Hadrian Lodge Hotel  

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was superbly cooked. The rooms were very basic but lovely and clean. It is no longer on a main road so absolutely quiet and no hum of traffic - sheer bliss. We will most definitely stay there again.

Hadrian Lodge was value for money, not sure what else you'd want for £41 a night; bed, ensuite, tv, basic breakfast, hotel bar as well. Also it's right across from the Hadrian Road metro stop, £2.40 from the city centre. Like anywhere I travel I'd recommend taking ear plugs, especially for weekend night stays.

Can't fault it too much for £41 a night, I'd say the walls could do with some sound proofing but again nothing some earplugs won't solve

Easier to use and every one was helpfully. Suit my needs, friendly easy to use etc Rooms where good and kept clean.

The fact the door was lock up at times and staff would question me all the time. I thing maybe managerment have lead this. But as a paying guest I was a bit put off with this. Felt price in bar where a bit high, for food. All like latter breakfast option till 11am on a Sunday 2.

I thought the clenliness was below average and the room we had was freezing. I slept in my clothes all night.

our friends key fitted another room door as she was told the wrong room to go too and found that it opened the other door as well.:( Dont know if she remembered to report it but other than that everything else ok)

Friendly staff. Good budget hotel with excellent car parking facilities. Have used once before and would certainly use it again.

Clean linen, comfortable bed.

Room was ok but unfortunately as it was on the ground floor and right next to the locked entrance door, we were constantly disturbed by late night revellers returning and hammering to be let in(despite a door bell). There was was also the same issue as they returned to their room via a fire door that slammed each time someone opened it. This woke me up with a real start - it was like a gun going off it was so loud. Continental breakfast was hardly that. Cerial/tinned fruit or cold toast.

The location was good for my business trip, good hot shower.

Getting a bit tatty, walls paper thin (I could hear everything from the people next door.

Quiet location but access to any attraction is so easy.The metro station is literally 200 yards away.All the staff from arrival to departure were great and helped to make the atmosphere very relaxed.The hotel room was clean and usual tea coffee and biscuits were replenished each day along with the good quality towels there is a bath as well as a shower which is a bonus.breakfast was ok with branded cereals and toast,the english breakfasts looked really good for the price.The hotel is easy to locate being about a mile from the tyne tunnel and has a large free car park.This place is a bargain and would not hesitate in returning

Very dated and shabby all round. But main gripe was the room (think it was from the bed) smelt of the body odour of previous occupants. Cannot think of a single redeeming feature to recommend this hotel unless it was dirt cheap and you are not fussed about bad smells!

Staff very friendly

Nothing to do there. Bar closes very early and although we were residents we were made to go to our rooms as soon as the lights went out!
