Old fashioned deco
The receptionist was very helpful in making sure our stay was properly accomodated, it was much appreciated.
I liked the fact the bar was open late for it's customers
The room was tiny even though we paid a premium. I understand it was half term and prices are higher then however I stay in hotels an awful lot for work and this was by no means worth the money
Entertainment was varied and very good, food worth what we paid and staff very nice
Room had no view, shower didn't have much power and please learn your chef how to cook yorkshire puddings or use aunty bettys (they were the most discusting things I as a born and bred yorkshire lass have ever seen) but all in all a passable place to stay for a cheap trip
everything that made the weekend a success
shower took ages to get warm
Liked breakfast reception staff pleasant
Room felt like a classroom, bathroom very dated, tiled ceiling, headboard made from ply wood, sqeaky floorboards, no milk, just power milk, getting ready no mirror, not a good price, in dining area where had breakfast.the ceiling looked as though going to fall needs repair, room notr clean enough, could not spend alot of time in room, needs a makeover hotel ,beds very uncomfortable, would not stay again!!!
The staff were friendly and very helpful, The breakfast tasty, the room was clean, but could do with an up date. For the price we paid for the one night we stayed it was good value for for money.
The bed was a bit lumpy, and the floorboards above us creaked.
It was clean Food was good but basic
Bathroom was a shoebox I was kept awake by something blowing about in the roof space (hotel not to know if nobody tells them.) There was no plug in the sink. A lift that took 3 people at a time We was asked what we would like for breakfast it arrived before we found the cereals.
Entertainment on in evening
Cheap coffee on refreshment stand in room and powdered milk. Asked at reception for fresh milk and was informed only powdered milk was avaliable. Holes in ceiling in bathroom and bedroom. An 'okay' stay if you just want a bed for the night but price did not reflect on the basic facilities.
Staff very helpful both Reception and Dining Room. Clean Beds. Nice big bathroom Warm and cosy. Entertainment.
Mattresses not comfortable. Front door a bit tired ! Gives a bad first impression.
Shower did not work. No preasure and it was freezing cold then scolding got . The bed was so uncomfortable. Room was tiny. Not worth £80 a night.
Breakfast was edible but apart from that everything else was terrible. For £80 I was very very disappointed, I've stayed in better places for £20 in Blackpool and that was before the morning after when we had no hot water. Room was dirty, wall paper hanging off, carpets looked like they had been down for 50 years. Tried to get a drink in the afternoon, stood at the bar 10 mins ringing the bell no service. Constantly harrassed for my car keys even tho I told her I wasn't blocking anybody on and wasn't a problem. Shocking stay
Good location, fairly close to the centre but away from the noisy areas. Nice rooms.
A small gripe, but freshly brewed tea and coffee with the breakfast would be nice rather than the stewed/cold stuff in the urns.
Couldn't get wifi on staff gave us the code several times but still couldn't get it on . The showers in two of the rooms we had booked didn't work they had to use other bedrooms thee tv was broke in two of the rooms
Food was awful. powder milk in room for tea, or coffee.
Felt like instant 'friends' even though our first stay - staff are very welcoming and intentive.... Basic facilities in room, but then again, it is only a base
It was all good
Good friendly staff rooms clean and tidy ideal for disabled because has a lift evening entertainment was good loved the artist the karaoke and disco didn't go on to long nice family Hotal good bar and breakfast plenty of tea coffee sugar in rooms nice and warm though out the whole building
Nothing I didn't like Parking was Abit of a pain but is available
Pictures shown online were very misleading. We had to walk across the dance floor in order to access the lift to get to our room. Unfortunately the lift was out of order. When we finally got in our room it smelt stale and looked shabby.
I thought the hotel was great. Food was excellent, hot, well cooked. Entertainment was extremely entertaining the compare was excellent/funny. Bar prices were reasonable. We has a family would stay there again without a doubt.
Hotel could do with a little updating (deco)
the food,,the bar,quality and price,,,entertainment,brilliant,,,,staff,pleasant,helpful and smiling
car parking,,adequate but frustraring
The fact that I had booked from 1st to 6th September but the staff only had bookings to 5th - so we had to leave. Also - the original room booked by the hotel was tiny - and I mean TINY. ~We stated that the room was unsuitable and were given a much superior room.
the staff were lovely and very helpful
the place was in bad need of refurbishment, our bathromm was so old bath was all stained same as toilet and no shower walls and tiles were cracked and the view from our room was disgusting, entertainment was rather dismal although Michael the compere was brill
Staff to fit all your needs and good entertainment and 24hr bar. Good sea view rooms.
Our first room was loud and noisy with the construction workers next door, some rooms a little cramped but not at all discomforting.
The entertainment/ bingo was good
The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful, the food was disgusting and made my stomach bad for the whole week. We were a large group of 12 friends/family. Mixed ages from 5-50. We were the youngest group in the hotel. Everyone were at least 70 years of age. The hotel doesn't cater for young people and we felt out of place. Half of the showers in our rooms didn't work. When we went to the staff for help, it felt as if we were a burden with the way that they dealt with us. This was our second stay at this hotel and We will never stay there again.
