Seeing some reviews on the website after we had booked filled us with trepidation, but, we found them completely unfounded. This is as nice a hotel as I have stayed in ever. Large warm bedroom, good service, good food and a splendid swimming pool. What more could anyone want? To nitpik, the sausage at breakfast tasted full of preservative, and after the first day I left it alone. Do something! |

The service and amenities at the hotel were first class. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for comfort, location and service from a Torquay hotel |

The location nearby the seaside is okay. The outside pool is nice for kids. The size of the family room, with bunkbeds/ extra bed/ separate room was nice. Reception/ poolstaff friendly. The value for money was not good. Hotel looks very 'outdated'. Inside swimming pool very small. |

Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Indoor pool area was pleasant. Decor was very dated and in places quite shabby, especially in parts of the dining room. Room was very small and uncomfortably hot even though the weather was not excessively warm. |

The outside pool was lovely and warm, extremely useful based on our Summer! The waiter service around the pool was particularly good, but not sure if that was a standard thing or just down to the general friendliness of the staff. would have prefered a continental option at breakfast as with the best will in the world it's too much to have a cooked breakfast every morning. |

Everything was enjoyable, the staff was extremely friendly, the hotel was clean and had many useful facilities including a hairdressing salon, sauna, solarium, jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor pool, so plenty of opportunity to relax and pamper yourself whilst feeling right at home. It was quite a walk from the hotel to the town/Harbour of Torquay however this did not in any way spoil the pleasant experience we had and would recommend this to anyone. The hotel is very close to the beach and other facilities including bars and hotels with entertainment. |

the indoor swimming pool great, receptionist's welcoming really helpful, the room was massive and very comfortable would recommend to anyone with a young family the resturant staff were very abrupt and looked at us like we had three heads when we walked in, all they did was stand about chatting to themseleves the breakfast was cold toast and food that had been on the hotplate since breakfast started very dissapointed with that! |

The room was like a run down student let. Mould and stains on the ceiling and walls. Furniture and bed were old and chipped. Milk for tea was off. Overall not a good experience. The hotel desperatly needs an update. |

Quite close to town centre Lots of stairlifts about. Breakfast buffet had been there a long time, and was not a very good standard. The room was very dated, shower was not consistantly hot. TV tuning was bad. Have stayed in better 2 star hotels. |

The staff were a credit to the hotel. Very friendly & helpful. It was a little shabby in places, including our room, which was so packed with furniture, it made it even smaller. |

the games room, we used the most.there was a very gfood singer, that was not really our thing, but everyone else seemed to like it , and we could enjoy it,but still play pool etc in the annex off from it, so it was well thought out the hot water system was a bit antiquated, my son got scalded when the cold water suddenly shut off whilst having a shower, |

Really bad experience. I travel a lot but I've never seen such disastrous situation...We spent 4 nights and all this time I suffered because of rush, believed from moskitoes.. Reality was worst - bedbugs. It was not very nice when I saw them crawling on my little daughter's body. I have only one advice for this hotel - you have to call sanitation service as soon as possible. Without any doubts - this hotel is out of my list... |

This Mediterranean-style resort built in 1866 is perched on a cliff top overlooking Torbay. Most rooms, the restaurant and conservatory offer spectacular panoramic views of the bay. |
The 4-star Grand Hotel occupies pride of place on the Torbay seafront, with majestic views over the bay. Whatever the weather, the comfort and luxury of the Grand has something to offer everyone. |
In the heart of Torquay in Devon, this boutique detached Victorian villa is one of only 3 Torquay establishments to have received a 5-star guest accommodation rating from the AA. |
This small, family-run guest house is 500 metres from the seafront and a 300-metre level walk from Torquay train station and the English Riviera Conference Centre. |
