It had a new shower.

it was the worst hotel my wife & I have ever stayed in. Beds old & uncomfortable, nowhere to hang clothes,breakfast room dirty, hotel generally in bad state of cleanliness & rundown.

Very accomodating staff, close to Gatwick with early check-in for Trans-Atlantic flights when you arrive early and are jet-lagged or, like us, have a very early return flight.

Not a wide selection of restaurants, but some within walking distance of hotel.

Within walking distance of town centre so easy to pop out for a meal. Free overnight street parking. Room and bed comfortable. clean en suite and generally clean apart from scraggy carpet.

Cleanliness of breakfast room suspect, and by inference kitchen. Breakfast servery poorly laid out and uninviting. Server handled spoons by spoon end having come off reception to cook breakfasts. Crumbs on table.

Proximity to gatwick. Price.

Paying 6pounds for parking our rented car.

Staff unhelpful at all,very poor pick up service,you have to wait 30min,and drive only takes 5min.

Reasonably priced & close to the airport

No staff around for early starts. The hot water in the do it yourself breakfast room was only warm

Room comfortable and clean, shower really good and the food was excellent though you did not have what I wanted at first. Wine not so good!!! but drinkable.

had to wait an hour (two phone calls) for courtesy coach. Paid on arrival including £6 for coach and when I asked for a receipt was only very reluctantly given one, with the comment "why do you want one of those" and when I said my husband asked me to get one, was told that that was "very odd". I think the indian couple who also stayed with you may have paid for me again when we returned by coach to the airport the next day as he did not know that I had already been asked for the money.

dirty, v poor dining, cramped, disgusting shower that did not work as a shower, more a hose pipe, very low standard hotel, I've seen better backpackers at £10. quid a night!

For the price, hotel was reasonable. Was surprised to find a nice memory foam bed in the room, which was comfortable. The airport transfer was cheap and was on time.

Squeaky floorboards, and unfortunately our room was opposite a busy road, so there was a bit of noise in the room.

For 35 pounds/night We got our own room with bathroom..it was nothing special, but would stay there again..great value!!

Everything what happens before entering the hotel room and after you leave it is perfect. My flight arrived late. They picked me up at the train station Horley although it was already midnight. I reservated via booking and they pick up was free of charge. Late check in was ok. Payment - they accept cash or credit card. Breakfast - english (a lot) + buffet just excellent. Coffee and tea in the room. In the morning they drop me off at the train station free of charge. Despite the fact that I ordered the drop off last minute, the member of the staff droped me by his own car. The neighborhood very nice. Excelent location of the hotel near the Gatwick airport - 3 minutes by train, 5 minutes the ride. Perfect if you are switching flights or London airports.

The room. Very basic. Modest. Sheets. Poor sound isolation. Tv not working. But when you stay near Gatwick you are probably not on vacation. So what you really need is a bed, shower and towels. Right?

We landed in Gatwick pretty late so decided to do an overnight before getting into London. Had a great time in this hotel, bed was comfortable and shower was great. Was picked up with the courtesy car from the airport and we walked to the train station the next morning. Cheaper trains from Horley as well! I left my wallet in reception and the man rang me up (after we had left!)- Pfew! Great people, really cheap and convenient if you have a late/early flight.

At first there was no toilet paper/soaps were empty etc and then one of the lights blew... We told the manager and he sorted out the toilet paper issue excellently and we just didn't use the lamp.

Personal attitude of owner family including the willingness to accommodate needs. The restaurant was adequate and the breakfast good. The location in relationship to Horley town center was good (though a map would be helpful). The price was right. We would recommend it with some reservations about the "didn't like" issues.

First impression of room was great however cleanliness was an issue; Dirt on exposed areas of the floor, track for a former closet still in place and dirt in the former sliding door track. This leads to doubts that the overall carpet was clean - though Hoovered. The outside area behind the hotel was cluttered with trash. Security of the ground floor windows was questionable. A list of places to eat including nearby hotels would be welcome.

The price included a free transfer to and from the airport and a full english breakfast....so was very good value...

could be a little noisy at night when new arrivals arrived....
