Close to town
Very noise to close to clubs that stay open till the early hours
Helpful & friendly staff. Very central location.
Steep stairs but staff assisted with luggage.
Every one was more that helpful. Friendly but not overpowering. The location is very central and had no traffic noise. The continental breakfast had a good choice and someone on hand if needed.Good value and would stay again.
There were bits that could be renewed and a bit basic but we did have the quad family room which can take four adults and a cot.The only thing I would suggest is a radiator in the bathroom for warmth and towels.
very courteous and helpful staff.
The staff were friendly and the it was in a fantastic location.
All of it
Very Friendly. Brilliant location. Comfortable. Lovely building. Nice breakfast.
Shower in the room was more of a trickle than a shower.
One of our party was taken ill. We couldn't have had more help and concern. Staff saved the day. Thank you. Good choice of continental breakfast, excellent fresh coffee.
We were warned both when booking and when we arrived about the possibility of noise as there were some pubs/bars in the near vicinity. There was some noise but ear plugs resolved the problem.
Nice choise from the continental breakfast
Loud streetfront. There is a nightclub opposite. Shower fan really loud.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
white towels warm rooms
would have liked to check in a little earlier than 2 other wise everything was just fine
The shower was better than the one we have at home! Very local, friendly staff, very nice homely atmosphere.
Very cold bathroom!
Brilliant location. Hotel was fine for a quick stop over.
Shower was barely dribbling.
The Lodge is in an excellent location, and the various members of staff we met could not have been more helpful.
The bathroom was on the small side, but it was fine for a short stay.
location atmosphere breakfast variety room was very clean and beddings are snow-white
water pressure could be better, but that's expected in an old building
The hotel was very conveniently situated for exploring Canterbury and when we checked in we were given directions to a car park which we were able to purchase an overnight permit for. The continental breakfast was very good, buffet style but with plenty to choose from, catering for all allergies.
The shower was very weak, not enough water pressure to wash hair successfully.
Great location, easy walking to all Canterbury attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable!
All was great! I'd stay here again.
location excellent friendly staff parking permit breakfast good clean
plumbing on 2 floor. Shower poor Continental breakfast good but could be made more special - location easy to get specialist bakery products on the day. Would be a USP if you're not offering a cooked one or a good cooked would have been brilliant.
Location can not be beaten- close to everything incl. pub serving regional specialities, but still quiet. Staff support was fast & extremely friendly.
Wifi connection kept cutting out.
Location! We were there for new years eve and it was perfect!
Parking is quite far from the place. Ok unless it is raining.
Visit was destined to renew friendships, to do some shopping, to be able to assist at Evensong in the Cathedral on the feast of St Thomas Becket. All elements were totally realised in excellent conditions: welcome by the staff, centrality of hôtel.
To be honest, there was nothing significant that we did not like.
Excellent and friendly staff. Excellent location. Beautiful and lovely garden. Nice continental breakfast.
Cold water tap in bathtub not working and were given access to a shower in another room. Heater in the room not functioning but were given two portable (pluged in) heaters.
Very kind staff, very helpful, they made us feel like home
Close to town, clean, staff friendly, well heated.
The shower didn't work when we came to try it and the whole shower fitting fell off the wall. We were given a better room at no extra charge but when we came to use the shower again in the morning we got a knock on the door asking us not to use the shower because it was leaking downstairs and would we please use the bath instead. The absence of a car park was a bit of a problem as the car park we were instructed to use was a good 10 minutes walk from the hotel and with heavy cases it was a bit difficult
