Staff, room and food were all excellent.
Very friendly but also very professional staff.Excellent menu choice for breakfast. Nice ambiance in bar and dining area.Good choice on dinner menu and excellently prepared local food. Lovely bedrooms in separate building, so away from noise, not that there was any! We will definitely use it as a stop over again or find an excuse to travel there just to stay!

Location food bar excellent service comfortable room
Lovely looking country Inn with very generous sized comfortable bedrooms and large bathrooms.Excellent variety of tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water and good quality toiletries provided. Room furnishings were well co-ordinated and stylish.Although very busy the room was quiet and no intrusive noise disturbed our sleep. Evening meal in the bar was excellent and breakfast was good. All staff were polite, helpful and very friendly.
On arrival we were shown into a lovely room but as we settled in we quickly became aware of a loud humming noise and that the floor was vibrating. On investigation we found that the room was above the kitchens and the extractor fan was on the outside wall below our bedroom window. On speaking with one of the staff and asking if it was possible to move rooms we were shown another identical room o the other side of the hotel and this was perfect. The problem was handled in a professional and courteous manner.
... to be really helpful. Customised my breakfast perfectly. Nice room, bottled water to drink. Very clean. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
.. they have to, it is in the middle of nowhere. But nice and quiet. Needs greater selection of spirits, especially whisky and whiskey - not everyone likes Jack Daniels.
Beautiful setting. Very warm welcome & breakfast made ready to go for early departure. Spacious room
Noisy because of old wooden Floors
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent omelet for breakfast. We didn't dine as we were attending an after wedding but the restaurant seemed well booked. Plenty of parking.
We stayed in the annex, unfortunately we could hear the rooms either side using the bathroom or switching a light on. Worst of all we were woken at 6.00am by the assistant manager (we were informed) in the room above getting ready to go to a car boot sale! Not the best wake up after a late night. We were told to ask for rooms in the main building next time.
1). Sitting next to an open fire enjoying a drink in the bar 2). Great menu and food 3). Quiet and comfortable room 4). Good choice at breakfast
Lovely room. Very quiet. Good food. Staff very friendly
Stopped serving food at 7.30pm on Sunday. Wasn't a problem for us as we arrived in time. Restaurant and bar area was a bit chilly.
Room was modern, comfortable and clean. Quiet rural location.
More of an eating place than a traditional pub. Not cheap to stay for a room in a pub.
Huge family room Delicious breakfast
Open fires Real Ale Rooms with character Good food
Good bedrooms, traditional food in a lively and comfortable restaurant. Good cooked breakfasts served from 07:00, which is good for working people. Plenty of on site parking in a secluded situation.
Food,Service and general facilities were good to excellent andcomfortable.
In the annex the couple next to our room kept impacting on the adjoining door disturbing us. Another issue was the room over our heads was occupied by people with heavy boots that did not settle untill about 2.00a.m.
Spacious rooms, quiet country location, uncrowded bar with good atmosphere, great food and wines in the restaurant, and above all very friendly and attentive staff.
No complaints at all.
Country location Old English pub charm Friendly staff team Superb food Overall, a very good room Staff very quick at providing more tea bags and milk in a flask for room Cleanliness
1. Mattress could have been deeper and softer 2. Friends in party thought their rooms were noisy due to kitchen (?) extractor fan and external corridor noise as people went in and out rear entrance
The room was spacious, well-equipped and generously supplied. The bathroom was excellent. The environment was quiet and restful. The food was very good.
The wifi was really slow at times and slow most of the time.

Wi Fi not too good and genuinely for a relaxing W/End look up The Hadley Green.
Facilities,location,pleasant staff,good food in restaurant,easy parking.
Breakfast OK but not up to standard of the restaurant.
Excellent place to stay great food and friendly staff
Room was lovely and comfortable lots of space. Quiet village location
I think our room was above the kitchen and the fan noise was a little noticeable whilst it was on, it was not enough to keep us awake though.
Welcome was first class as were the rooms and food.
A very convenient location for our purpose of meeting friends who live locally. We all enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant.
