Very friendly staff, nice bar, central location. Sheets stained and definately not changed from previous residents??? Late and tired when I discovered this and slept outside covers rather than complain as no-one available to change same at 2.00 a.m. Breakfast half cooked and service very poor; we had to go to next table for butter, salt, pepper etc. Maybe we should have complained more. |

Check in was easy, staff friendly. I asked advice about a town centre location and was given very clear directions The dining room and whole dinner experience. THe dining room is not minimalist it is 'bare'. No atmosphere whatsoever, very cold and unwelcming. The food was only alright. Many of the items on the menu were spicy and I can't eat spicy food. I chose a simple meoln starter only to be told they did'nt have any!!! For my second night I picked up bits and pieces from the local asda and 'picniced' in my room rather than eat in the dining room. |

The location is quite good -- close to centre town and the train station. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The full English breakfasts were quite good. Free parking. Our room could use a few small fixes (light bulb, bathroom threshold, bathroom tile grout). |

Staff were helpful and friendly, even though we misunderstood breakfast times and arrived 15min late they let us have cereals and coffee. The room was a bit rough round the edges the window was very dirty and paint peeling off but we could see they were renovating so this was to be fixed soon. |

The staff were quite courteous and our rooms were upgraded from singles to doubles, but the place needed refurbishing. The bed was comfortable. There was a questionnaire, which I completed. I am walking-disabled, and requested a room that didn't require many stairs for access. However, when we arrived the rooms were up three flights, and the hotel had no lift. I managed with difficulty, and dread to think what would have happened in the event of a fire. The en-suite bathroom lacked a tooth-mug/glass for mouth rinsing, and the wc had a slow leak from below the pedestal, as I discovered when I nearly slipped over in bare feet during the night. The shower had no rubber safety mat or grab rails, so I didn't venture to use it. The bar and restaurant were very bleak, and the dinner menu more pub than hotel. At breakfast we were presented with a single cup of tea, not a pot - company policy, apparently! |

Public areas have been recently refurbished and were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great after party the night before! Room had not yet been refurbished and looked a bit tired, but was clean and tidy |

The hotel was very welcoming, and on the whole well appointed. It was all that we wanted for our stay. The bathroom fittings were a bit jaded, but I think the hotel was being refurbished. |

Central to Rugby School, town was within walking distance The hotel is going through a period of change, the areas that have been renovated are fab, however those that haven't are rather tired and shabby. |

Willingness and speed with which staff rectified missing items and problems: promises to be very good value for money once the current refurbishment is complete. Small points and easily remedied. At first the double room with dual occupancy had only one set of towels, though there were two sets of toiletries. (Rectified very quickly on reporting this), The rood lock mechanizm worked once its'glitch' was mastered . Might have been explained on arrival at the room to save a member of staff running back to see us a second time in an hour. |

Staff friendly. Room comfortable (top floor). Best large bathroom I've been in with separate bath and large shower cubicle. Kitchen closed at 9 p.m. couldn't get a snack in the bar. |
