Good,

“Proximity to beach and shops/bars/restaurants etc. Breakfast is excellent. Hotel is clean and pleasant and staff friendly and helpful. 24 hr parking permit for £5.50 is good value but you have to drive around the zone a bit to find a space.”

i liked the hotel because it was so central so everything we were looking for, the breakfast was fantastic and room was clean and had everything we needed. i would definitely stay again. if i had one complaint it would be the shower pressure wasn't that great but i can understand this with a small hotel and many rooms.

Yes Brighton does seem to be short of quality hotel accomodation, but I cannot believe Gullivers can get away with charging as much as they do for such tired dated mediocre rooms; the only positive thing about the room was that the bed was comfortable. Reception is bizarre, when they turn up, and there are no decent public rooms. Yes thye breakfast was quite good but we couldn'y wait to leave. The hotel, recption, staff, room, decor and price

Nicely decorated rooms in a well-located hotel near the beach and Brighton Pier. Good breakfast included. My single room was a bit on the small side.

As always the parking in Brighton is difficult but when we understood the parking permit on offer & found a place (which is like hell on earth in Brighton) it worked well for us. The room heating did not come on even in the morning and as we had a basement room this was a little uncomfortable. The door jammed on the bathroom and had to be forced open, then left open at all times, the blinds did not keep the glare of the street lights out. Then of course the party people returning past the b & b woke us up too many times!! Points made for the b&b to improve.

Nice basic clean hotel, comfy beds, good location for restaurants bars clubs and shopping.Would stay there again. Breakfast very good and choices available. We were situated on the top floor where we had to negociate 4 flights of narrow stairs, no lift and with a lot of luggage it was very tiring. Not good for people with disabilities. Also room was never serviced for 3 days we had to ask for towels and toiletries etc, but to be fare we didnt leave the room till after lunchtime..But it did give them plenty of time to clean the room, if they so wished.

Staff were most helpful. Room was of a good b & b standard with good decor. The central heating came on in the evenings but not in the mornings! Floorboard creaked quite a lot!

Very clean quiet hotel in a very good location. The room was a little on the smallside and would have preferd a bigger bathroom. Howevwer would definatley book again. Just size of room and bathroom being a little too small but would not put me off booking again.

Friendly, helpful staff, excellent breakfast and the fact I was able to smoke in my room was a big bonus. Comfortable bed and reasonable shower room. Tired looking room with some lights not working. Tea/coffee facilities had to be requested to be augmented as there was not enough milk/coffee/sugar. The heating was very bad and I had to request on a daily basis for there to be heat in the room/shower room. As for the next question, recommend with reservations....

The breakfast was lovely, and the location is very convenient. Very noisy - we were told our room was soundproofed but there was no way this was true. There are lots of banging doors and creaking floor boards. Also we were on the ground floor and the road is quite busy and the windows aren't double glazed. The building is a lovely old house but the interiors are cheap and distasteful. The twin beds are teeny teeny tiny with these miniature duvets that don't cover you if you sleep on your side! One of the male staff was extremely curt and very unhelpful, he snapped at my mother at one stage when she asked him simple directions.

Very freindly clean nice room and quiet nice breakfast. People were very noisy leaving the hotel in the morning slamming the front door as they left some sort of anti slamming device ie a slow retun closer would eliminate this.
