I liked the food served in restaurant and also the leisure facilities. The spa was excellent. We were given a free upgrade on the room. Would have been nice to be able to stay longer.

Wrong bottle of champagne placed in room for arrival. Cleaning materials discovered in room upon check-in.

Excellent comfortable room, quiet; Food in Nelson's bar excellent; Spa facilities excellent - gardens beautiful; Great choice at breakfast - very efficient service with friendly staff.

Comfortable room. Lighting should be improved , ceiling needs to be soundproofed and bathroom more spacious but it deserves a 4 star rating

Although room was large the bathroom was small and dated and the view from the room was poor considering the lovely grounds the hotel is located (view was of a wall a few feet from window)

Brilliant stay, great hotel with fab staff. We really enjoyed ciros restaurant and the room we had above a courtyard with a fountain was beautiful.

Stayed in an executive room we did not realise until middle of the night there was no window which could be opened.room had french doors which were locked.

Location, Food, Room, Spa all of it really, this was our 3rd time there.

We had an overnight stay to break up our journey but both wished we could have stayed for longer. From the minute we walked through the door everything was excellent, so clean, staff so friendly & fantastic food, topped off with a relaxing trip to the spa. Will certainly be back

Attended a wedding, everything about are stay was fab

not enough staff on at breakfast and they were a bit rushed

we had an excellent stay in this hotel and can only recommend it to any traveller. Despite arriving in good friday to a packed reception the staff were very professional and calm. food and service was well prepared and served with a smile. Breakfast was excellent and very plentifull. The pool and gym was buzy but not overly crowded and very clean. A very pleasent stay.

not much except the food prices in the resturant was a bit expensive for the size of the servings.

I do not expect to find a 4'6" bed in a 4* hotel these days. IWe have been together too long and need our sleep! Apart from that, the only bit oversold was the "spa day escape". The extras offered - wonderful treatment rooms, relaxation room, hammam (not actually heated and no large turkish man to rub you down!)), warm rest room (with cold stone seating), japanese garden - were not worth the extra charge.

Pool was amazing, hotel decor and ambience was fantastic and the surrounding area and gardens were lovely. Phil on reception was very helpful and pleasant.

The staff in the pub could have been friendlier and more attentive.

The temperature of the shower didn't stay constant! Also our room was beneath the atic and some staff decided that it was a really good idea to move stuff around in the early hours of the morning (1am ish). As a result our sleep was disrupted. This was rather disappointing for a 4* hotel.

We stayed here for the one night special which includes evening meal allowance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, accommodating our request to change from nelsons bar to ciros for our evening meal. The pub is dog friendly which I don't mind whilst having a drink but not when I am eating my meal. The room had a lovely view of the Asian garden from the spa and we were upgraded to this room free of charge which was a lovely touch. The breakfast was lovely and the spa facilities fantastic. Would recommend a visit and will go back again.

There was a problem with our evening meal as the two steaks we ordered were very tough. The vegetables were under cooked and we weren't given any steak knives. However The Gambas pil pil starter was amazing and the chef was very apologetic and said they were aware of an issue with the steak and agreed to refund us. The next day afrer a discussion with the receptionist at checkout she agreed to deduct one of the steaks from our bill. As we were on one night package we accepted this. It won't put us off booking again

We always use the Grosvenor as it is pleasant, friendly, good value and close to Chester

the spa was clean and had A relaxing atmosphere. breakfeast was lovely and plentiful.

We had a fantastic stay. This was our 2nd year staying at the hotel and will be booking again next year. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is spotless. The food is Nelson's bar was excellent.
