Middlewich
Just a 10-minute drive from the middle of Newcastle, this hotel is right across from Hadrian Road Metro Station and only a 5-minute walk from the Hadrian Leisure Centre. The Hadrian Lodge Hotel’s convenient location makes it a good base from which to explore all that the area has to offer. After enjoying a complimentary continental breakfast you can jump on the metro and be in the center of Newcastle in minutes. The hotel’s staff is on hand to help ensure that your stay is both enjoyable and relaxing. All of the bedrooms are strictly non-smoking. There is a large parking lot with over 50 spaces. Parking is free of charge. If you are walking along Hadrian's Wall, you can leave your car in the parking lot for a small daily fee (for each of the nights you are not staying at the hotel). It was quiet. Staff are friendly enough. Old decor- patterned flowers on top of patterned flowers. Dirty room- did not appreciate pubic hairs in the bottom of the toilet bowl. Required updating ie decor, also sealant around the bath was very dirty. Odd surroundings in industrial area, arrived at night and thought I was in a horror movie. Hotel was found by a friend and wanted to stay in the same hotel as our friends (another young couple)- wil not trust him to find a hotel again.

Hadrian Hotel is situated in the quiet area with country side vegetation. The building is not too storey. It's very tranquil in this hotel. As a solo traveller who had come for weekend church Christmas Get together I enjoyed my quiet moments of devotion in the mornings. The staff was very alert, friendly, pleasant and helpful attending to me ant time of the day. For the threw nights I came back at 01:30, 0350 and 0200. Having travelled from north of London I enjoyed the fresh air. There is a secure car park for free with accessibility. Thank you all staff for even answering my call talking me through the direction when I aerived, a warm welcome and explanations about the.place. Although I never had lunch and dinner I enjoyed my continental breakfast. Thank you O C Stevenage. First time arrival directions are not easy. A sign post is needed at the round about. The cooked breakfast.

Far enough out of town to be quiet, but directly opposite the Metro station making it easy to get in to town. Room not as clean as it should have been, (crumbs still on floor from previous clientelle).

Quiet location but access to any attraction is so easy. The metro station is literally 200 yards away. All the staff from arrival to departure were great and helped to make the atmosphere very relaxed. The hotel room was clean and usual tea coffee and biscuits were replenished each day along with the good quality towels there is a bath as well as a shower which is a bonus.breakfast was ok with branded cereals and toast, the english breakfasts looked really good for the price. The hotel is easy to locate being about a mile from the tyne tunnel and has a large free car park. This place is a bargain and would not hesitate in returning

We liked the location, very close to Metro station, took only 10 minutes to get to city centre. It was very quiet over the night, so we got a good night sleep. We think we got what we paid for, room was comfortable, clean, staff friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was included in the price and we liked it. In general we were satisfied as we wanted to keep in on the budget and can imagine staying there again.

The whole experience was good from start to finish. We were greeted by a brilliant receptionist who served reasonably priced drinks in the bar once we got unpacked. The staff were friendly and helpful in giving us info of the best way to get into the city centre. The location was excellent with the parking being an added bonus. Breakfast was enjoyable and the service excellent again. It seemed like a family run business where staff made you feel at ease everone from the receptionist to the night porter. The cost of the stay was brilliant and if we were to return to newcastle again we would definitly stay at Hadrains Lodge hotel again.

Very dated and shabby all round. But main gripe was the room (think it was from the bed) smelt of the body odour of previous occupants. Cannot think of a single redeeming feature to recommend this hotel unless it was dirt cheap and you are not fussed about bad smells!

The outstanding feature of the hotel is the helpful and friendly staff who put themselves out in a goodnatured way without hesitation. I arrived late and Reception staff provided me with supper even though the kitchen had closed. At breakfast I had the continental choice, but was also offered hot toast with butter and choice of jams. The class of service I experienced was far higher than the budget price I paid. I was not entirely happy with the room. It was not fresh and smelled of recent occupation, unfortunately the window didn't open so I couldn't freshen it up. Also the bathroom was not as clean as I would expect - not too bad but I think the loo had been missed off the cleaning process. I really don't think this is a general practise, probably just a one-off . (The towels and linen were clean and fresh.)

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful We felt the accommodation to be of poor standard.Decor was very dated.Window dressings clearly had seen better days. The room over crowded with unnecessary furniture so it made it very cluttered. We were given one bath towel for use between two people!!

It was perfect for my stay inb Newcastle being not too far from the Centre and had ready access to the Metro. It was comfortable enough and exceptionally good value with friendly staff and provided a tv in the room and a free continental breakfast.

I stayed at hotel some 20 years ago when it was extremely good. Now, the bedroom needed redecoration and the bed needed to be renewed. I was disappointed - the place appeared run-down.
