The floor was almost level. I didn't like the fact that there is no night porter and the key I was given for the front door did not open the front door so I was unable to sleep in the hotel and unable to get to my belongings.

Harry's best days are long over. We used to stay there regularly until about 5 years ago. Went back now, and were shocked. It is under new management, and the website says it was refurbished in 2008. None of the refurbishment was obvious. When we arrived there was a scaffold around the whole place, as the roof was being redone. Noise levels during the day were quite high. Downstairs used to be a fab restaurant, but now also seems to be a major nightlife place, with all the noise that comes with it, especially when people leave late. The room itself was shabby: no bulbs in the reading lamps, only one functioning light in the bathroom, and a broken bathroom lock. The windows had to be propped open with the bin, and as they are single-glazing and quite old and bent, they did not keep out the noise from the main street outside. We stayed for two days and did not get a friendly greeting from the staff during those two days. We are a young couple and quite willing to put up with some noise or imperfections, but Harry's is pricey and just doesn't deliver.

Breakfast not bad Bar area packed druken noisey and drunken students. Groups of drunken shouting and screaming females still being served at bar. Music so loud, not able to have conversation. At least 3 large intimidating bouncers patroling bar area. Large tv screens everywhere Yobs causing trouble outside, smashing bar window whist bar open, glass everywhere Had to leave bar area to find a more civilized establishment No heating in room what so ever on a night temps dropped to minus 4 Decor old and tired Youths roaming corridors upsatairs drunk and carrying pints from the bar presumably to their rooms Coffee at breakfast luke warm Service indifferent Complete lack of proffesionalism, and infusiasm

It was quirky due to it being 3 georgian terraced houses knocked into one hotel and restaurant. Generous breakfast. Helpful staff. Close to the shops and seafront. Our room was small and there was no comfy chair and no view as it looked out over a roof. Although this was reflected in the cost, compared to the larger rooms with a street view, it was still a disappointment.

I Studied in Aberystwyth and knew Harry's as a bar an restaurant! On returning as a treat for a friends birthday I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was! The room was exceptionally clear! My friend left an item behind in the room and we were contacted when it was found which was very honest of the staff! Thoroughly enjoye our trip and would stay at Harry's again! Nothing everything was lovely

My room was large and very bright. Shower was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location and good value for money. The bar downstairs is open very late and was very noisy, diue to people hanging around drunk outside until the early hours. Lack of double glazing made it difficult to get to sleep.

the hotel was booked for my daughter and son-in-law to visit me...we expected it to be noisy because of the bar and students..it wasn't a problem and knowhere near as bad as we thought it would be...even tho there was a halloween party going on downstairs...the couple will be staying there again in december as they liked it very much. this is not so much a complaint as a mention of the quirkiness...it was a bit like an easy to follow maze of stairs and corridors...small but wide lobsided doors...and a large room. the difficulty would be if you had trouble managing stairs. we didn't ask about a disabled room as i myself wasn't staying there.

Staff were really nice, room was nice and clean and the location was great. Food was also really nice. The hotel feels a bit like when you go into a crooked house. Quite uneven throughout which at times mad me feel queezy.

It was clean and provided a good breakfast The hotel bars were very noisy, full of lively students so impossible to have a conversation. Our back room was tiny for a double and it was surounded by scaffolding (as was the whole building). The rooms' floors sloped! The front bedroom (my sister's) was very noisy from:- street pedestrians, smokers, students and cars. The worst hotels I have stayed at for noise and value for money. It wasn't cheap! Not for the discerning traveller. My sister had a bad knee and had to walk up 4 flights of narrow stairs.
