Nothing Nothing in room worked, room was so hot it felt like a sauna, room looked like building site. Although there was a shower the shower head didn't actually fit on the attachment and so was hand held.

On-site parking, friendly staff, room was clean, breakfast was basic but tasty. Wi-fi was not available in my room, TV only had 4 chanels. Was a bit further out of the city than I had realised.

The welcome was cold, the room was freezing. THe pillows on the bed were so thin they might as well not have been there. The mattress was hard. We used both towels to shower and when we returned in the evening the towels or bedding had not been cahnged. The cost was low but that does not mean having to put up with low service. As regular visitors to Birmingham we were both shocked and disapointed in the service. We will not recommened Hagley Lodge.

The hotel had wifi, free parking and a good location to our business trip. It also offered private bathroom, tv, tea making facilities and a full english breakfast so at £34.95 this was very resonable. We were given an 'attic' room with a sky light, not enough room to swing a cat, you could only access the bed from one side. The tv was very very small and as a mature couple we had difficulty focusing on it! The room was in need of desperate decoration. The breakfast was adequate for the money.

Avoid! We liked nothing about this place - it was a dump - really run fown, dirty and smelly. We were looking forward to staying two nightsand enjoying the shooping and night life available in Birmingham but on seeing the state of the room we decided to cancel the second night. The second night payment was not taken and there were no quibbles about this which made us think that the staff are used to doing this. Dirty room Smelly room Room desperately needs updating and decorating Pillows as thin as an envelope Dirty cracked shower cubicle Room looks nothing like the photos shown before booking

They said to me it is 5 minuets from nec exhibition centre but actually 55 minuets ; the rooms were without hot water ; the rooms had smell of mold ; one of my staff got a rash all over her hand . i came so late at night and there was no supervisor to speak with him . at the morning after i asked for better condition but they don't have . i left this place after 1 night instead 5 and went to another BB. That's a shame that above all they charge me full price for the first night . I will ask for legal advise and will contact trading standard

I didn't like that we were asked for a deposit of £20 on top of the room charge, the receptionist was rather rude about this. Although the description of the hotel said that it had digital channels it had BBC1, Channel 4 and Channel 5 (twice). The mugs that we were provided (alongside the complimentary tea and coffee) were both dirty, with both lipstick and drink marks. There were both cobwebs and dust around the room and also hair in the bed. There was hair in the shower and also dirty rags under the sink. The staff were not at all personable, helpful or friendly.
