Price, central location, delicious breakfast, tea and coffee in the room very friendly, helpful staff.
Locks on doors which didn't really work well. Separate loo and shower not great. Walls too thin between rooms.
All staff worked hard at bieng very accomadating and Very clean and pleasant. Good location and was pleased with the change of rooms although was quite noisywith bieng on the basement but couldn't be helped due to people coming in and out. Had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again next year if we get to come back
Pancakes were rubbery.
Location great. Breakfast very good. Well insulated for sound.
En suite bathroom small with dark decor. Parking arrangements.
The staff are so helpful, the food is great, the rooms are comfortable and very clean and the location of the hotel is close enough to all that is going on without all the bustle and noise.
The parking in Brighton is very tricky and it is not possible to park outside the hotel. The first night the car had to be parked a long way from the hotel but we could move it a bit closer the next morning.
Gullivers isn't the cheapest of places but it's worth it. Great location. You wouldn't know you're literally yards away from all the major attractions. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast excellent and the beds afforded the best nights sleep every.
My only criticism, and it didn't affect me personally - too much - is that the en suite was a little cramped. That said we would definitely go there again.
The location and friendliness
Small room tiny window noisy outside and a toilet and shower outside our bedroom. Our bathroom was tiny.
All the staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was really good.
Tiny bathroom and going two doors down in the pouring rain for breakfast we were not advised of this
Very nice hotel, more than you can imagine, highly recommended
Location is spot on,room comfortable and warm, breakfast plenty and filling, staff friendly and polite,
Creaky floor boards, but what do you expect in an old building
The location and the breakfast
The beds are small and the matress is a poor quality
Sea view, breakfast excellent, comfortable bed. Pl eee asant and helpful staff. Brilliant location.
Tea coffee and biscuit facilities poor one biscuit between two went out to buy tea and coffee. WiFi intermittent and phone in room didn't work. More feels would be good eg one for hair as well as body.
the staff was very helpful, the room was tiny but very clean and it had anything you need, and the sleep was very comfortable. Great breakfast and good atmosphere, great location really close to the seafront. If I return to Brighton, I'll definitely come back to Gullivers
It was pleasant and cosy.
A bit tatty.
location was great close to everything, sea ,bars, shops and all the gay venues.
had new cut keys 4 in total and two needed some adjustment as trouble opening doors.
The location of Gulllivers is very good for the price. And the hotel provides a parking voucher for several local roads for £7.50 per day.
The twin bed room we occupied was not in a good location within the hotel. It was right next to reception which was noisy, overlooked a brick wall and conservatory roof, so no view. And the noise from the street and other visitors staying in the hotel kept us awake. Perhaps another room would have made a difference.
Our rooms were very tired. There were light fittings hanging off of the ceilings, shower door wouldnt stay closed, one room you have to walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom, upstairs was very hot, no sockets in sensible places ie next to the kettle to plug it in! And all the beds were very uncomfortable with springs digging in to you. Overall not very impressed especially when we paid £115 a night. Would have been happier with a travel inn
No air conditioning, as it was an extremely hot day/night, had to sleep with window open and there was a lot of noise in the early hours from both bin men and seagulls. Breakfast was not too good, sausages were not cooked properly, we were given butter that was off and milk for cereal had gone off (both of these were corrected after it was brought to their attention).
Great location, good breakfast. Great WiFi. Easy check-in and check.out. Windows could be opened for fresh air, great! Great view of park opposite. Decent shower, somewhat low pressure though.
The weather between 24 and 27 August 2014. Windy, chilly.
The location was good and the outside was appealing We arrived slightly before check in time which was no problem and we were greeted well - all the staff were very friendly and helpful
Room a bit small and bathroom very small considering the price which was not budget. General atmosphere was stuffy and at one point the drains smelled. We could also smell the kitchen cooking breakfast even though we were two floors up.
All the staff were very accomodating and pleasant to deal with. Breakfast was excellent and high quality. Location is spot on only being for example a 10 minute walk to the pier.
As with many UK seaside destinations room prices are too high, certainly when compared to foreign destinations and sadly this place was no exception, the decor was out of date and needed TLC. I felt a bit ripped off as it is sold as a place with more style and character. Shame.
The amount of stairs, and parking was a hassle
The staff were very helpful Location of hotel
The quality of the mattress Tea and coffee for three people in the room
Decor needs updating
There was an error with my booking which was not picked up until it was too late because the hotel did not follow the usual procedure of a courtesy call. I was unaware anything was wrong until I got charged the full amount on my card and there was no discretion what so ever!
