The location was outstanding. The welcome was excellent and warm. Our room was superb. You could have eaten food off the floor in the bathroom. Everywhere was outstandingly clean. Coffee was dark and strong. Thanks for a perfect stay
Nothing. All A1.
Complimentary glass of wine to compensate for dining hiatus caused by a couple of large parties taking most of the staff attention.
Ordered champagne but no nibbles available to accompany it, not even crisps or nuts. Bar lounge a bit characterless and folk able to exit for a smoke and oftenl leave door to the elements open brrr!
No sky, not even in the bar
The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.
Understaffing. The bar was often unmanned - took us 30 minutes to get a soft drink!
Room, breakfast, staff, location.
very poor wifi, it kept dropping out.. and could not connect directly.
Couple of staff, going the extra mile. Very nice room, High quality food, love the chocolate fondant and orange sorbet, serious treat. Nice dining area, Afternoon Tea looked great and popular. Lounge bar could be better stocked. Hotel is lovely for relaxing break.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and very helpful
One staff member was trying to rush us through breakfast one morning, but all the others were very good
pillows were poor & uncomfortable and room was far to warm due to the heating.
Very comfortable bedroom. Excellent food. Great staff. Lovely gardens. Nice and quiet, until... Would definitely revisit.
... early morning water hammer in the pipes and squeaky floorboards when people passes
large room, carparks, good service
nice staff, lovely grounds good location
paid extra for an upgraded room but very dissapointed, no luxuries just a bog standard room, bathroom floor tile grout dirty and lots of dust and dirt behind the sink pedestal, clearly visible when sitting on loo, poor standard of cleanliness.only enough toiletries fot one person. poor value for money.
Inexperienced staff, pillows too hard and small
Loved the grounds and the location. Room was a good size and the staff were lovely.
False fire alarm after 10.30PM was a bit annoying.
Food excellent and staff very friendly. Lovely location and very comfortable room.
Was a hot weekend and the hotel provided fans in the rooms. Very good. Breakfast was good quailty as well.
Position, staff, breakfast were all good
The shower was just about adequate
The hotel is lovely, clean, quiet and staff extremely friendly. Wi-fi worked everywhere which is a must when I'm on business, and the tv had all the freeview channels which was great! On my second night, I ate in the restaurant, the food was amazing!
No aircon in the room although a fan was provided, I can't sleep with the fan blowing. I arrived at 9.45pm to be told the restaurant was closed (The menu said availble until 10pm) The room service menu only have 4 different types of sandwiches. After a 5 hour journey, I was looking for something a bit more substantial.
A nice comfy hotel with a high standard of cleanliness. Breakfast was excellent with a varied choice. Staff were helpful as we had asked for an early check-in
Good location the feel of being out in the countryside but within very quick and easy access to Slough. Good restuarant, secure parking, internet access and a very clean and quality image to the hotel. Also walking distance to the local village
Afternoon tea on the lawn !
Good Value. Friendly attentive staff. Very comfortable bed. Food was very good value for money and of good quality. Staff handled mix-up over booking calmly and efficiently. Security gates at entrance.
Room was very nice. The Italian waiter in the dining room was superb. Old style manners and service - a definate asset to the hotel as there appeared to be a lot of new inexperienced staff there during our stay in June
bar was a little restricted. Barman was unable to mix cocktails and this was only found out after ordering a dry martini. He didnt say he couldnt make it and the drink that he brought was very unpleasant. It was also difficult to sit outside for a drink as the only bar that was open didn't have an outside sitting area. You had to walk through another area that looked like a function room to access the outside sitting area.
food, comfortable beds. attentive staff. how quickly they resolved our problem of the noise by relocating and upgrading our room.
being situated in room 207 above disco/wedding. unremitting noise until 2am.
Spacious comfortable clean room Restaurant staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful
The room was very hot Lot of noise through the night from reception area, which disturbed sleep Guest service book requires update with wifi and meal time info
Grovefield House is an oasis which is perfect for resting and relaxing before being forced into the insanity that is Heathrow Airport. It is quiet, comfortable and the staff are excellent.
