We liked the cosy bar and the beer. The bed was very comfy and the breakfast excellent.
Location was good. Food was very tasty and large portions with veg on the side which was nice
The bar area was frequented by the locals, not a problem, but we did find the bad language made us feel uncomfortable, so we ate at The Victoria on our second nightThe plates at breakfast were cold, making the food cold
Over all very nice
It was just a bit noisy as in a vent or generator running through the night. ?
We stayed in Room 8 on the 2nd floor. Lovely big room and superb inland view. Excellent value and good breakfast opitions. Real Ale (Timothy Taylor - Landlord). friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommended for price.
Just minor issues with shower (weak), pillows (one very thick and one very thin) and nowhere to hang clothes/towels in bathroom. All common issues with hotels.
Good sized family room, double bed, 2 full sized singles and a sofa bed. Great breakfast. Centrally located
Only issue was poor shower in room
bar atmosphere and music
Staff very friendly and helpful
The owners were extremely helpful. The area was quaint. Food was excellent
Silly thing...the kettle did not fit under the tap for filling
From arrival we were made welcome. Staff couldn't. Do enough for us .Food was outstanding . Breakfast was so tasty all fresh locally. Sourced .ate in the hotel as the menu was brilliant . Presentation was outstanding
Honestly if we are knit. Picking we could have had a couple of glasses in the room to have a drink of water in the night .
excellent value for money cosy spot for a winter break hearty breakfast
Location. Room clean and spacious , good value for money , Bar meals good . Breakfast very good with good choice
Resturant not open , Drunken woman asleep on the floor in the bar and left by staff. She was known to staff
the service, friendliness and food all very good. nice room and bar.good value for money
very friendly staff, room nicely done, plenty of pillows and blankets, excellent location, very clean, massive tv, excellent wifi and hairdryer as a bonus !
slippery bathtub, should have anti slip rubber mat. no provision of mat when you come out of the bathtub. no waste bin in the loo. not enough hooks in the loo.
The dinner was really nice and hot. The room was nice and the location was excellent.
The remote for the tv was extremely dirty which was somewhat off putting. The full english breakfast was served on a stone cold plate. Some of the staff were obviously not happy in their work.
Warm and clean. Lovely place. Great value
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ate in the bar on the evening and was easily some of the best food we've had and excellent value for money.
Good location and good breakfast.
Only a very small room and noisy when band playing on a Saturday night. Didn't mind too much as watched the band ourselves.
The welcome was friendly, the room comfortable, the bar meals and breakfast excellent, the location ideal. First-class in all respects - we would certainly like to return.
hotel facilities, menu and food, location, cleanliness, hospitality,
we have been to the Grosvenor before in 2014, and as before this stay was excellent, room, lounge, food and staff all excellent
there was nothing we could finf any fault with
Was made to feel very welcome the minute we walked through the door. Was shown to a very large clean room with amazing views. Breakfast was lovely will deffently return.
The hotel was very clean, the room was lovely with great facilities, the bed was lovely and comfy. A great stay for a fab few relaxing days away. We would defiantly go back.
The staff are brill the place is warm and friendly enjoyed will be back
spotless clean room, free wi fi, staff excellent, breakfast lovely and everything you would want to eat. personal service, quality products. Would definately recommend to others. Also drink is much cheaper here in the bar than further down the hill !!
Only thing I would comment on is that there is not a latched door up to the bedrooms area if the hotel. Fine at this time but may worry if pub was crowded . This of course is a not a negative comment, just an ibservation.
