Score from 15 reviews Very good
Location. Nice old (main) building. Evidence of cooking ability at dinner.
Run down and shabby. Cheaply constructed "garden wing", like an overgrown garden shed. Poor maintenance of grounds. Mean breakfast for the price. Offhand service at breakfast. Bill included an overcharge which was reduced only after considerable discussion.
Staff very helpful
Very comfy bed Spotlessly clean Quiet Old, interesting and quirky
In need of some updating The shower just gave me head clearance & I'm only 5ft 1inch tall. My partner had to almost kneel down to wash his hair. The shower rail was hanging by a thread. The sofa in the room was very cheap & tacky. The curtains were very strange - the lining was much longer than the curtain and the drawpull didn't work so they were difficult to draw. Only Shower gel and very hard small soap provided - no shampoo or conditioner. Wouldn't mind this if it was a budget hotel but we paid £460 for 4 nights and that was room only!!
Quaint old building, good breakfast, froendly staff.
Food wasn't great, apart from breakfast, which was.
The staff were wonderful a problem with the room was resolved straight away with the offer of an alternative the food and service in the dining room were exeptional and the rooms were well equipped and cosy
Had nothing todislike
Bed was comfy Nice hot shower Interesting decor Quiet night after 11pm Central location to village Polite staff Good wi-fi access
Room too hot upon arrival Heated towel rail lethal! Floor very uneven No itv on tv! Noisy / smoking guests beneath window
Architecture; location; character
Needs a bit more spent on keeping it well painted and garden cared for
Attractive historical building
Bathroom: door did not shut - could not be locked, tiles cracked or missing, bath mat frayed and with holes. Bedside light not working and switch taped over. Carpet and furniture old and shabby.
Staff were a little slow, due to high demands during the Royal Welsh Show period..
