We stayed at the grovefield for a friends wedding reception and found the rooms to bed more than comfortable and staff helpful. After the party had finished we were unable to get food, even a sandwich would have been welcome even though drinks were available!

Was very friendly. Enabled us to have an early check-in, which was great because we were going to a wedding. Breakfast was great, good selection. Room lovely, if a little warm!! Would love to stay again.

Location; very nice room and outlook; very good breakfast and waiting staff that morning; good value Unfortunately, we were disturbed and either prevented from getting to sleep or being woken up when we had nodded off from midnight until about 3am. We think the perpetrators were wedding guests. Not the hotel's fault but we think it might be a good idea to group wedding guests together away from other guests!

The standard of the hotel was as we had expected - very good. Staff, both at check-in and in the morning were extremely helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice and hot dishes would seem to have been prepared individually.

We were quite disappointed when we entered our room. We booked a deluxe double @ £145.00 what a huge amount that was for us but it was my birthday and wedding anniversary 10 years. Nice room but no freewiew, no mini bar, and to be honest a normal size room - but nice. We could have gone to a Travel Lodge (except your decor was much nicer - more class - better). We met Adam Deputy Manger - without him I think we would have gone home and not paid. We were gutted. But he was fantastic - so professional. I have worked in many hotels as a Conference Organiser and I must say he was an asset to Grovefield. He made us welcome and we stared to enjoy - food -staff and the breakfast was wonderful. My one comment would be I absolutley felt that his Manager (would not know is name) undermined Adam in the restauant in front of other guests.

the location and setting of the hotel At breakfast time we both ordered the full english when it arrived the beans, and black pudding were not on the plate (they were ment to be included). When we asked the waitress could we them she said they are not usually included, we stated that its said on the menu that they should be. She then said that because there was a wedding that day that our service had been reduced. I thought that this was unacceptable.

It is a good looking house and garden. Our bedroom was large and comfortable on the ground floor. It would appear that there is no Management at all in the Hotel. The staff in the Bar and Dining Room need training. The person who cooked the breakfast needs training.

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was at a 'sensible' time ie we didn't have to eat by 9am! We were able to arrange an early check-in time. Not apparent where the kettle was hidden! Bed was very hot, could have done with just a sheet but was only a covered duvet... On the plus side there was a fan. No radio avalaible on the tv channels that I could find

Courteous, gracious hosts with a great breakfast served; especially liked the fresh produce, specifically the rhubarb: it was great on porridge. Location was excellent; just off the a road, but quiet and easily accessible. Just the bed; it is short for a double, and that prevented this six-foot two-inch body from stretching fully; I slept in the prenatal position.

We booked an online package which included half board which was exceptionally good value. The room was above expectation even though we had a view onto a low roof but we did have the garden and countryside beyond (we had booked a very good rate). We had a beautiful room with minibar and large plasma screen TV which was larger than a lot of hotel rooms we have stayed in. The food was excellent and the hotel a lot more grand than we had expected. It also had a lift which was a plus as I was suffering a knee injury. The main clientel were business orientated but out of town shoppers and ourselves (travelling to Heathrow) did not feel out of place. A wonderful relaxing find and a hotel that we will definitely stay at again.

Room was clean and a good size, with writing desk, seating & coffee table. Bed was comfy, temperature spot on. Food and drink were reasonable value for money. Service really poor. No coffee or tea on arrival - just a kettle and cups. Told receptionist who rolled her eyes and wrote it down. An hour later I went to ask again, and was given a handful of sachets to take back with me. No-one came to the room. Wifi & phone reception V. poor - receptionist said all other rooms were booked so I would have to use lounge, had to cancel Skype call as a result. Fed all this back when checking out, didn't even get an apology, just the bill. Will not be returning.

The rooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable. Location was good for us as it was near our family. For visitors it is good for visiting Windsor and Eton. Shower was a bit slow. Breakfast was ok but the waiter was a bit rude. He had brought coffee and when asked for some tea he responded by saying 'I have already brought you 2 coffees!!' Not what you would expect. He could also learn to pick up his feet. Throughout breakfast you could here him walking around dragging his feet along the floor. When having a late evening drink in the bar we sat at the only table available near the bar. The staff were cleaning the cutlery and were making a huge racket throwing them into the plastic drawers. When asked if there was a quiet area, they apologised and carried on making the same noise!

Sorry nothing. very disapointed When we arrived at Main Reception, there was no greeting, it was just very clinical given our room key & told which floor we were on. I have no complaints with you, but I booked a Romantic Night for our 44th Wedding Anniversay which included in the price , a bottle of Champange , Buch of Roses, & Chocolates. When we returned to our room after having our meal. Bucket with Champange was there also the roses but you knew they werre bought from Saiinsbury , regarding the chocolate was a total of 3 brown small balls also with a strawbury. As mentioned very happy with your company. But would not recommend the Grovefield Hotel

As a guest at a wedding we had no in-put to the location etc. However, it was an excellent location close to motorways etc; very important as we travelled nearly 400 miles there & back. Luckily the sun shone for the most part so people could spend time outside in the spacious grounds. Poor shower water pressure in Room 202.
