Food was excellent
Comfortable surroundings, new meets old style, good breakfast. Used as a base for one night to visit Snowdonia and did book it last minute.
Local area not good for dining out, although ate in an Indian restaurant where the food was excellent. Being fussy, wifi didn't work in our room and bath/sink were chipped
Staff, room, view, location
No hair dryer
We enjoyed a wonderful nights stay, booking the luxury room was a wise decision, it was perfect. The proprietors were helpful, friendly, no wonder their hotel is an asset to them. We had a very tasty evening meal in the restaurant, compliments to the chef. We would recommend to other's.
Denbigh is quite a drab town, really not much going on! So, we stayed in the hotel, which is probably the best part of Denbigh!
Meal portions Staff friendliness Bedroom décor and size History of the building was interesting
Length of time it takes to wait for your evening meals - we waited 50 minutes in total for all the meals and 3 of them came out 20 minutes after the first 4 (the staff who took our order knew we were all together). This was rectified by the staff, however, who gave us a round of free drinks and one of the meals for half price as an apology, which we really appreciated.
Stunning building with gorgeous original features which gave it lots of character. Extremely comfortable beds and very friendly helpful staff. Would like to have stayed longer.
Breakfast room wasn't as clean as it could be.
loved the location - right in the centre of denbigh. room we had was a standard double, which was nicely decorated and had a lovely view. the breakfast was very tasty and there was lots of it.
lovely large room, nice big bath and good shower, good breakfast choice
limited parking, loud seagulls just outside room (top floor)from about 4.00am
Good food , efficient staff ,clean and relaxed atmosphere
Poor parking facilities
Welcome very good, very helpful. Food good in the evening. Local beer available. Room a good size as was bathroom.
Some details need attention. The shelf in the bathroom was missing so no where to put toothpaste etc. In the corridors several lights without covers and missing bulbs. Only detail really but lets the old house down.
Clean and comfortable. Well located. Friendly staff.
Noise from traffic and Town clock. No Double glazing to help above. Leak from around base of toilet. WiFi was poor in the room so it took ages to complete work.
The hurl is a listed building which makes it interesting and the recent make over is very well done and the staff friendly and helpful . And the breakfast was very nice
Only being able to stay one night , but I will return
Friendly helpful staff, very nice room and excellent breakfast.
When we arrived at reception we were told that they had no booking on their system for us. The booking had been made for a standard room some weeks ago and as I was able to produce the booking documents we were offered an upgrade to a suite, we were obviously happy with the room but not so happy with the admin of Booking.com. This incident has made me consider whether I can rely on Booking.com in the future.
Size of room. Hotel location. Breakfast.
Friendly attentive staff, the hotel was a base for a family reunion which was very successful.
All great but could do with hairdryers in rooms.
I enjoyed the room they gave us for the price. Certain staff were very friendly but one of them who was a women told my husband to shut up twice when our baby was crying a little bit saying she had work next morning. Then same women serves us undercooked breakfast and chases us down the street after checking out next morning saying had not payed infront of loads of people in the street. Safe to say we will be trying other hotels in denbigh in the future.
The women who tells people to shut it when they have a newborn baby with them .
lovely comfortable room
car parking....the park is only small taking few cars? .
Hotel staff were great. Room wad much more then what we expected to get for price. loved every second.
wifi was not that good
Room looked good, nice repair, hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull
Bad in our room consisted of two beds moved together, but between mattresses was a gap, so as me and my partner wished to sleep next to each other we had to sleep or on one half or between mattresses ( was very uncomfortable!!!!). Breakfast was very bad: had to wait long time, cold and not delicious at all. Overall NOT good value for money!!!!!
THE GOOD FOOD THE LOCATION
THERE WERE NO PILLOWCASES ON THE PILLOWS. WI FI DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN HOOVERING COULD BE DONE MORE OFTEN
Breakfast. Friendly staff.
Stayed 2 years ago and it was much cleaner throughout. Housekeeping now poor; room was very dusty. Bedstead, lamps, furniture and TV all needed a proper dust, another couple commented on this. Dining room tables sticky. Several light fittings with non-working bulbs throughout property.
A warm welcome on arrival. Nice room with a cozy old feel to it. Nice friendly staff. Good food and very well presented. As a biker stopping here it's a great place to stay to ride out over the welsh moors. Would stay here again.
Wifi reception not good in the room but ok in the reception and bar
They were going to email me the invoice but it hasn't arrived.
