Score from 254 reviews Very good
Very good value for a 2 night stay.
shower tray did not empty (except on floor) and the whole hotel seems tired.
had a sea view room on first floor with reasonable space and for somebody staying a longer time a full size wardrobe and set of drawers
could do with some updates in room lounge and restaurant excellent untidy back yard
Staff very friendly and helpful
Nothing we didn't like.
From the moment we walked in to reception Danny looked after us like royalty. He even got us a camber maid to come back to the hotel to clean a double room for us coz we had booked last room which was a twin. We had a wee drinkie in the huge lounge bar while the room was made ready. It was massive even with an extra bed. Ensuite toilet and shower was spotless. Breakfast was run like clockwork, several waitresses attended to our every need. even on their busiest morning our breakfast was terrific freshly cooked and delicious with a wee treat of fried bread. All cooked to perfection and great quality. Danny organised the car parking and even moved cars for us so ours was at the front ready when we needed it. He seemed to be everywhere doing everything for everybody nothing was too much trouble for Danny and the staff. We loved it we will be back.
The room when we arrived it looked like a hostel
It was nice being on see front
Good location to sea front
NOthing worth commenting on that didnt reflect the priceband. Would recommend to others and stay again if in Gt Yarmouth for a short break! If you are after luxury then chose elsewhere and pay accordingly!
Dont understand the poor reviews for the place as the value for money was superb. Yes its a budget hotel which 'needs' a refurb. BUT really impressed with the freshness and cleanliness of the rooms and bed linen etc. Breakfast excellent quality considering the price too. Service was overall friendly and very polite. Really enjoyed a traditional & vaguely retro feel to a Great British Seaside break!
Small pokey room felt like we have been ripped off for what we paid. You could not see the T.V it was on a side wall so I had to lay across the bed to see it. Wifi was bad could not connect to it! Also crisps behind the bar was out of date!answer from staff oh will be okay and left them on the shelf
We did not enjoy our stay the room different from advised! We were trying to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and was spolt and the food was cold!
Room was very poor, had to move, new room was dirty, rooms .in general where poor
Staff were good
Rooms comfy and clean
dated carpets and decor in need of a freshen up
friendly helpful staff
dirty, rude staff dangerous shower and sockets
Very small room, felt quite claustrophobic. No full length mirror, wardrobe doors didn't fit properly, out dated fixtures and fittings, TV very small, Shower tray didn't drain.
easy to find, staff very friendly and nice. Breakfast was tasty.
We have stayed here several times and always enjoy it, I was a little dissapointed we were in the annex part of the hotel as we usually stay in the main part and are able to have sea view.
The hotel is in a good location, close enough to town, just a short walk, but away from any noise.
Staff were very helpful, friendly, room was very clean,
Beds were lumpy and uncomfortable, and no towels in the room although they are advertised on web site
locality and food
The shower is extremely small and was dirty. The room was right next door to the stairs and it was very noisy. The staff were ok but seemed to lack in experience. The bar was fine but tge drinks were flat. I would most likely not stay there again.
Comfy bed and free wifi
wE ENJOYED ALL OF OUR STAY - GREAT SERVICE AT BREAKFAST.
THE WAY MANAGEMENT HANDLED A DIFFICULT SITUATION WITH SOME UNDESIRABLE GUESTS - MUCH PRAISE.
Lots of foreign work men felt intimidated !
They gave us a better room with a lovely view as it was our anniversary
The only bad things we're the price of drinks at the bar. They were too over priced I paid £4 for a pint of coke!!!! And also the breakfast wasn't very nice bacon like cardboard and cheap tasting sausages
The staff at the hotel were all very friendly an couldn't do more to help.
Bar only had bitter and lager due to it not being in high season resturant not open due to the same reason but they did offer to cook something
Breakfast was really great staff very very helpful room lovely will be back asap
Location is excellent, on seafront but just outside noisiest area. Staff were exceptional in helpfulness and demeanour. Very good breakfast. Excellent value.
