The housekeeping staff were very cheerful and warm I felt the greeting on arrival was not the warmest l have received. The carpets throughout the hotel were beginning to look very tired. |

Nothing much. the breakfast was not too bad The room was right beside the motorway and very stuffy. Almost impossible to sleep without the window open and also impossible with it open due to traffic noise. The general layout of the hotel makes the bar look like it was an afterthought and resemles a rabbit warren. The hotel cleanliness overall was very poor , carpets worn and in general the hotel is in very poor condition. I will not be back |

We were thier for a special occasion (parents 40th anniversary) and the hotel staff helped us to decorate a table for dinner etc to make things more special. The lighting in our room was not working effectivley as two bulbs were blown, our shower was not working correctly therefore we could only have cold showers, for dinner we ordered six different starters only to be told that the kitchen had run out of two of them. |

The room itself was reasonable but very small however the rest of the hotel was in a worn state. Could do with being updated/refurbished |

The outside of the hotel was very pleasant to look at and the grounds of the hotel were impressive. Very tatty inside - lots of black tape put down to hide holes in carpet - doors and paintwork scuffed. Didn't appear to be enough staff. Reception staff were quite superior and when I asked about changing my booking from b & b to dinner, b & b you swear I was asking for the stars. The receptionists couldn't do this for me they said. But the Barman on that evening was friendly and helpful. |

The bedroom was funished in a modern way Yes the noise from the motorway was awful and I couldnt sleep because of it also the window would not close sufficiently and the main rooms and corridors in the hotel were shabby and in need of refurbishment, |
