Grosvenor Kensington Hotel

It was excellent in terms of location for my requirements. Ultra Close to South Kensington tube

The hotel needs renovation, everything is very tired, decor, threadbare carpets etc.

Hotel situated in a convenient location.

Although we have booked on the internet it still took the staff a while to get us into our rooms.

Staff pleasant and helpful, room comfortable and clean, breakfast was lovely!

The location of this hotel makes it ideal for visitors to most of the tourist sights of London, with the underground station only yards away. The breakfast provided was better than expected but that might be because the rest of the facilities had lowered my expectations.

Maintaining the Edwardian style of the hotel is fine but not the worst featrures of the era. Poor room heating, poor room lighting, minimal bed covers and blankets. Everything was minimal, poor quality and tired, including the staff who must get depressed working there. It is the type of hotel that does no good to the image of London for overseas tourists. Expensive, minimal service and dowdy.

The hotel is very tired with regards to decor. The floor of the room we were in 'squeaked' with every footstep and the bathroom was diabolical. If you were over 5'6" there was no chance of using the shower. The shower was at one end of the bath and the bath was next to the wall that sloped as the bathroom was sited in what was the roof space. Hotel information, both online and in literature provided by the hotel stated that the hotel bar was open on Saturdays, it was closed on the Saturday we stayed!

The only criticism that I have is the hotel needs some refurbishment, lots of chipped paint, peeling wallpaper and the sink in the on-suite had quite a large crack in bowl, on a positive note, it was clean and comfortable

It is idally situated for many of Londons attractions, the hotel staff were very helpful indeed

The hotel decor is looking a bit tired, the heating was turned up to high, the TV had very poor reception and the air conditioning was ineffective

I liked the location of the hotel.

IThe hotel was clean although the decor was old and needed freshened. The rooms were uncomfortably. Would recommend on the location factor.

The location was very good

Room in need of refubishment. Bed must be very old. Fire alarm went off. I know it was not your fault but staff could have come out to see if anyone was cold or sick etc.

Convenience for The Royal albert Hall

I thought the room was in need of refurbishment!
