Location. Friendly chap at Reception. Everything clean.
Breakfast - awful 'toast'! No real coffee - only instant coffee powder on table. Shower/bathroom clean but v cramped.
Location good for the price but only for groups not great for romance...
I booked the Guilford House Hotel more than two weeks prior; when arrived they gave me a crappy room in the next-door hotel saying they didn't have any available in the Guilford. I didn't appreciate a mouse running on my head... besides that, breakfast is very lean...
Small, dirty, smelly bathrooms
Grubby rooms, dirty walls, furniture, curtains, bathroom. The rooms were small outdated, didn't like to try the breakfast based on the room cleanliness!! And expensive for the standard of the rooms.
The receptionist was very helpfull and very kind.
Very close to the city center
Carpet is been studied by scientist as a possible origin of life. Can't take a shower without sandals due to infection risk. wifi only in reception, where receptionist sleeps in the ground
Location to rail network was excellent. Budget hotel but it was clean and friendly. Breakfast included in the price great location for theatre land.
Bathroom was extremely small but functional . could do with a bigger dining room as we had to return to our room until there was a space available. One dining room was used for both hotels .
First off the bed in the room was so lumpy it was impossible to get to a good night sleep. Not that we could sleep anyway, as the fire alarm system went off in the middle of the night. the alarm was in the room right next to ours. Then it took many hours for the men to stop talking, i assume they were talking about fixing the alarm. The next morning we had breakfast, it was medeocre at best. with cold cereal being the highlight of the breakfast. They had only Sanka instant coffee or tea for those picky coffee drinkers.I have received one nights credit but not the second night. Not to mention they charged me 220.00 euros per night and only credited me $176.00. Something isn't right there. They billed me $535.00 USD for the 3 nights. There wasn't an elevator so we had to haul our luggage down these narrow stairway. I asked for a possible refund, the nice lady at the front desk said do you want to cancel one night or two. We had booked 3 nights and stayed one. I wanted at least one of the two remaining nights off. She said no problem. I was presently surprized she offered however she never did refund my credit card company, so I informed mastercard and they handeled it.
The location is good, 10 minutes walk from kings cross, a very busy station and 5 minutes from Russel square and Holborn, two very nice neighborhoods.
Overpriced. There's wifi but it works only in few rooms. The rooms on the lower ground are terrible, water pressure from the shower is weak, the room is humid and there's no air circulation. It's just not worth it.
good place, in center. 20min ti center. Ner the musem and very helpful staff
very poor and small breakfest. Only two toast. Small bedroom...
- very cozy even saying it is quite narrow (see unlikes) - Near the undeground Chancery Lane Station (10min walk) - good breakfast - nice installations - cable TV included - very prestative team - lots of stores and pubs nearby - quiet and calm mood Portugues: - bem aconchegante, apesar de apertadinho (vide o que nao gostei) - Proximo a estacao Chancery Lane Station (10min andando) - bom cafe da manha - boas instalações - tv por assinatura - equipe bem prestativa - varias lojas e pubs ao redor - clima calmo e bem silencioso.
- quite expensive as almost the hotels are in london - a little squeezy - corridors and stairs are very narrow - no accessibility for wheelchair people Portugues: - um pouco caro tal qual sao os hoteis em londres - lugar um pouquinho apertadinho (escadas, corredores) dependendo das malas que leva pode ser complicado - nao possui acessibilidade
Close proximity to kings cross......10 minutes
Reasonably priced. Beds comfortable. Fairly clean. Good location.
Breakfast - cereal, white toast which you have to wait a while for, juice, make your own instant coffee/tea. Bathrooms are tiny. Very basic décor / furnishings.
The shower and toilet that looked like it was something out of a spacecraft. The staff were polite and friendly. Good price.
The room could be a little cleaner with an eye for detail (eg. Mould around mirror in bathroom).
The guys on reception were helpful.
En-suite was tiny. While reaching behind myself for toilet roll, the seat moved and I fell into the shower. Breakfast: Cheap cereal in plastic containers, economy fromage frais, milk served in teapots, a jar of coffee or tea bags on the table shared tables with sticky plastic covers, soggy white toast and I had to ask twice for butter.
Quality of sleep the first night was poor due to noise and cars on the road outside, but when I asked to be moved the staff moved me straight away to a quieter room at the back. Location was great, between Grays Inn Rd, Holborn, Russell Square and Kings Cross.
The dining room was too small for the numbers of guests and breakfast was chaotic. The breakfast staff did their best to make it run smoothly. Staff were great. Both rooms I had were tiny, not enough room for me and my two bags. Bed and bedding were uncomfortable. If I could make a suggestion it would be for management to spend money on upgrading beds and bedding. Price seemed high for the quality of the accommodation but was considerably less than a hotel.
Room and sound coming from cars
The room I was given had very poor standard for the money I paid. The Internet was not working in the room. There is no work area no chain or desk. I regret having booked in that hotel.
We had a very unpleasant experience in this hotel. The room was too small and not cleaned.Unnecessarily expensive. Not recommended even for short stay.
It wasnt that far from the tube station and was good couldn't log on to the wifi kept saying in correct password but was a good little hotel
Price but then I suppoae it is in London and we only booked a week before
Warm welcome, Helpful staff well located to see central London
A bit worn looking. Breakfast room a little cramped
At least they keep the place reasonably clean.
Very poor quality, tatty place. I probably got the worst room too...... a cave the size of a closert in the basement underneath the pavement and road.
The toilet and shower room is very small, shower screen didn't close fully, was filthy! So uncomfortable to get ready in! Shower looked old. Bed was comfortable but while room needs a massive upgrade. Not bad in money but don't expect a lot for it. Staff were nice
