Just feet from Canterbury’s medieval West Gate, this charming building dates back to 1403. A former coaching inn, it offers free Wi-Fi and free parking, a short walk from the center of the city.

In quaint gardens, The Victoria Hotel features traditional home-cooked food and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from Canterbury center, and just under a mile from Canterbury Cathedral.
Score from 723 reviews Good
A delightful old pub close to the center of the city and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stour remain alongside the pub.
Score from 275 reviews Excellent
Excellent accomodation, Friendly and efficient staff,
It was so convenient to everything we wanted to see.
The room was rather gloomy.
The position close to the town is great and very freindly stall
Ideally located, staff super
cramped room, very noisy although I did request a quiet room.
Average accommodation at a fair price. Good location but noisy
Limited choice for breakfast.
central location, big bed, friendly helpful staff, big breakfast choice,
bathroom a bit small, staircase a bit difficult,(wife has a dodgy knee).for upper rooms.
Staff were nice, very close to main attractions
small bathroom, very basic, only good for somewhere to sleep not somewhere to relax, noisy
Staff. Breakfast. Quirky building. Fabulous grounds. Comfortable bed.
Street rather noisy at night, but didn't really affect sleep. Bathroom rather small but more than adequate.
Noisy at night!
The bathroom was far to small. The noisy street and the windows which we dare not to close, because of the poor construction. The parking miles away.
Outside noise into the early hours by party at neighbouring hotel property
The staff were a credit to the Lodge. They were very welcoming and helpful. The location was excellent. Breakfast was ample and the staff went out of their way to accommodate one of our party who can't eat Gluten.
Nothing all was good for a short stay. Would have liked a shower if we were staying longer.
Location Friendly staff
Very basic Noisy toilet (sounds weird but it's true) Noisy extractor fan in bathroom
The guest house was located right in the heart of Canterbury, close to all the activity. The breakfast in the morning was very good.
We were on the top floor so it was quite a hike up to our rooms which was really only a problem when we had our bags.
Fantastic customer service from the polite and help full staff, central location just off of high street.
A little noisy at night due to location but this should be expected with any town centre accommodation.
Location excellent, 2 minutes to highstreet
Dirty, exceptionally poor and mis-matched fixtures and fittings, dreadful bathroom which was just dirty and no shower!!! Website is misleading, I really thougt I was treating my family, be better off just staying in a chain hotel next time. Disappointed is an understatement.
Very convenient location. Lovely breakfast.
Poor shower, only a dribble possible. TV and wii fy very inconsistent.
Staff where extremely friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and well equipped with all our needs. Missed breakfast as my son wanted a lie in, but was still offered something to take away, which was nice. Will book again, perfect place for needs.
Toilet noisey! Didn't wish to wake my son during the night, so don't put the seat down! Which worked fine for us. A cooked breakfast would be a bonus and would pay the extra.
Location. It was all fine for me! Excellent contented breakfast. Wi-fi access. Comfortable bed.
Given the type of accomodation, I can't say I didn't like anything. Late night revellers a bit disturbing, tiny bathroom, but really no space for more, and better than sharing! Primary purpose of visit was neither business nor leisure. You need to have 'other' option. It was a family bereavement.
Perfect for a one night stop
Breakfast was great
This hotel enjoys perfect location, only 8-minute-walk to Canterbury Cathedral and 2-minute-walk to the main business street. It provides good home-made breakfast too.
The room is a little small, though quite comfortable.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. Nice breakfast.
Right in the heart of the city centre near all the restaurants, shops & bars. The staff were so helpful and let us leave our luggage from checkout until we went home late in the afternoon. Lovely gardens & breakfast was fine.
The room was very basic, broken window which was boarded up and shower didn't work properly. Very little ventilation & it was very hot when we stayed. I asked for quiet room but was put in room opposite the pub which was noisy at closing time - 2am
The staff were good and the breakfast was enjoyable
The convenient location was compromised by excessive noise from the public at night and deliveries in the morning. Also the room was poorly laid out, not enough plug sockets or space!
