Close to Hyde Park (where we were attending a concert) Basic room, okay for one night.
A lot of loud chatting going on outside the room'til quite late.Only one pillow on the bed, found another in wardrobe but looked a bit tatty.Room not really worth what I paid.No air-con.
Virtually everything. Friendly staff and cleanliness of the accommodation.
On booking in I was asked to bring some form of ID in the way of a passport or driving licence. This could have proved a problem as it was only by chance that I had this source of ID on me at the time. It was perhaps required as in the City of Westminster. So, beware, you may have to take appropriate ID if you do not normally carry it. There was no many local restaurants nearby only one pub, with a good restaurant above.
Central to most attractions, very helpful staff, clean basic room, small kitchen in room, beautiful large bathroom,
Milk satchets had gone off, but otherwise everything was great
PRICE, lack of breakfast on-site. Lack of security-when I returned at 1130pm front door was open even though reception was not manned at that time. Anyone could have walked in off the street unchallenged. Overpriced for what it offered.
Great location. Nice small restaurants and pubs literally around the corner. Grocery stores a block away. 5 minute walk to the tube station bus stops even closer. Staff friendly and very helpful. No breakfast but a restaurant across the street serves a good one. Well appointed room. Plenty of coffee supplies. Great find!
Towels very worn and fraying. Carpet has seen it's better days, quite worn but kept clean.
Contrary to our expectations the "Superior family room" booked by us was incredible large for London standards. It even had a small balcony. We were provided with a kitchenette with a microwave oven a sink and tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge. Even plates, forks, knives etc. were present and also a hot iron. The bathroom was larger than a small bedroom and provided with a large shower cabin of excellent quality. Two bathtubs would have entered easily there leaving plenty of room for the rest of facilities also. We appreciated also the safe-box for keeping our documents but we never felt insecure. In fact we were leaving the balcony door open 24/24 even being located at first floor. The location is excellent, three minutes walk to Marble Arch and Oxford Street. Travelling on a budget we appreciated the Tesco shop at five minutes walk. We will definitely recommend this hotel to everybody an we'll return, given the chance. In total honesty I have to point out that I've seen no other room but the one we've stayed.
The street is quite noisy in the evenings due to "Glow Taxi" (a sort of tricycle powered by a man). Local people uses these taxis to wander around with the music very loud. WiFi was not functioning at our arrival and BT was blamed. The guy from reception desk offered to provide net from his smartphone transformed into a hotspot but this was only an emergency solution. Only in the last day BT provident another temporary link. Although I think this was not indeed the fault of the hotel as far as we were able to connect wirelessly to their router (but without exit to the internet).
Location very good. And staff very Helpfull
Room.bed was poor. 1very flat pillow and 1 spare in wardrobe but Dirty. Toilet didn't flush on my arrival So was not checked
good locaion good staff clean room
no air condation
The staff was very nice and the room was very clean. Convenient to the Underground.
No wifi and it was very small.
Stayed four nights and wanted a centrally located hotel to explore the city. The Hadleigh did not disappoint us. We had a small, but comfortable room and a five minute walk to Marble Arch underground station. Close to several good ethnic restaurants a block away. £4 breakfast was a good value (can get full English breakfast) at sister hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.
No AC, so needed window open at night and noise woke us up a few times.
Very close to paddington station, friendly and helpful staff, good value considering the location.
Small room Building in need of some updating Poor wifi
Location was good. Room and bathroom were very clean. Nice spacious bathroom and good shower. Staff let us keep our luggage in reception after checkout
The walls are a little thin so we could hear our neighbours (and I am sure they could hear us) quite clearly, and the general noise of the plumbing was quite loud.
Location and friendliness
Comfortable, but everything in the room was just a bit tired and worn
bed is not comfortable
friendly receptionist great shower
climbing 59 stairs to our room
Location and staff who are helpful like Tess and Mohd - they helped with the airport transfer and giving a room on ground level so we so not have to carry out heavy luggage. The room was a good size and toilet was big and clean Small kitchenette was useful!
They need to get new linen for the beds, pillow and towels. Room could do with an update.
Location exelent, clean, staff freindly,we got received evry things we asked for.But very expensive for what you get
The bedrooms are tinny and very old styel.Deds not comnfort. For what you get very expensive.
Location of the hotel, cleanness
Although we booked twin room for two nights, we were moved for the last night into the two single rooms and separated with my wife. It is advisable to confirm each stay in advance via email or call to avoid an unpleasant surprise.
Location is great, staff very friendly.
Location is great but the rooms are still very expensive for what you get. The hotel is old, don't expect comfort. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly.
Excellent location. Staff were friendly. Room was clean. Excellent location and very good value for money.
Sheet on the bed was ripped so probably quite old (but was clean). WiFi was very slow.
Location of the hotel is great. Large room. Kitchenette.
The hotel needed renovation for about 25 yrs ago. The standard was poor, and the maintainece totally absent. Due to the floor, the highest part of the bed was where your feet were. Even two pillows could not level out the difference. The solution was just to tear off the cover, and sleep the other way.
Location was good.
Room on the street was quite noisey, better to keep the window shut. Quite basic but adequate. Take your own shampoo.. none provided!
clean close to everything
no elevator (was on the top floor)
