The Best Western Guide Post Hotel is 2 miles off the M62 highway, and offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. With individually designed rooms, it features a resident’s bar and conference/function facilities. All rooms offer private bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Bar is a handy to meet up in and also nice to unwind in. It is also easy to find.

Very good hotel, perfectly lotated for my purpose. A very good hotel with one exception - the heating turned off at 10:00pm so the guest has no control over the temperature of the room overnight, nor is there any additional bedding. On the night I stayed it was quite cold and the bedding was inadequate for the conditions. In the morning I was informed that there were portable heaters available on request but it would have been preferable to have some control of the environment, or at least been able to add further bedding.

Very welcoming, low key and excellent service from reception, bar and restaurant staff.Met housekeeping staff before breakfast and they were equalyy friendly too.Nothing seemed too much trouble.

This is the only hotel we have ever stayed in during the winter , were the heating was on a timer. We returned to our room at 5pm and it was freezing , the temperature outside was 2 degs inside was hardly any warmer . I rang down to reception to ask if they could switch it on and they said they would, but at 7pm it was bareley lukewarm, for this reason I would not recommend anyone to stay there in the winter time.The reception area was very warm but unfortunately the customer rooms were not.

The breakfast was really good. The evening menu was varied and good food offered. The rooms had been recently redecorated and refurnished so everything was very clean and tidy.

It was very clean and worth the 3 stars. Car parking was tight as we were there for a wedding. However there was on street parking.

The location was close to where I needed to be, convenient. I arrived at 9.00 pm and there was no restaurant or room service available. The first room I was given had no heating, the second room the heating went off at 9.30 so was freezing all night and morning. Very poor and I would not stay there again. Very disappointing.

All the staff at this hotel were welcoming and helpful and always with a smile on their faces. The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of hanging space and draws. The food in the restaurant was excellant with plenty of choices. I will certainly stay again at this hotel when in the area.

Clean, tidy, good value, nice restaurant etc: a key benefit is having free guest internet access in the foyer. The hotel is in quite an industrial location, but is very nice inside. Very good location for business in the area, but not really the place for a holiday.

Everything was excellent.We particularly enjoyed the breakfast.There was a wide range of cold,chilled food,pastries etc served on a buffet basis but the cooked breakfast (excellent) was cooked to order and brought to the table,unlike so many hotels where the "hot" food is served from a buffet which means that the food can be cool,eggs rubbery etc.

We were upgraded to a lovely suite as we were celebrating our pearl anniversary. Nreakfast choice was extensive. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and excellent value for money. We would have no hesitation in recommending it. Staff could appear a little more upbeat and enthusiastic but we did notice that the male receptionist who was working very late on the Sunday covering the bar as well as reception was also on duty very early on Monday morning so must have had very little sleep,
