Watchout for travellers: The floors are staggered with respect to the elevators. Lots of tiny staircases leading up from the elevator to the rooms. If you are carrying heavy bags, this is not very nice. The hotel has no bell desk that can help you carry your bags. But otherwise, I would still stay in this place for its value, clean/ modern rooms and location. |

Helpful staff when booking, I had concerns regarding previous bad reviews, Hayley on reception was most helpful and gave us a refurbished room - thanks! On checking out we were told we would have to pay by the debit card we showed on arrival as if we paid by cash as we wanted, the cost of the room would be 'frozen' on my card for 7 days!! |

Price & Location Room was on the main corner & it was very noisy into the early hours. No drink other than Gin in the bar.Could have done with more reception staff at busy times. |

It was handy for all city centre facilities. The girls at reception were extremely friendly and helpful. Only one bath towel was given for the use of 2 people. The acoustics in the hotel are terrible. I thought the people in the room next door were in beside me. I could hear everything they did in the toilet. |

Hard to say! The barman was sweet Location - noise from nearby nightclubs and terribly creaky floors that meant a sleepless 4 night stay. Staff efficient but not welcoming (did not seem like professinally trained hotel staff). Told I'd have to wait 20 mins for hot breakfast as they had a convention in. Furniture in room tired. |

We had a lovely room with three windows and it was fun to look into the street and watch what was going on and it's such a beautiful street with the bridge at the bottom and all that lovely yellow stone. Not being able to open the windows because the noise would have been too much from the street. And nowhere to put your soap in the shower. |

Very well decorated modern Hotel with spacious rooms. Excellent in room facilities. Room & facilities top class, however, spoiled a little by 2 single beds being pushed together |

We liked the location very much. It was near the station, shops etc. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was comfortable. I requested synthetic bedding and that was fine. Quality of bedlinen was good. The restaurant was very disappointing. We went there on our first night as it boasted freshly prepared food etc. My husband's meal was inedible. The burger had been pre-cooked, the roll was stone cold, and the coleslaw luke warm. My meal was adequate but disappointing and pricey. We were offered 'olives and bread' to start and then charged a ridiculous amount. No manager was available when we complained although the price of the burger was knocked off the bill. As result of this disappointing experience we did not go for breakfast! |

The location was very central, the staff were friendly. The breakfast (not included) was good. The room was quite small. We think the room was clean but the cream coloured carpet was heavily stained. We mentioned this at reception and were told that it was about to be changed. Could have been offered a complementary breakfast to those staying in the rooms where the carpets were so marked. It should have been acknowledged before we went up to the room. |

Location was excellent and it was very comfortable also the breakfast was very good Evening meal was of poorer standard than we expected also a door between the restaurant and bar would have kept the noise level down |

We stayed in room 25. A constant droning noise could be heard day and night. This did not allow us to sleep. I complained to the duty manager. He asked me what did i think was causing the noise. As the noise was obvious, and could be heard on the stairs, he was well aware of the cause. For that reason alone, I could not recommend this hotel. |

The bed was very comfortable indeed and I liked the design and decoration of the room I had. The lcd tv I had in my room had no remote control and could only pick up 3 english channels the rest were of an indian channel which was odd!! The bathroom had no toiletries labelled as shower gel or shampoo that I could find and the glasses on the stand were not cleaned properly. I had unfortunately forgotten to pack my toothpaste and shower gel for my trip and the hotel sold neither of these items which meant at 7:30pm on a Sunday I was left to wander the city centre to try and find these items from somewhere that was open. I eventually had to get a cab to a bp garage in another part of the Newcastle! |

The friendly efficient staff. No handles for getting out of bath. Appalling coffee. Apparently there have been many complaints about that. |

the condition of the carpet in the room was awful and the sink in the bathroom was cracked. Better value for money staying at a premier inn |

Comfortable bed, good shower, nice staff, good location Some towels were not thick and soft as advertised. No tissues or bath hat - seems like the hotel caters for the male guest not females. |
