Score from 110 reviews Good
The Carlton offers bright, airy rooms with free Wi-Fi and free parking, half a mile from the center of Rugby. There is a stylish, modern bar and the restaurant uses fresh, quality produce.
Score from 170 reviews Very good

Score from 107 reviews Good
staff very welcoming and efficient
thin walls, so noisy room. mattress not good, had a bad back after one night
THE LOCATION WAS GOOD FOR MY VISIT AND NOT VERY FAR FROM THE TOWN CENTRE THIS ENABLED MR TO WALK TO WHERE I WANTED
I WAS DISSAPPOINTED WITH THE WAY THE BREAKFAST WAS GIVEN.TOAST WAS OFFERED BY THE SLICE - HAD TO ASK FOR MORE-ONE BACON RASHER-SPOONFULL OF BEANS-AND SOME OF THE CUPS ON UNUSED TABLES WERE DIRTY ?
Location, parking and size of room very good.
Bed soft, pillows old and flat, room cold, no hot water in shower though bath tap was hot.
Location to party we were attending.
Heating not working in bedroom. Shower water barely lukewarm. Light not working above bathroom mirror. Bathroom door wouldn't shut properly because hinges had dropped. Light not working in half of the room, as no bulb in it. Drawers did not shut properly and had handles missing. Curtain shabby and missing fittings.
Pleasant hotel with helpful and friendly staff, decor rather dated but comfortable. First class restaurant with excellent menu and good house wine.
I'm still thinking!
Scalding shower, dirty carpet, old bed, too hot, shabby feel.
Very competitive rate for the level of quality, large car park and very easy to locate. Level of fit out is as you'd expect but I had a very good, quiet night's sleep and an adequate/good continental breakfast for only £5 extra.
Some of the fittings are tired and the heating might be a little hot in room for some (I prefer this to cold though). Pipes made a very loud noise when flushing toilet? Thankful this wasn't heard during the night.
Friendly staff especially considering a late check-in and early breakfast
Single room badly in need of modernisation. No bedside light bulb and no light shade on the ceiling light. Duvet only just wide enough to cover the single bed and 2 very small pillars. Shower in bath but no curtain or shower mat, toilet seat a poorly fitting cheap plastic replacement, water only look warm.
Tiles off in bathroom no hot water bath dirty toilet was thick with brown scum curtain rail not fixed to wall very old furniter only mirror was in bathroom left as soon as we woke up breakfast was expencive for what u got would not go back unless huge changes were made
the rooms where tiny
Large bedroom. Good shower - however trying to figure out how it worked took some time! Hotel has great character.
Room was very stuffy and warm. Carpet looked worn. Bed was too soft. If you have issues with your knees, there are too many stairs!
Excellent service from the staff. The lady on reception was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was clean and very comfortable and just what we needed for an overnight stay
Convenience to where son works.
Food is great Indian Cusine, also English speicals are very good. Satff great extremely Friendly, and greets by Name
Breakfast service Bathroom facilities Cost
Staff is helpfull and friendly, the holte is old, the rooms are small, but clean. Dont expect one of those modern-plastic-unpersonal hotels. The restaurant is just great, dont miss it!
nothing to complain
Staff very helpful. Food delicious.
Unfortunately the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.
Helpful staff, convenient to town centre
location for town centre and the venue we were attending
rooms dirty, curtain rail broken in room 4, bottom of divan very dirty, bar very expensive, at breakfast no vegetarian choice despite stating at time of booking one of the party was vegetarian. We are well seasoned travellers and The Grosvenor was one of the worst we have stayed in.
Very nice new management!!
staff were very good and food in restaurant was excellant
place itself was looking tired. we had to leave early (before breakfast) they gave us sandwiches but we threw them away as they were very soggy at not at all appertising.
Great location..huge room and bathroom..a bit dated but would stay again.
No wifi in rooms.
There was a good sized car park, the Staff were polite and helpful, the food was good and we enjoyed the charm of the historic building.
Being mature travellers we found the steep staircase, 3 stories worth, a bit difficult.
