This place had everything, you could stay in the hotel and never leave. Staff were extremely welcoming, spotless clean and incredibly comfortable :-) Made for an excellent weekend away for me and my girlfriend. We will be going back for long next time, great value.
There was no snacks or nibbles in the bar. We brought a number of friends back and probably would have stayed longer if there had of been crisps, peanuts etc. in there. Other then that we couldn't fault the place.
Location and friendly staff
No T.V in the bar area, partner most upset about watching the rugby match on a tiny t.v. in the room, without alcohol. Breakfast service was poor, disorganised, cooked breakfast was below standard.
All the staff were always cheerful and very helpful, breakfast was ample and the stay was pleasant and value for money.
The staff always had a smile and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in many hotels and B&B's the last few years and this hotel is one we would visit again.
The breakfast was absolutely very versatile and there was something to be had for everyone. But please Cook, what are you doing with your scrambled eggs??? Sorry, what a let down when everything else was perfect.
It was a good location
Waiting for breakfast for an hour and then they got it wrong. Ordered some lunch and I was cold because they forgot to bring it to us.The room was not very clean but it was good to get away
Fab stay at a really really good price including breakfast in a refurbished room (room 18) couldn't ask for anymore :-) will be back soon!!
Wi-fi only in bar area and car parking can be an issue during busy times.
All staff were really helpful & friendly. The room I booked was lovely, very well presented.
No disabled parking facilities although a member of staff very kindly moved their car so I could park near the entrance . Hotel has put into place some disabled facilities but could do with more eg:- support handles in toilets.
G&T worked hard to entertain...enjoyable evening.
Check in was over half an hour late....but staff dealt with it well. Very busy....that's a good sign !
Old mattress. Dusty rooms. Bad service at breakfast. Almost 1hour wait for 2 poached eggs. Staff blamed others
The breakfast was fabulous and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant manager was lovely! Nice walk along the sea front to the main part of town and lovely big beach when the tide is out.
The room we had was right by the road which was very noisy and that was out of season. The changing facilities for the pool were very small and could have been cleaner.
the view from the windows in room
Breakfast was nice, staff very friendly and helpful, which was important as the hotel seemed understaffed.
the hotel is in need of refurbishment
Attentive staff (all of you!) location is brilliant for whatever mode of transport including strolls. Rooms 17 and 46 were more than adequate and very comfortable. Leisure facilities (big thumbs up) breakfast amazing. Some refurbishments going on but you wouldn't know as no interruptions Keith's Diner is really great. Would love to return - we all felt we had a proper break. Thank you for the experience and hats off to you!
We actually can't think of anything at all.
The bed was amazingly comfortable the size of the room was about perfect for me and the mrs
The breakfast wasn't amazing the scrambled egg was like rubber
Friendly helpful staff. Nice room. Restaurant food very good. Indoor pool and sauna good.
good location, friendly staff, close to seafront.
The room was set for one. Only one towel, one bottle of water. Information package had no restaurant menu's although it said they were meant to be, asked for and never got.Said dial 0 for reception but no phone in the room. Booked valentines meal in restaurant, before stay but was missed off reservations. Had to send two courses back as not happy with presentation and quality of food. Odd old taps in bathroom.
staff polite, clean, comfy, nice pool, breakfast ok.
Bedroom comfy and tastefully decorated was unsure of what it would be like as it was just a standard room but it was lovel gym facilities free and clean staff very helpful and set bistro meal good quality and reasonabley priced
The worn out bed Breakfast only starts at 8:00 The Wi-Fi is pathetic - one little bar then zero
modern bathroom, clean towels and location
cold water for shower. No welcome from staff. Definitely no 'did you enjoy your stay' from staff. Breakfast room was disgusting all water stains on ceiling. Waited 25 minutes for breakfast when it came it wasn't edible. Didn't go again. Only one set of miniature shampoo's etc given. Drinks not replaced daily. Came home one night to girls running around just in towels and staff chasing them??? Uncomfortable bed. Noise above our room every night was so loud we couldn't sleep. Floor boards creaking really badly. What kind of place is this!!!! Paid by card and staff said she would send receipt by email........still waiting???????????? 3 star??? should be -3 star No fridge in room. The whole place needs upgrading. Very poor quality place.
The room I stayed in number 7 had fairly recently been decorated with a new bathroom suite
The waiter telling us he would come and take our order in just a minute he didn't mention 20 minutes
room location,clean&nice room.
no snacks in the bar,was told,:THERES NO PROFIT IN IT??. food was being carried to the restraunte passed everybody.
Very warm welcome. Had booked a double room, but booking said twin but we were upgraded to a family room which was large, warm and very comfortable. Elaine on reception is a huge asset to the hotel she was simply superb. Ate in the restaurant on first night and although the food was absolutely scrummy it was a bit like art on a plate, had to eat snacks in the room after. Again breakfast was superb, but I think the servers need a better routine as both mornings although we were shown to a table we then had to ask if we could order breakfast and coffee.
I know it sounds petty and it's not the hotels fault but as we were facing the road, there is a loose man hole cover in the road and you could hear the clatter it made every time a car went over it.
staff were very friendly, hotel is having some work done and not all of it was open and some areas look very dated. Tho there is a ramp and stair lift they dont cover all areas of hotel, breakfast was good and hot, tea/coffee making in room needs more tea bags as only 2 the rest fruit. Keith's Diner well worth a visit staff very friendly and food amazing and very reasonably priced, food in hotel set 3 course menu at £15.95 each.Didnt use the indoor pool or sauna but was there for use of guests.
there is eve entertainment BUT it is not always advertised we had 2 events on 1 night but only 1 was advertised, (we watched the G&T event which was fun but even they were not to happy as not a lot of ppl there.) i feel they should advertise all entertainment in the reception area for all to see
Staff very polite and friendly, hotel was very clean. Breakfast was lovely, although had run out of a lot of things by our second day.
Bed was extremely uncomfortable, it was rock hard and springs were digging in our body's. Very disappointing from our first visit. We had a beautiful room, gorgeous bed. This room was tiny, also on our last day workmen were clearing out the back of our room in the courtyard, not only were they shouting, their language was disgusting. Quite disappointed as our first stay was faultless.
