From the moment we arrived to the time we left all the staff made us feel very welcome and provided a great service. Contemporary decor in a spotless room. Good atmosphere in the bar. Short taxi to Chester with some great bars and restaurants. Highly recommended
Faciltiies were good Staff were extremely friendly Breakfast was delicious Amenities in room were excellent
The bed was very small - I don't even think it was a full double. The room was extremely hot as the towel rail had been left on all day and this led to a poor nights sleep.
Staff were lovely and the treatments in the spa were amazing! Meals in nelsons bar were very good in a nice atmosphere.
Our lovely view across the garden and countryside was spoilt by a scruffy shed with rubbish on top. It needs to be tidied up. Conservatory very cold, too hot everywhere else!
Good atmosphere, great facilities especially the pool etc. Very helpfull and friendly staff and a great quiet location
Only very minor issue main restaurant only had a Carvery on Sunday night
We have been going here for around 12 years, and i have not got a bad thing to say, the place is out of this world. Good food, excelent service, and the staff are excellent. I will keep coming back. kEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Couldn't fault anything. Staff friendly & helpful. Hotel well presented & Executive room smart & spotlessly clean. Had a wonderful stay.
The food was good and the log burners were very welcoming. The shower was good.
The walls in our room were very thin and we did not get a very goodnights sleep due to inconsiderate guests, the room was very small and very warm, did not feel like we had a relaxing break as we had hoped for.
I liked everything about this hotel. The furnishings were fabulous (we had a newly refurbished executive room) and the food and service in the restaurant was excellent. This hotel ranks up there with some of the best I have visited throughout the world.
The bed was a little soft for my liking but the sumptuous covers and bedding made up for it.
Noise levels during the night, there was a wedding party that kept us awake between 3-5am which was annoying
Staff were very helpful and polite and accommodated us in a different room when we asked to move due to noise from a wedding. Nelsons Bar lovely, decor beautiful. Very welcoming.
The Wifi is terrible and also you can barely watch any of the TV channels without it jumping all over the place. Take your own shower gel and shampoo as the ones provided aren't great. Some mould on the windows and some lights not working but other than that very clean.
Hotel was within easy reach yet nicely situated in a quiet village. Wonderful grounds and excellent food either in the on site pub or the brasserie. Wide choice on both menus for lunch or dinner and the breakfasts were great too. The pub had nice comfy leather sofas for chilling with the drink of your choice. Our deluxe room was excellent and very comfortable. Plus the staff were attentive and very polite. Spoil yourself with an afternoon tea with champagne, great birthday treat. Wouldn't hesitate in going again.
Lovely bar area. Breakfast in the restaurant was really good, attended a wedding so can not comment on evening meals. Spa and pool excellent.
The standard double room was very small not much room to move about. Not worth the money we paid.
Very close to Chester, we came up for our sons graduation ideal location. they accept well behaved dogs although this time we didn't bring ours as we were going to the graduation. lovely for photographs
The staff were lovely food fantastic in nelsons and ciro, the pool and spa area very good.
The mattress on the bed was to soft we were in room no 39, I was disturbed at 4pm when somebody wanted room service, doors slammed and voices heard not my idea of a good nights sleep. Would of liked the option of dressing gowns to use at the pool. Coffee in the room very poor quality, in a bag.
The room was lovely, staff friendly and food is great.
Wifi and tv signal could be stronger.
Rooms, Food and Spa were excellent.
Pool facilities were not as good as expected.
The staff were very good at the hotel. Great food in both the bar and restaurant.
Room was very warm with no air conditioning working. Also very cramped for a family room. Not impressed that children under 16 could not use pool after 5.30 pm we were left with two very disappointed children on the first night. We chose this hotel for us to enjoy all the facilities as a family.
Everything, everyone was very friendly and helpful
Nothing to dislike
Paid for a De Lux room ,did not appear to be as room and ceiling sloped causing my husband and I to keep banging our heads . No Bathrobes or slippers provided in room . Quite poor compared to other rooms in Hotels across the world , not worthy of its rating
Everything , hotel , staff , food , location , couldn't be better . We wi return !
Absolutely nothing !
A lovely and relaxing little piece of heaven, always feel really chilled here. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Bed really comfy and food delicious. It will always remain a special place for us, as we just got engaged there as well :)
It was a bit hot in the room so we woke up at night, but the thermostat wasn't working properly so we couldn't do nothing about the heat. Also there was a wedding on and the music was really loud till about half 12.
Excellent spa, massage and all services and staff in kasia spa. Excellent food and service in the Brasserie (we haven't been on in the Bar, but it was full each night) Beautiful little Japanese garden and park Nice and relaxing atmosphere, very quite.
Poor Wi-Fi poor tv signal not much to do around No sleepers or bath robs for the spa The room was a bit small
Staff very friendly and helpful. facilities spar very good pool very nice. restaurant was lovely. we were there for a wedding and they really looked after the guests
NOISE. we had a room on the ground floor right at the end of the corridor near the door and every time anyone went through BANG. no soft closer. also the room doors had to be slammed cant help it and so that was more noise and in turn it made the corridor bang again. we could hear every word from the room upstairs and next door.
Such a beautiful place to stay,, even our dog loved it.....
The location and surroundings where lovely. The hotel gardens where really well looked after and the spa facilities were of the highest standard. The room was a good size with top quality furnishings and facilities.
MUSIC!!!!! Although on the site it says functions are held so noise can be expected, the loudness of the music was not acceptable. It felt like we were practically inside the function room. We were able to hear every lyric to every song along with the bass thumping all night until 1am! I paid for the deluxe room at £205 so for this money surely the room should be located over the other side of the hotel or at least sound proofed! Its a shame something like this has let the hotel down.
