The Strathardle Inn is a beautiful little hotel set in glorious Perthshire landscape. Good home-cooked food sourced locally, fine ales and a roaring fire, what more could you want?

The rooms...the spotless shared kitchen...cosy lounge...our dogs were welcome.
Nowhere to buy food for miles...remember to take your own.
No staff available for guidance and advice. Lacked hospitaility.
GulabinLodge is not a Place worth a visit hen you comeback as family. We mey T a Young person WHO almost did not understand English. We tried to ring the Place before arrival with nolnoluck.
The loundge and the kitchen are very confortable.
In the morning there wasn't Any staff till 10am.
Had the lodge to ourselves so open fire place lounge kitchen great
No baby cot as requested and we never saw any staff member on arrival or before departure at 10am. Left a note
Lovely ambience- loved the log fires. Good selection of books and games, well equipped kitchen. Fabulous location, friendly staff
Excellent facilities, warm and handy for where we needed to be
VERY squeaky floor in our room which made us very aware of disturbing other guests
Location communal facilities looked good/comfortable
No reception in evening No food available
Lovely scenery, loved the living rooms
The owner took £15 from my bank card a few weeks later without my permission
location cosy & warm open fire
ski hire place opened a little late but it turned out ok
Its a nice place poorly managed
Was contacted 5 days after my trip to be told the key was missing and got charged £15 to replace it. Owner is a joke
Only a few miles away from the slopes of Glenshee and was so easy driving there first thing in the morning to make the most of the day!
Despite there being an individual thermostat in the room, the underfloor heating wasn't working in our room. We had to wear our warm clothes in bed; much need when temperatures are below zero .
This "lodge" is a hostel. Beds are really uncomfortable. No tv or basics in room. Lights broken. Staff don't even stay there so it's just an empty house anyone can come into. People getting drunk and too much noise to get any sleep. Really poor
Relaxed and friendly and maintained to a very good standard compared with other accommodation of this type.
Price a little high.
Really pretty, cosy lodge in a beautiful location! The log fires were exactly what was needed after a days skiing! The beds were really comfy and the rooms a pretty good size. The lodge was perfectly clean and the kitchen was really well stocked with equipment for cooking! Fantastic stay, thanks!!
Nothing really, but some board games might be nice as we forgot ours!
The Lodge was clean and comfortable, open fire ready set for evening. Excellent for Glenshee ski area. But, beware its a Hostel.
Booked on internet with phone morning of arrival, didn't realise was a hostel, no staff, no towels, no food & no breakfast. So I felt a little ripped off at £48 for a bunk bed. More a problem with booking.com than the lodge though. Luckily The spittle of GlenShee Hotel does Food.
I enjoyed my stay at the lodge.
I didn't like being falsely accused of breaking and entering and also accused of stealing, nearly a week after I stayed. The worst part of it was when I took time out to phone friends and make sure no one had been involved, I didn't even get an apology. All of this because I was in a group of 4 guys and drive a van. Shocking. I would advise staying at the spittal of glenshee hotel across the road. The people there were wonderful.
log fire in the lounge.Scenery. lots to do.
wooden house, natural environment
the lounges downstairs can have large noises with other groups chatting there... sometimes till late night...
Location Large communal eating area Well stocked kitchen with utensils etc Cosy-old ski lodge Easy to access Sitting rooms
Not 24 hr staff although able to accommodate late check in Toilets and showers shared-this should've been highlighted during the booking process Basic but expensive If you know what you are getting prior to booking then you will not have any shocks, so perhaps more an issue w bookings.com than criticising a place for what it's not ( ie a b&b or hotel type rather than the old ski lodge that it is)
Very helpful staff, went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. High quality linens, better than some 5 star hotels I've stayed in. Amazing. Clean well equipped kitchen and two lovely communal lounges with fireplaces and sofas. We were there in summer but it must be a great place in winter after ski trips
No wifi in the hostel/ lodge areas but the owner is upgrading and did help us to use the wifi in the self catering house area.
Beautiful location great if you want remote and quiet
Felt more like a Hostel than a Lodge, staff where not that helpful but friendly. the family room was a bunk (no double bed) and the shower facilities where shared.
Coming to the Lodge was a great point of our trip. For being backpackers it was a little difficult not have any store nearby but the staff was more than helpful to make sure we had what we needed to enjoy our trip. It turned out a highlight of our trip to the highlands. The Mountain Bikes we rented we also in great shape and I would highly recommend that.
