Staff were friendly and approachable

Overall all was fine, kids took over one was scared to walk as they could run you over, as they did not walk allways ran.

The lift breaking down, promises of on there way to fix it, then ordering parts, frankly I was surprised there are still parts to be found for it, most people could not possibly go up 3 flights for some without being injured, my friend who is nearly 90 and partially blind found it almost impossible. As for changing rooms for one night, not knowing if it is going to be freezing there,what a upheavel.

I cannot tell you as our booking was cancelled, the reason given was that the heating was non functional. They did book us into the Chequers Plaza Hotel, one block away.

The hotel where we were transferred to, it was too warm but the hotel and management were very good. We wanted to book dinner in the hotel but that was not available, we had to go out for dinner and I got a chill in the body and was unable to stay because I needed my doctor and had to drive home for the necessary relief and medication. So, in answer to a number of your questions, they are unanswerable.

The staff just can't do enough for you & are extremely frindly but the poor hotel is seriously in need of a make over, very tired. It was in just the right location for our visit

One receptionist was extremly friendly & very warming/welcoming.

1St hotel room was disgusting!!! Broken window,dust on skirting board,missing ceiling pieces in the bathroom,lights didnt work. 2Nd room we had to pay £10 deposit for the tv. The tv was attached to the wall facing the opposite wall to the bed so you couldnt watch tv unless you sat on the floor. Breakfast- staff were rude, didnt ask if we'd finished they just assumed we did. Small breakfast. We were not informed where the ceral/juice was. Would not!!! Recommed anyone to stay! Rooms extremly overpriced for what you get

The Staff were delightful. Bed was comfortable and shower powerful and hot.

Incredibly exhausted building and decor with paper thin walls between the tiny rooms.

my second visit to hacketts hotel.Already booked for my next .I love everything about hacketts ,staff ,management and entertainment .will be myhotel as long as i continue gouing to blackpool.Take care ev 1 at hacketts look forward toseeing you soon .xx

rooms very basic need decorating also rooms very small a bit far out from town and pubs have to use taxis . hotel set up very narrow corridors and is like a maze to find your rooms. price of hotel 76 per room and not worth it. brakfast included but not very exciting. this is a very basic hotel.

The leaking toilet which we noticed as soon as we stepped in to the very tiny en-suite. I nearly slipped over and the room was supposed to have just been cleaned.... There was a big puddle on the floor!!

Very basic, our bedroom floor looked like it ad never seen a Hoover, looked at shower and both decided we would wait until we got home!

Cheap as chips and you get what you pay for. Room was clean and fresh, although a bit dated. Staff were fab.

It's looking a but neglected and shabby -but then again what do you expect for £35 a night including breakfast!

A budget hotel which is good value for money and in a good location.

the staff at hacketts york hotel were fabulous,couldnt do enough for you,bernie,kyle and think the lady on reception was called linda,omg these people work extremely hard and always nothing is too much trouble for them.

the rooms were very basic but in all fairness you get what you pay for,and its only somewhere to sleep, .

no problems at all,quite the reverse I had phone problems and the owner went out of his way and solved this.He and his staff that I met were very friendly and helpful I will definitely stay here next time I am In Blackpool

The location

The place is a dump! I booked a room as a surprise for my disabled mother and clearly stated her needs and paid extra for a sea views, the room they put her in was above a disco, when it rained, it leaked in the lounge, really bad mattress in the room, a sink only a sparrow could get washed in, the sea view was available if you stood on a chair, bear in mind this was supposed to be for a disabled person???????? When asked for a refund the owner of the hotel only thinks of money and not the customer...AVOID At all costs!!!

The only good thing about this hotel was the car park

Hotel is very tired looking, the shower was antiquated although the room was clean. Plaster coming off the walls behind the curtains, the lift felt like it was on it's last legs and stopped either two inches above or below the floor it was on, which was a health and safety risk. The bar area was dark and gloomy and the whole place felt like it was in need of a facelift. Banging noises from somewhere above us around 6am on Sunday morning kept us awake and kids running riot in the breakfast room had us leaving without eating so we can't comment on the food. We paid £61 for our one night stay and have had much better value from other seafront hotels before for £50 a night so overpriced for what it is.

I felt that the description on the hotel and booking.com websites, gave a bettwer overall impression of the hotel than what is. * There was mould in the shower/bath facilities in more than one room. * The rooms were old and dated, and in 5/6 had damp marks on the ceiling pannels. * When we visit again in August (as a party of 12 as like this trip) we will not be staying at this hotel.

We stayed at hacketts before and were very dissapointed with how standards have dropped.We expected entertainment every night for what we paid but the management said they only book entertainment when they have a minimum occupancy (?). That hardly seems fair to those paying full price. there was a lack of staff and they were multi tasking~serving meals and manning reception at the same time. We paid more for bed and breakfast than other guests that had their evening meal included! Our room was very small and the bed very uncomfortable.

We didn`t like anything!!! We will not be returning.

We had a pleasant stay at the Hacketts, it was our second stay as a large group attending a dance compitition weekend. The hotel was very accommodating of us and arranged early breakfast on both days. The rooms were clean and had maid service both days were the beds were made clean towels and refershments topped up. There was entertainment in the hotel which seemed to be enjoyed by the rest of the visitors. If there were any issues these were delt with quickly by recpetion, car park was not an issue even though it was a bank holiday weekend, the hotel managed to sort us out. Thnak you and we will be returning again in the future.

The most freindliest place we have ever been to the staff made us feel soo welcome the facilities really gud, location really gud brilliant stay would defo go back cheers
