Location. Staff at the beachflield hotel reception were very helpful and very handy . My first impression while booking in beachfield hotel was good, first impression of guess lodge room was shocking - not my expectation of a hotel room at all. Bad standards and hygiene in the guess lodge rooms. Brown dirt marks along shower tub and in fridge. Room not smell fresh and unwelcoming. Not worth £50 per night at all. £50 double room, reduced rate, no breakfast in a hotel sounds grand but not the guess lodge. Does anyone pay normal rate for the guess lodge? Half the price would have satisfied me Bed linens not smell fresh on arrival - pillow cases appeared to have been used, cheapest toilet paper, room scarcely cleaned on 2nd day but lost a pair of sunglasess in the room, dust/dirt along the shower tub, broken toilet seat, dirty fridge, no heating, banging noise late at night and early morning, I don't understand why the lodge is being advertised as a hotel, the beachfield hotel where clients book in and out is completely different-£50 per night with no breakfast the room was unimpressive... No informmation about the lodge in the rooms or handed to clients on arrival. Please wash duvets, quilts and pillows and keep rooms fresh, comfy and uplifting. No view, felt like in a cluster- stuffy.....dissapointed |

Good clean functional room, free-view on tv. Decided to have breakfast, heres the rub. Whatever you have, if it be one piece of toast, you are charged nearly nine pounds. Eight pounds eighty five to be exact which makes a basic room for two more expensive than a room in their attached hotel. |

Good value for money. Central location and handy for ferry. Window in room 3 didn't open - too hot in room. |

Quiet and friendly. The construction outside the window began early in the morning. Better signage for the the location of the entry. |

In a good, fairly central, location. No lift. Quite a problem with luggage, young baby, buggy etc. Requested a cot when I booked, but we didn't get one. Manager said something about fire regulations. Strange. How come 2 other rooms had cots? (according to the employee who was trying to find us one.) Sent us up a baby seat!!!! Both soap containers were empty. Metal stand was rusty. Can't answer question about reviews. Havn't read them! Also, I chose it because there was nothing else available! Would not stay there again. Also overpriced. |

cleanliness Smell as you walk through the main Guest Lodge entrance door was awful. Also the mattress was rock hard and my wife had to purchase a double duvet to lie on. They were tight with the toilet paper and other guests let their room doors slam. |

good value for money. looks a bit dodgy from the outside and did not like the city, but the room was good (clean, tidy). But make sure you stay there on weekends only because there is a huge construction side right next to it |

It had a nice clean shower room room. The room was really warm and comfortable. There was only one window and it was reallly small. Not much light coming in. |

The accommodation was basic but it was on the seafront, clean and very convenient. The price was reasonable and we were happy with the deal. There was no view and a smell of dampness in the entrance downstairs. |

Proximity to the beach and Lands End which was one reason for our stay in the area. The room was quiet so were able to have good night's sleep. The room felt a little cramped but this is reflected in the price which was reasonable. The narrow windows did not give any view and looking out it was not difficult to understand why. However, during our short stay it was immaterial. |

Hassle free. Quiet. Situated next to the hotel, there is no reception just a key coded door then rooms. It was just what we needed. |
