free airport shuttle early breakfast good value
Close to the airport Accessible by car and bus
There was no hot water in the shower Early checkout at 1000 The facilities look a little bit tired already
The easiness to the airport and transport back and forth
Scruffiness of the rooms and bathrooms.
A simple hotel but for one night before travelling it was perfect!
The ad says free car park but no! No place in the car park anyway
polite staff always ready to help room are cheap
the shower should have movable shower taps. my girlfriend had her hair all wet every time she got a shower. - we reserved as a couple but only got one towel. kind of funny -breakfast is register when u arrive but you still have to reorder in the morning. not competent in kitchen
I found the staff to be rude and unhelpful on the phone. I was asked to contact the hotel concerning a booking I wished to cancel. They have not replied to my email. In one phone call a man was laughing on the phone to a colleague which I felt was directed at me. In a further phone call a man cut me off after constantly putting me on hold to take other phone calls.
prompt pick ups from both gatwick airport and hotel with good drivers.
Parking my car was easy, the wifi was good, best of all was the shower (large cubicle, strong water-flow). I liked access to a room to iron a shirt.
The staff member who served me at breakfast had very limited grasp of english. The other staff member who dealt with my check out, though not hostile or unfriendly, offered little warmth or communication.
Free transfer to/from airport. Raiway station Horly is not far away the hotel
Free Wi-Fi 30 min only
Abrupt greeting by reception staff, first words being to tell me I had to be out early. Unpleasant pervasiveness of food smells even on my bedding. Breakfast was in a feeding warehouse and was basic at best. Not worth the saving. Spend a little more elsewhere!
Late booking, 24 hour reception, big plus was having triple room -, perfect for young family of 6 (i.e.2 rooms). English breakfast included was what swung us to book and no regrets on this one (this was a bonus with booking.com - not offered for booking direct with hotel).
This is a basic hotel in an old house, squeeky floor boards, but functional.
Convenience of transport to the Airport.
Lack of staff on the desk when needed. Having to do ironing in the laundry room
lack of staff in the morning made breakfast experience not very good. had to wait for fifteen mins for mugs to help ourselves to tea....had to ask for bread, milk and the poor man who had booked us in was the only one serving and cooking breakfast.
The rooms are quite comfortable.
The food was of poor quality. The bar is very basic with no draught beers. The breakfast was very poorly made
This was my second time in this hotel. The staff was helpful, the room was good and the transport excellent! I will go there again!!
Staff where helpful, close to Gatwick airport and they have their own shuttle service at a reasonable price.
Hotel room was dated and in need of an upgrade. English breakfast was fine a little on the small size, however when I tried the pineapple chunks it tasted off.
I paid for a cooked breakfast, but only had a continental breakfast as I had an early flight
Location and clean bed
bathroom toilet seat moved and was filthy and shower cubicle needed up dating due to defective sliding door which came apart, mouldy shower area, curtains were dirty and ready to fall apart. Cooked breakfast was un-edible and i would stick to cornflakes and toast.
The location & value for money are the only reasons I ever stay at this hotel. It's far more pleasant to spend the evening in Horley (with it's choice of restaurants and 'interesting' pubs) than to be stuck in some soul-less box right next to the airport.
The 30min wait for someone to turn up at reception. I gave up, went for a drink & returned an hour later, only to have to wait ANOTHER 30-mins before I could check in. Plus there were no towels in my room, I asked reception twice, and still no joy. In the end I found the laundry and just helped myself. The building is really starting to show wear & tear. It's time for a full refit, and not just a coat of paint.
The bed was comfortable.
The hotel is old and shabby and the staff seem preconceived with fitting the cars into their too-small car park rather than offering a good service.
ground floor room on suite fine for one person good tea making facilities nice to have bath and shampoos, good value
breakfast good first morning terrible 2nd morning couldnt eat sausage or bacon solid no orange juice or glasses in the end had to knock for service.
close to the airport + they pick you up there! good English breakfast nice, basic room
Desk staff helpful
I made a point of leaving my case in a particular position with the zip ends in a certain place. On my return it had been tampered with, nothing had gone but a bit disconcerting.
