The Lodge is in an excellent location, and the various members of staff we met could not have been more helpful.
The bathroom was on the small side, but it was fine for a short stay.
location atmosphere breakfast variety room was very clean and beddings are snow-white
water pressure could be better, but that's expected in an old building
The hotel was very conveniently situated for exploring Canterbury and when we checked in we were given directions to a car park which we were able to purchase an overnight permit for. The continental breakfast was very good, buffet style but with plenty to choose from, catering for all allergies.
The shower was very weak, not enough water pressure to wash hair successfully.
Great location, easy walking to all Canterbury attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable!
All was great! I'd stay here again.
location excellent friendly staff parking permit breakfast good clean
plumbing on 2 floor. Shower poor Continental breakfast good but could be made more special - location easy to get specialist bakery products on the day. Would be a USP if you're not offering a cooked one or a good cooked would have been brilliant.
Location can not be beaten- close to everything incl. pub serving regional specialities, but still quiet. Staff support was fast & extremely friendly.
Wifi connection kept cutting out.
Location! We were there for new years eve and it was perfect!
Parking is quite far from the place. Ok unless it is raining.
Visit was destined to renew friendships, to do some shopping, to be able to assist at Evensong in the Cathedral on the feast of St Thomas Becket. All elements were totally realised in excellent conditions: welcome by the staff, centrality of hôtel.
To be honest, there was nothing significant that we did not like.
Excellent and friendly staff. Excellent location. Beautiful and lovely garden. Nice continental breakfast.
Cold water tap in bathtub not working and were given access to a shower in another room. Heater in the room not functioning but were given two portable (pluged in) heaters.
Very kind staff, very helpful, they made us feel like home
Close to town, clean, staff friendly, well heated.
The shower didn't work when we came to try it and the whole shower fitting fell off the wall. We were given a better room at no extra charge but when we came to use the shower again in the morning we got a knock on the door asking us not to use the shower because it was leaking downstairs and would we please use the bath instead. The absence of a car park was a bit of a problem as the car park we were instructed to use was a good 10 minutes walk from the hotel and with heavy cases it was a bit difficult
Quite nice room. Excellent location. Great breakfast!
Bit too small toilet
General feel and friendlness of staff.
The staff, the staff and the staff. They could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean and tidy but needed some touching up.
It was inescapably noisy at night with music and voices from the club opposite. I would have liked the room to be a bit more tidy in terms of the holes in the wall where things had fallen off. I would have liked a headboard on the bed. and a kettle with a long enough lead to not have to put it on the floor.
Central location Very friendly staff Great continental breakfast offer
Can be a bit noisy due to location but this was not an issue in particular (they provided ear plugs as well)
the place is central and quite cheap
The heating was not working, they gave us an electric heater and a 10% discount.
Very dated, breakfast poor, continental breakfast, no rolls, cold coffee no choice of cereals , entrance dirty, broken window in room covered by black paper, shower broke, no room to move, no plug socket by the kettle.
The staff were wonderful. So willing to help us in any way they could. The bed was really comfortable. Location was extremely convinent.
Customer service was excellent was made to feel welcome when we arrived and felt that if there was a problem at all They would be willing to help.
Was nothing that we didn't like .
Welcome by staff; good breakfast choice ( for a continental breakfast ) Oozing with character. Parking was several minutes away but really no problem. A little noisy due to central location but secondary glazing worked well.
Clean, comfortable, great staff, great location.
Extremely noisy late into the nights due to location close to High Street and active bar across the street. Good windows minimized noise, but cannot sleep with windows open.
-clean rooms, nice bed, linen -rich breakfast -nice and kind staff
-really small room and bathroom -carpets seem aged but they are still clean, so what the heck :)
We loved the location. Everything was fine and the staff was very friendly. We were happy to find a room for a family of 4 which isn't always easy!
Excellent location, excellent staff, clean and comfortable room with a well catered for breakfast.
I cant fault the hotel im not that boring :)
The location is fantastic. Staff were excellent. Good breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Would stay again.
Shower a bit small. Decoration generally a bit tired.
