It is advisable to check restaurant availability for weekends and public holidays as the hotel hosts many functions and weddings.
When staying during a public holiday, please note that the breakfast times may vary and the restaurant will close for lunch and dinner.
Due to the hotel being a popular wedding/function venue, on certain weekends throughout the year music may be experienced until at least 01:00 and on certain evenings the restaurant may be closed. However alternative dining arrangements/times will be available. Please check direct with the hotel using the contact details given on the booking confirmation.

Room very clean and functional, staff very friendly and helpful, will be back in near future.
The location - easy to get to and from motorways. Nice, practical bathroom. Pet friendliness. Free WiFi.
For the price - nothing.
Hard to get into town
Clean, modern rooms and bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff. A good choice for an affordable night's stay.
Not the most scenic location but convenient for where we wanted to be. Room was a little too hot.
Good location, easy to find. Staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant had good selection and food was good, nice selection for breakfast. Room very clean and tidy and comfortable.
Cannot fault our stay! Room we stayed in was very quiet and clean , staff were very drier and helpful, going back this weekend to see family and staying here again.
The hotel manager was great, she was very helpful.
Got told we couldnt sit in the bar area with our drinks as there was a wedding on, so we had to sit in reception which I didnt like. Also the room I had (26) was noisy from the wedding guests outside smoking and drinking. A few cars had windows smashed outside also because of some travellers so I was worried to leave my car.
Easy to find, close to the motorway without being too close! Good directions from hotel website
Some other residents on second night were very noisy banging doors etc
We have stayed at The Guidepost on a few occasions and found it is normally a great place to stay, but we have gone elsewhere when we have had better deals.
On this occasion we found that the heating had been turned off completely, the passage and room windows had been left open, and the whole place was cold. When I complained the next morning I was told that I should have gone to reception and asked for a heater, which sounded a bit odd to me as I would expect a place like that to be on a thermostat, and if we were too warm we could turn the heating down, as is the case at other hotels in which we have stayed.
It was fairly clean.
We stayed at best western bradford, it says car park available for the guest but We didnt get a car park space. Bed was very soft and uncomftable, it didnt feel like a 4* hotel. Unfortunatly there was wedding at the hotel as well and the loud music lasted untill 1am, it was horrible experiance couldnt get any sleep.
A very well organised wedding and a leisurely breakfast the morning after
Attitude of reception staff on check in. Not knowing in advance that there was not a lift. Most importantly, the fact that, despite the fact I was a woman travelling alone, reception staff gave my room number to someone else. It was a friend but would far rather they would have phoned first from reception to ask if I wanted my room number giving out.
Room 12 had "droning" noise all night long caused by what I thought was bathroom extractor fan-but not the actual room bathroom /was nearby but loud enough to cause disturbnce. Early in the morning noise what sounded like motorway traffic noise but was actually the radiator/central heating coming on was also disturbing. In hindsight would have been preferable to book a room @ higher rate to ensure quiet night's sleep.
Reception staff were fantastic. Anthony I think was his name. He went above and beyond the call of duty.
We was in room 4 great location . The room was very clean and quiet
The room was cold when we first got in there for 3hr then warmed up nicely . The car park over the road did not look safe
The staff were nice. The room was comfortable. The wifi availability was good.
On the Saturday night there was a wedding and the disco didn't finish until 1am, followed by all the usual concluding noise and then lots of noise in the corridor. Things didn't quieten down until after 2am which was unacceptable for an ordinary guest. For a 3* hotel I thought the breakfast was very expensive. £8.95 for a continental and £11.95 for a cooked breakfast.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The free Wi-Fi was excellent. I wish other hotels would do likewise.
Excellent food: we had your Valentine's menu. The fish dishes were superb. Your staff were friendly and helpful
The room was excellent value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
There was some maintenance work that started early on the Sunday morning that we weren't aware of.
The Hotel is good modern and very good value for money (breakfast was lovely and cooked to order)
Could have done with a lift as stairs difficult with luggage.
Helpful & accommodating staff. I
Only a small car park & we had to leave our car on the nearby Road.
Friendly, helpful receptionist greeted us personally, using our names when checking in. Very chatty and helpful, especially when the key card didn't work when we tried to get in our room
It was too hot in the corridors. Although a relatively cold and wet evening, it was ridiculously hot when walking to the room as the radiators were on full.
The staff on Reception were very helpful and friendly on our arrival. Our room was clean and spacious and well equipped with tea making facilities and ironing equipment. Although we did not eat at the hotel as we were visiting family, the Restaurant looked very comfortable. Great value for money.
Bedside lamps would make the room more cosy as the lighting was rather harsh.
Good sized room for one person, clean and warm. Breakfast very nice served in pleasant dining room.
There wasn't any toileteries in the room as stated on the website but not really a great problem to be honest.
The décor was very nice The staff were friendly
They only switched the heating on for a few hours a day and that made the room very cold at times. It's also in an area I wouldn't normally choose to stay. We only stayed there because we were attending an event.
