and on stairs to cushion guests traffic. No sink plug.
Shower very small. Given twin beds instead of double we had requested, mattress very hard. Room was down narrow flight of stairs. No ventilation or air-con. Noisy
The location was good for what we had planned and the room was fairly cheap.
The staff seemed far from interested in their guests, I', fairly sure their smoking area was outside our room because we could hear them talking very load all the time, the room was meant to be a twin although we had to separate the beds ourselves and in general it just felt like a dive. I've stayed in better for less.
clean, bed is comfortable.
No wifi at room. Bathroom is small.
Found a fan
Weather was warm , attic room very hot
Great location, near the train station.
Could hear noise from the street and everyone walking around.
tired facilities, uncomfortable bed, people who actually live at the hotel coming and going at all hours
Position was good
Size of rooms one room we had u literally couldn't store two travel bags. Power point arrangement was rediculous. Only really one available and jug could only be boiled on floor or a stool because cords didn't reach.
Shower not working,cleanliness,inadequate facilities,very outdated.
The single room was very small
Poor state of plumbing, wear and tear.. I had to clean the shower head so that it would spray. Towel rails coming off. You would have to be a gymnast to bend down I the shower.
Elevator was not always the best. No WiFi in the room.
The location is good and the room is quite clean. The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful.
The window is difficult to open and in the evening feeling insecure to leave the window open all night , plus with the window shut , it's getting really hot sometimes.
Close to Paddington
Small room.Smells. Loud noises. Bed stretched across room. Could only get out one side. Too many staff that don't understand English well enough. Had to repeat myself. Staff indifferent to unfriendly. Facilities are poor. A dogs kennel would be preferable.
The location was really good - just around the corner from Paddington Station.
No aircon - was stifling hot in the entire hotel. Room was very hard to find within the hotel as numbering was obscure. We had trouble with our booking as we had cancelled a night but the hotel said they didn't know. Sorted in the end, but stressful at the time. Room was super small as was bathroom. Room seemed very expensive for what we got but perhaps that is just London in general. Didn't bother with breakfast as seemed very expensive for what it was - good eating places around the corner instead.
Close location to Paddington for the Heathrow Express, the Central Line (Lancaster Gate), and Hyde Park. Breakfast was your typical 'Full English', good value and bacon delicious. Served with a smile. Clean rooms (lose the old bed covers though - white is best!). Good luggage storage.
No air-con. On a hot London summer find somewhere that provides this. Window had to be opened all night to allow some air in, subsequently restless nights as Sussex Gardens is a very busy street. I normally sleep deeply, so was surprised the noise affected me so much. Room very small, but typical of central London.
An ideal place to sytay whilst in London. close to paddington railway and a walk to the city. the staff were very hepful. i recommend the gresham to any travellers who want central location and value for money.
Close to Paddington Station, TV channels OK, the beds and pillows comfy
The staff was very grumpy, the room was downstairs without window and too warm, hard to sleep, no wi-fi in room, had to leave the plastic room key in the reception every time you wanted to go outside the door, breakfast staff also grumpy and sloppy without any sense of costumer service. Please give them a proper uniform and education in costumer service so they do not have to wear their personal clothes when serving breakfast. Please tell the staff to never forget to smile when you meet costumers who pay a lot to visit your hotel. £260 for two nights are a lot of money. Will never visit your hotel anymore as it was the worst hotel in UK ever. A smile would not do any harm!!!!
The bed sheet was dirty. It should be changed before guests check in.
Location and price
Fan did not work and only two outlets.
Quad room was big and had a couch in addition to two double beds. Great location. Very convenient to Paddington Station. So easy to take the Heathrow Express (15 minute ride) and walk a few blocks to hotel. Quiet street and another easy walk to Hyde Park. Plenty of pubs and restaurants in the neighborhood.
Elevator broken when we arrived. Internet only available in lobby.
