Betty was nice
Poor internet and the room was too hot. The bathroom was very cramped. Overall, not bad value!
Food, Bed, staff friendliness and service
Room too light from street lamps!
Comfortable spacious room in a good location, close to the beach and easy walking distance from the Lanes and centre of town. Only issue we had was the noise outside which disturbed us most of the night.
Generally noisy from passers by most of the night.
Helpful staff. Room nice & Clean. Comfortable bed. Excellent location near to seafront and close to town centre. Recommend this hotel/ B&B
Cheaper parking permit voucher was available from the hotel however unfortunately we checked in quite late at around 9:30pm so ended up driving round the awkward one way streets around the hotel for about 20 mins looking for a space....which we couldn't find. Had to use nearby parking lot in the end, £17.50 for 24 hours.
Staff gave us a warm friendly greeting from the start. The possition just off the sea front, away from night spots but in the middle odpf the Bohemian Stein area enables the Gulliver to cater for all types of guest from chilldren to students to older couples. Restaurants arround the area abound but why when the Gullivers serves excellent food at a very competitive price. The breakfast full english was superb and again the staff were excellent both with service and conversational knowledge of the local area. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, beds were comfortable, above all the hotel was quiet affording a great nights restful sleep. All in excellent will stay again and will recommend
A warm welcome and the upgrade to a room with a shower. Lovely breakfast. Civilised Sunday breakfast hours. Central location in a fun part of town. Helpful and friendly staff.
The loos were a bit of a schlep down two lots of stairs, but were very clean when I got there!
View of sea Pleasant staff Excellent breakfast
Having to wait to be let in on arrival
Location within 5 minutes walk of Brighton Pier and Wheel. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Full English breakfast sets you up for the day!
Everything! Couldn't ask for a nicer place ..
LOCATION OF HOTEL
HANDSINK IN ROOM WAS BLOCKED AND WATER TAKING WHILE TO DRAIN AWAY, SO HAD TO USE OUTSIDE TOILET FOR WASH
The beds are very comfortable & the toilet was nice & clean. Staff friendly and polite. 24 hour reception.
Being given four keys and two of them didn't work - one of which was for my toilet! I ended up having to the use another one upstairs which was not acceptable (as nice as the staff were)..also don't let staff who aren't trained show you the room etc! It was embarrassing watching the girl not knowing which key was for which door! Also my phone in the room didn't work! I'd stay again but only if there were en suite rooms available...not worth it otherwise!
Price, central location, delicious breakfast, tea and coffee in the room very friendly, helpful staff.
Locks on doors which didn't really work well. Separate loo and shower not great. Walls too thin between rooms.
All staff worked hard at bieng very accomadating and Very clean and pleasant. Good location and was pleased with the change of rooms although was quite noisywith bieng on the basement but couldn't be helped due to people coming in and out. Had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again next year if we get to come back
Pancakes were rubbery.
Location great. Breakfast very good. Well insulated for sound.
En suite bathroom small with dark decor. Parking arrangements.
The staff are so helpful, the food is great, the rooms are comfortable and very clean and the location of the hotel is close enough to all that is going on without all the bustle and noise.
The parking in Brighton is very tricky and it is not possible to park outside the hotel. The first night the car had to be parked a long way from the hotel but we could move it a bit closer the next morning.
Gullivers isn't the cheapest of places but it's worth it. Great location. You wouldn't know you're literally yards away from all the major attractions. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast excellent and the beds afforded the best nights sleep every.
My only criticism, and it didn't affect me personally - too much - is that the en suite was a little cramped. That said we would definitely go there again.
The location and friendliness
Small room tiny window noisy outside and a toilet and shower outside our bedroom. Our bathroom was tiny.
All the staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was really good.
Tiny bathroom and going two doors down in the pouring rain for breakfast we were not advised of this
Very nice hotel, more than you can imagine, highly recommended
Location is spot on,room comfortable and warm, breakfast plenty and filling, staff friendly and polite,
Creaky floor boards, but what do you expect in an old building
The location and the breakfast
The beds are small and the matress is a poor quality
Sea view, breakfast excellent, comfortable bed. Pl eee asant and helpful staff. Brilliant location.
Tea coffee and biscuit facilities poor one biscuit between two went out to buy tea and coffee. WiFi intermittent and phone in room didn't work. More feels would be good eg one for hair as well as body.
the staff was very helpful, the room was tiny but very clean and it had anything you need, and the sleep was very comfortable. Great breakfast and good atmosphere, great location really close to the seafront. If I return to Brighton, I'll definitely come back to Gullivers
