I had booked a Taxi for 8.30am for important audition and only as we were walking out the door was told that the taxi was not coming even thou we had seen the gentleman at the desk 20 mins earlier, He could have buzzed up to our room to let us know!
Friendly helpful responsive staff. Willing to go the extra mile, immediate response to any problems.
small bathroom but adequate clean and fit for purpose.
Comfortable and clean beds
Breakfast was poor and all the food was of the cheapest sort; cheap fromage frais instead of yoghurt, the cheapest type of sliced white bread. Very few guests but not enough croissants.
Weird smelly loo and shower. Lumpy pillows Small TV
settings of towels Nice breakfast stuff
Poor wifi connection (couldn't use in the room actually) Poor water pressure
Close and convenient for my business requirements
Breakfast was drab and lifeless
-The bed: the beds are gas-filled, which are too soft. We barely sleep at night because of the poor beds. -The staff: one the last day of our stay, the fire alarm went off, at 7 in the morning. The reception was empty then, no one was there, only the monitor was working. We have to vacate from the hotel without any assistance -The wifi: poor connection, shut down in 75 seconds everytime -The room service: the check-out time is 11:00, but the cleaning staff insisted to enter our room at 10:30, when we were still getting dressed. -Terrible paint smell
Location and cost
Contintal breakfast consisted of cereal toast and tea - something cooked and hot would be more in keeping with description
The bed was comfortable. Staff nice but not overly friendly... Bedding clean, extra blanket provided thankfully!
The toilet was very, very cramped and not that clean. You literally step up into the bathroom which immediately had a toilet and shower. Tiny. You could see grime in between the shower door that pulled across. The room was freezing when we arrived (but thankfully the radiator worked!) Shelf to make tea was tilted so cups could slide off, dangerous. Would pay an extra £10 to stay elsewhere if there was availability. But to be completely fair, it was fine for the for price though for one night.
One day we dont have hot water. Two of four days we cant login to internet
Its a cheap budget hotel a little dated but my room was clean and tidy and i would definatley stay there again when travelling in London. Also staff can't do enough for me on my 2 nights stay. Short walk to Russell Square Tube and west end. Thanks
The room was clean comfortable & the continental breakfast was very satisfactory.
The room was a bit hot & we could not get at the radiator because of the bed in front of it. However, it was better being hot than cold !
the staff specially shaz the location
the dirt . there is a serious cleaning issue. you should change the cleaning personal.
Not clean enough and as a single female I didn't feel the room was very secure
Cheap (for London...)
All towels were gone from the room on 2nd day, maid was rude during breakfast, wifi stopped working after first day.
Bed was comfortable, linen clean room was clean & tidy
Room v.warm. Radiator on all night & unable to turn down/off - control knob missing. Window did not open far enough to give ventilation
It was close to our chosen venue. The receptionist was welcoming and explained everything we would needed to know. We had our set of keys to the main door allowing easy access. It was quite in the room. The room was tidy. Towels and spare toiletries were offered. The room was of suitable size. There was free TV.
The actual hotel room was not in Guildford House Hotel but a neighbouring hotel. The en suite was basically a single cupboard converted to a shower room, similar size to that you would find on a Touring Caravan. The room was cold of a night (tip-ask how to use it!). Check out was at 11am.
Aeroplane bathroom and uncomfortable bed. Rightly specified as 2 star and fairly priced.
I felt safe, and the people were kind.
Walls are thin, and the bathrooms very small!
Good location. Reception always staffed.
Bathroom is a cupboard and terribly wet and damp. Really shouldn't be advertised as a bathroom. It's a cupboard with a shower and toilet.
Small room for 3 people Dirty in every aspect Smokers on site and a other substances that could be smelt Caravan bathrooms £129 for 1 night totally over priced Noise levels would warrant investigation Didn't try breakfast was to afraid
Location is excellent.
No lift at hotel. Shower of poor quality and more cleanliness required.
We wanted a place to sleep. That's what we got. Good value. If you want all the trimmings, look elsewhere. If you want a place where the basics are done to the right standard, you can save money by staying at this very good budget-priced hotel.
It was the only hotel still available for a short term booking. Price was cheafor London. Simple breakfast, friendly staff.
very limited comfort, in line with price paid
