Everything including the home made omelette for breakfast
Comfortable and clean rooms .Good breakfast pleasant and friendly owners. Would be happy to stay here again
The personal welcome by the owners. The neat and pleasant bedroom layout, two bedside lamps as well as fixed lighting, desk space, and a nice chair, and above all, the comfy bed! The setting is also lovely, beech trees, gravelled parking space, quiet surroundings, yet only 5 minutes' walk from the centre of town. Brilliant! I'll be back!
soundproofing could be better. I switched off tv as I realised it might disturb others.
Very clean, comfortable rooms. Convenient location.
This is a lovely, clean and comfortable guest house in a convenient location. Our 2 night stay here was for the purpose of a cycling event and the owners couldn't do enough to help make our stay an enjoyable one, they were very friendly, extremely helpful and Amanda cooks the best omelettes for breakfast!! We'll definitely be staying here again.
Lovely room, very helpful owners, good breakfast, easy parking... a good experience. We were particularly impressed by the workmanship that had gone into making the rooms and the dining area.
Clean and friendly. Fridge, good shower and bathroom, nice décor.
Minor irritations - bulb not working in bedside light and some bulbs not working in hallway. Bedside clock battery not working, pillow slightly lumpy. TV at side angle. Omelette slightly burned.
Very convenient, spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds.
This was our third or fourth visit. The location is very convenient and staff and owners friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
The TV didn't have a signal and as our room was next to the door the sound of guests coming and going late on Saturday night/early Sunday morning was quite intrusive.
clean, pretty rooms which are comfortable. kettle and mineral water bottles provided without charges. car parking space is available as well.
absolutely nothing at all
I stayed here as a last minute booking when a family member was rushed to Wrexham hospital from holiday in Wales. I can't speak highly enough of the guest house or the owners. The owners were incredibly friendly and sympathetic to all our needs - even finding my aunt a room after midnight, without even a hint that we were putting them out. Their generosity in providing not just a breakfast that we hadn't ordered but an impromptu counselling session will always stay with me. At a difficult time for us, they both did everything they could to make things easier, not just as good hosts but as good people. Thank you!
Comfortable and clean room, very helpful staff, good location, pleasant environment. All in all we would warmly recommend staying in here.
Only minor unpleasant detail were the bit rubbery mattress covers, which made sleeping somewhat sweaty!
Lovely couple, Mike and Amanda, running the place. They were very kind and attentive. Comfy bed, nice en-suite shower.
Quite a way from anywhere to (a) buy a morning paper and (b) get an evening meal.
Lovely welcome of lovely hosts hotel was spotless rooms were lovely our hosts were lovely and friendly breakfast was beautiful could not fault one thing
The owner operators were absolute treasures and did everything and more to assist us and ensure our comfortable stay.
the staff were so friendly and made you very welcome , would definately recommend it to friends
The owner was very friendly, remembered my name. Buffet breakfast suited me well and the berry salad was lovely.
The room was a bit small to be comfortable. I had to move my suitcase out of the way to get out the door and the space was very limited. The lack of remote control was only a problem because the buttons on the side were very difficult to see. I watched tv on my laptop instead as this was easier to manage.
Good size room Clean, tidy and presentable
Breakfast was expensive for just continental, cooked option would have been good
The smell of disinfectant when you entered the guest house and the bedroom. It was overpowering and lasted the whole stay. Also the wooden floors, this made it feel very cold and very noisy, we heard everyone walk along the corridors and unlock their doors. Although there was a lot of different things to choose from for breakfast we did not feel it was value for money.
could not fault this guest house. made us feel welcome and were very helpful with any queries we had . would definitely stay here again we are next in the area.
The room was very small but had a good bathroom. Good placement of electrical outlets. Good wifi signal.
The whole building reeked of disinfectant. In the first room the smell was intolerable. An alternate room was not much better. Awkward access to rooms. Very small bed. Location was not suitable for guests on foot like myself, as places to eat or drink were a 20 minute walk away.
Very clean, well equipped rooms, perfect for relaxing after a busy day at work.
Amanda and Mike (owners)were really lovely,so helpful and accommodating nothing was too much trouble ,very friendly
Everything, owners were great, breakfast was fantastic, more than enough to eat and high quality.
IT WAS QUIET IT WAS CONVENIENT
SMELL OF DISINFECTANT SMELL OF SMOKING NO CARPETS IN ROOM NO SOAP FELT IT WAS A BIT LIKE A CARE HOME NOT WORTHY OF 4 STARS
