The restaurant and it's staff were first class, the food delicious and well presented the only negative being children repeatedly bursting out crying. We paid (or had been expected to pay!), £155 for a room that was positioned directly above the hotel disco! We packed and left at 10-15pm on what was supposed to be out wedding anniversary weekend away. It is apparent no consideration was given to paying customers and the only thing that mattered was filling rooms.

Staff were polite and well trained. Biscuits in the room excellent. Broken window casement meant window wouldnt close - the noise of the fountain from outside kept me awake. Noise transmission from upper ploors. Very small room (21). Spa frankly rubbish - jaccuzzi and steam room out of order. Sauna far too small - 8 people in a garden shed....

Great staff. Food a bit expensive, but good quality. Great visit ! We were in room 11 and could hear the people next door having sex, which was not romantic.

We are local to the area so eat at the hotel regulary, Sunday carvery is excellent. However we had an overnight stay this time as we were attending a wedding at the premises. The rooms were excellent and very spacious. The staff were very attentive and nothing seemed to be to much trouble. We will definately stay again

The whole stay was perfect. Living very stressful lives we were in need of relaxation and pampering. We were given room 78 bridle suite which was gorgeous. Had a massage and facial in the Spa wow! Amazing Spa. Staff were very professional and friendly. Had breakfast in our room and food was very good. Loved this hotel and will definately come back for our anniversary in March. Slight criticism was the website said 5 mins from Chester in fact it was 5 miles. Had booked a restaurant in Chester and had to pay £10 each way for a taxi.

This hotel was an excellent value, and superb location. The staff are friendly and responsive. Special Kudos to James who handled local taxi and airport pickup without a hitch. This is an excellent hotel, with a great breakfast and wonderful restaurants, both pub and Italian fare.

The mattress was to hard i hardly slept because of this. I have an orthopedic mattress at home bt the one at the hotel was ott. You need comfort for £120 a night

Spa was brilliant, nelsons bar meal... Amazing!!!! The breakfast was also lovley & had the option 2 have it in bed wich was good as was on time an also had a variety of jams etc with the english breakfast! We had room 31 which had a view of the garden water fall wich was nice & they turn the fountain off at night so got a good nights sleep in the comfiest bed ever!!!! Paid for a Deluxe room wich was more like an executive (still a nice room) but was expecting more. The room also smelt strongly of paint & when brought to the attemtion of the staff just told us had not been painted so had 2 sleep with windows open (room 31). Apart from those 2 minor things. Is a brilliant hotel!!! Would highly recomend.

Relaxation and spa treatment wonderful a Christmas present from my husband. Slightly disappointed to hear that Ciro's restraurant only serve carvery food on a Sunday, can report It was delicious and we enjoyed our one night stay, will return!

Lovely hotel and grounds. The hotel was well staffed, which is unusual nowadays. The facilities were excellent, with good restaurant facilities. The spa facilites were a nice addition to the stay. The staff were struggling a little to keep up with the breakfast demand - but I think that was down to the wedding party which filled the hotel all deciding to go for breakfast at exactly the same time!

Am definitely going to stay here again! Only issue which is not the hotel's fault is very poor or non existent signal on my Vodaphone mobile phone in this location.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a crying hungry toddler in the early hours of the morning and the night staff bent over backwards to help, bringing her a sandwich and a glass of milk even though these things were not on the night menu. Every encounter with a staff member was positive and welcoming.

Really well appointed room, nice little touches in bathroom (cotton buds, nail-file etc), very pleasant interior and exterior for this hotel. Heating system didn`t seem to work that well, and less-than-useful insert in welcome book saying its linked to the air-conditioning, but no basic intructions seen for the controller on the wall. Real shame, as the temperature of the room spoiled its perfection.

Staff all very pleasant. Budget room was a good size and very comfortable. Christmas decorations were lovely. Close proximity to Chester Park and Ride enabled us to go Christmas Shopping with very little hassle. Spa and pool very relaxing to come back to. Food in Nelson's Bar was excellent. Most enjoyable short break.

The hotel and facilities were of a high standard. The food we ate in Nelson's was excellent. The staff deserve a special mention because they were all very helpful and friendly. Our room was above a function room which had loud music until 1am, but the staff were very helpful when we complained.
