Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and functional
It is off High Street, traffic noise and shop alarm going off in middle of the night.
The location was great and the price was good. I wasn't looking for luxury just somewhere reasonably priced to stay for the night. The décor was dated but overall the environment was relaxed and friendly
Bad car park big tent in it no one on reception to check out breakfast served too late and not very good either.
The staff was co-operative, friendly and Very patient. I was with young kids and had religiously food restrictions (halal food) so they provide us the separate fridge and microwave facility which was awesome and much appreciable. Thanks.
Staff were fab and friendly :-)food was lovely
No wifi signal in the upper room
Location is good and rooms are quite spacious. A very reasonable price for a last minute booking.
The reception is difficult to find and mostly unmanned. There was no WIFI and when I called down to the reception there was no answer. The bath was not clean (it had hair in there from a previous tenant). They only gave us towels and shower gels for 2 people in each room even though we booked for 1 adult and 2 children in each room. Again when I tried calling reception there was no answer. No lift - a bit tricky with kids and suitcases when you're on the second floor up.
room 2 chairs and a table near bay window was nice to sit down and watch outside
parking was a headache because they had a big marque up
Central for we're we wanted to visit, staff were friendly, good English breakfast, room was clean
Creaky floorboards, a bit dated,
Pleasant staff, nice clean large airy room, central location and good breakfast.
Beds, uncomfortable No cooling facilities in the room which was extremely hot, so we needed to leave the window open at night which made it very uncomfortable.
Everyone spoke Welsh. Very accomadating.
Bed a bit hard. But where moved to another room
The room was very tired ie bed . Broken hair dryer. light bulbs out .
Not a lot
No one on/near reception when we checked in. No registration form to fill in - a legal requirement.
handy to bala lake and very clean
Central location in Bala & very close to the Bala Show
Really friendly staff, great food!!
Was there for a triathlon the following morning. Noisey gang of blokes shouting and geering until 3am!!! not staying there again.
Location in Bala was excellent. Rooms were clean
Room are a looking a little tired but there were comfortable and clean
Stayed here for one night & were greeted by friendly staff. We arrived a bit early which wasnt a problem, we had a drink in the bar with a game of pool whilst the cleaners finished our room & we were still allowed to check in an hour early. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is in Bala high street, just a short walk from the stunning lake itself. Our room was a large family room & although we didnt have kids with us, it was a good size, tastefully decorated & very clean throughout. The shower was good & hot but the taps had "hot & cold" written in welsh on them. As funny as this was (& we did have a good giggle), all we had to do was turn them on to find out. Its a shame we didnt stay for breakfast as the previous reviews suggest they are legendary but we simply had to hit the road (maybe next time!)
I would suggest keeping your window closed overnight as the noise from the surrounding pubs can get a bit loud (nothing too bothersome though)
Wi-fi was poor and had a lot of noise from Bar
Very friendly establishment. Would highly recommend if people are prepared to stay in rooms above a pub.
All good, no qualms or criticisms at all
We needed an early breakfast and this was accommodated without fuss
Quite a lot of noise until well past midnight.
Breakfast was great, hot on time, and tasty. Coffee could have been better!
Our bed was terrible, didn't sleep on it. Floor was more comfy. Dont wait till November the 5th to burn it! Riots, swearing and girls screaming outside till 4 a.m then the drunks piled into the hotel. Think we had 3 hrs sleep. Horrendous. Over priced. We complained but no offer of a reduction.
Stayed the week with work, comfortable room, cleaned everyday. Breakfast was very nice as was everyone i dealt with. Would definitely stay again.
Had a power cut through no fault of the hotel's, which caused slight inconvenience but fixed promptly.
No hot water for shower in the morning Free Wifi didn't work Breakfast was small and mediocre
