The Grovefiled is very good value for money. The Hotel and grounds are lovely. My room was clean and contemporary. The restaurant food was excellent and the staff friendly. Thank you. This is the second time I have stayed at the Grovefield this year and my only real issue is that the pillows are very uncomfortable, which is a real shame as it seems a lot of investment and effort has been made at the hotel but the most important comfort ie to rest was spoilt. Whilst the bed is very comfortable, the pillows are hard and left me with a sore neck in the morning.

The standard of the hotel was as we had expected - very good. Staff, both at check-in and in the morning were extremely helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice and hot dishes would seem to have been prepared individually.

The hotel was comfrtable and in a beautiful setting, the rooms were excellent but a bit too hot and two pillows would be nice. The staff were helpful and polite. The cooked breakfast was poor though and minimal choice and no yoghurt to go with the fesh fruit. However I would recommend it as a relaxing place to stay. Good for celebratory functions. Rooms were too hot and breakfast poor see above.

What I liked best about Grovefield House Hotel, was the comfortable bed and also the decor of our refurbished room, which we felt was quiet and relaxing. What I didn't like about Grovefield House Hotel, was the cooked breakfast was very sparse and the pastries were mini and hard - sadly none of which were very appetising.

The receptionist was lovely and very helpul. The room and bed were comfortable and it was good to be able to get fresh milk for the coffee. The breakfast buffet was not as good as the breakfasts cooked to order, but the chef was over-stretched with a large party and we were advised to use the former so that we did not have too long to wait.

We were quite disappointed when we entered our room. We booked a deluxe double @ £145.00 what a huge amount that was for us but it was my birthday and wedding anniversary 10 years. Nice room but no freewiew, no mini bar, and to be honest a normal size room - but nice. We could have gone to a Travel Lodge (except your decor was much nicer - more class - better). We met Adam Deputy Manger - without him I think we would have gone home and not paid. We were gutted. But he was fantastic - so professional. I have worked in many hotels as a Conference Organiser and I must say he was an asset to Grovefield. He made us welcome and we stared to enjoy - food -staff and the breakfast was wonderful. My one comment would be I absolutley felt that his Manager (would not know is name) undermined Adam in the restauant in front of other guests.

The Hamiltons restaurant was fabulous - food beyond excellent! A very enjoyable stay and we would come back. Unfotunately the only downside was some dead wasps on the table and the floor. Also when I booked the stay, I ordered the romantic champagne, choccies, dressing gown, slippers and red roses. There was no slippers or red roses, and I would have brought my own slipppers then I wouldn't have trode on crunchy dead wasps - yuk!

Relaxing, pleasant grounds viewed from rooms, good choice of breakfasts. Was visiting family and did not eat dinner in the hotel so cannot comment on that.

Nice hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant very good.Room very comfortable with huge bathroom. Good location for visiting Windsor and Cliveden The down side was that although they told us there was a wedding, music was noisy till quite late and as our room overlooked the entrance and garden we were disturbed with comings and goings on the first night.Would recommend checking if they have a function if you want a quite weekend. Only other minor issue was that the curtains would not pull unless you stood on a chair and they came off the runners.

the location and setting of the hotel At breakfast time we both ordered the full english when it arrived the beans, and black pudding were not on the plate (they were ment to be included). When we asked the waitress could we them she said they are not usually included, we stated that its said on the menu that they should be. She then said that because there was a wedding that day that our service had been reduced. I thought that this was unacceptable.

It is a good looking house and garden. Our bedroom was large and comfortable on the ground floor. It would appear that there is no Management at all in the Hotel. The staff in the Bar and Dining Room need training. The person who cooked the breakfast needs training.

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was at a 'sensible' time ie we didn't have to eat by 9am! We were able to arrange an early check-in time. Not apparent where the kettle was hidden! Bed was very hot, could have done with just a sheet but was only a covered duvet... On the plus side there was a fan. No radio avalaible on the tv channels that I could find

Courteous, gracious hosts with a great breakfast served; especially liked the fresh produce, specifically the rhubarb: it was great on porridge. Location was excellent; just off the a road, but quiet and easily accessible. Just the bed; it is short for a double, and that prevented this six-foot two-inch body from stretching fully; I slept in the prenatal position.

Great building full of character in a lovely setting. Huge grounds, excellent room with good views of the gardens. Definite value for money. Would recommend for one/two night stay. Perfect location for Windsor racing.

The 2 night half board package was a great deal. The room was nice and the food was good. The head waitress did an amazing job and really made our stay at Grovefield house hotel a memorable one. The hotel was easy to find and a good location to visit national trust parks and Windsor. Would definitely recommend staying here. There was no-one at reception when we arrived. We were told at check in that half board meant bed and breakfast. This was incorrect! The hotel on the whole was good, but the addition of gym or spa facilities would have made it a great place to stay.

We booked an online package which included half board which was exceptionally good value. The room was above expectation even though we had a view onto a low roof but we did have the garden and countryside beyond (we had booked a very good rate). We had a beautiful room with minibar and large plasma screen TV which was larger than a lot of hotel rooms we have stayed in. The food was excellent and the hotel a lot more grand than we had expected. It also had a lift which was a plus as I was suffering a knee injury. The main clientel were business orientated but out of town shoppers and ourselves (travelling to Heathrow) did not feel out of place. A wonderful relaxing find and a hotel that we will definitely stay at again.

Room was clean and a good size, with writing desk, seating & coffee table. Bed was comfy, temperature spot on. Food and drink were reasonable value for money. Service really poor. No coffee or tea on arrival - just a kettle and cups. Told receptionist who rolled her eyes and wrote it down. An hour later I went to ask again, and was given a handful of sachets to take back with me. No-one came to the room. Wifi & phone reception V. poor - receptionist said all other rooms were booked so I would have to use lounge, had to cancel Skype call as a result. Fed all this back when checking out, didn't even get an apology, just the bill. Will not be returning.

The rooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable. Location was good for us as it was near our family. For visitors it is good for visiting Windsor and Eton. Shower was a bit slow. Breakfast was ok but the waiter was a bit rude. He had brought coffee and when asked for some tea he responded by saying 'I have already brought you 2 coffees!!' Not what you would expect. He could also learn to pick up his feet. Throughout breakfast you could here him walking around dragging his feet along the floor. When having a late evening drink in the bar we sat at the only table available near the bar. The staff were cleaning the cutlery and were making a huge racket throwing them into the plastic drawers. When asked if there was a quiet area, they apologised and carried on making the same noise!
