The bed was dirty with dark hair on both pillows. The room was basic. TV had distorted sound.
Friendly personable staff. Good homely room
Friendly, helpful, relaxed staff and basic but clean and comfortable . good value.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff - cant say enough! Great place
Low cost Good Staff
Road Noise (Double Glazing please) Shared toilet quite a way down the hall
The casual and laidback nature of the staff and hotel itself. The room and particularly bed was very comfortable.
The location wasn't ideal, particularly if you needed to get to Watford Junction. There are buses which help but it is still a little out of the way.
Nice warm hotel, friendly helpful staff, comfiest hotel bed I have slept in! Very Clean Bathrooms.
Single glazed window, hear all the traffic outside.
Staff very welcoming and clean facilities.
Would like to have been shown where shared bathroom facilities were.
Location was excellent for me, good car park facilities,
Poor wifi strength in the bedroom I was in .
I liked the helpful staff The close location to the station The car park was handy The room was comfortable
The shower took a long time to warm up No breakfast available
The location was brilliant for us as we were visiting harry potter studios. 20 minuite drive away ideal location with toby carvery 2 mins away aswell
That there was no food services. The bed where solid horrible nights sleep. Only haf 4 channels after the ariel had broken or something. Definatly didnt get what we paid for at all and had to share a bathroom with not one other room but three of them....wouldnt recommend it to anyone sorry
There was a welcome when I arrived. Facilities were pointed out with directions to the room I was staying in which was very clean and comfortable and although it wasn't en suite the bathroom was located directly across the landing again very clean and spacious. All in all a very pleasant and comfortable stay, I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Nothing to dislike at all.
Staff, Location, Price
Should have phone (atleast for local calls) in the rooms
Good nights sleep
Sharing a bathroom
Very friendly, excellent service lovely rooms would highly recommend
I was upgraded to a double room for the same price as a single. friendly man on desk.
Thought it was expensive as there was no breakfast.
The owner kindly carried my case up to the room as I am disabled.
The room was cheaply furnished--- bathroom and false wall all D.I.Y. There was a small kettle but only a couple of sachets of milk, tea, coffee etc and no snack, room service or breakfast facilities there at all. It would better suit workmen or travelling salesmen working away but not a solo traveller (disabled at that) arriving at 6pm on a Sunday evening with no prospect of finding a meal anywhere or wanting more than a couple of hot drinks even for the whole evening and next morning. I would not have booked had I known , especially since the Mercure was the same price. I chose this hotel because ,being smaller than the Mercure, I thought it would have more friendly service---not nothing at all!
Friendly welcome on arrival
Cleanliness left a lot to be desired Good having a sink in the room - but the wall beneath was damp and mouldy, very unpleasant The shared bathroom was not clean - hairs everywhere, disgusting shower curtain etc. On our floor there was one bathroom and one additional room with a toilet between 10 rooms - not sufficient!
Very nice and helpful manager.
The harsh lighting - and the noise from the nearby roundabout.
The room was dreadful. Very old musty dirty just quickly made up to make money. Worst than student aaccommodation. No shower and a grotty bath you wwouldn't want to use.If u make this room available u are asking for trouble
Friendly welcome on arrival
Beds were hard
The staff were very kind and helpful. They ordered us taxis when we needed, directed us to shops nearby and the train stations and even chatted with us about non work related topics. Free wifi and location is perfect.
Sharing a bathroom so if you donmt want to do this, make sure you book a room with an ensuit.
