Location was great ,food was excellent & everything was lovely and clean.The bed was really comfortable and huge.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The property was clean and comfortable.

The welcome to the hotel was very unwelcoming, unprofessional and made us both feel uncomfortable. This poor reception was a result of the management being unable to contact the person who made the booking. Although, it was explained that due to confirmation of the booking being gained, payment received. No contact would be expected. However, this explanation was not exceptable and the management continued to express her inconvience to being uniformed of wheather to make two single beds or one king size bed. Which on booking confirmation it was requested one king size and one single. Further examples of r inconvience being guest's continued when one of the party requested milk for coffee in the morning. With management questioning this and yet again made her guest feel uncomfortable for disturbing her. I am sad to write this review as the hotel was ideally located, very pretty and clean. With the lake distric being a beautiful, calm and relaxing part of England. However, the management of the hotel seemed to forget that manners cost nothing and her guests expect politeness and professionalism above all in the leisure industry. Most importantly that guest's come to this apart of are country to relax and clear there thoughts. Not feelings of worry there planned retreat is abolished and presence not welcome.

Cosy room. Relaxed place to stay with option of not having breakfast if you want to sleep in. Staff were very helpful, especially when I phoned because I thought I had left something behind.

The accommodation was very comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent value for money. We liked the fact that the guest house was eco friendly. The guest house was well situated for all facilities and there was no problem parking.

Loved the location. So close to everything - within walking distance. We also loved the spa bath in the en-suite.

There wasn't anything I disliked.

We had room 3 with the 4 poster bed, it was soooooo comfortable! Diane the b&b owner was very hospitable, she tailored our stay to meet our needs, my friend left her electric cigarette charger at home so Diane let us use her personal computer to charge it. Also, when we got there Diane had left leaflets and a map on our bed, this helped so much during our stay. The breakfast was nice and the location is perfect, a 5 minute walk in to the village of windemere and a 20 minute walk to bowness on windemere and the lake. Perfect. A totally wonderful stay. Thanks Diane!

The central heating was on all the time, it's not a big deal as a lot of people probably like that but for us, it was a little too warm, but nothing an open window can't solve!

We were made very wellcome from day one. The breakfast was lovely and the room was very clean and nicely decorated. Nothing was to much trouble.The landlady even booked a table at a local restaurant for us.

Liked the variety of breakfast menu, and appreciated that our request for an earlier breakfast was fulfilled.

A lovely guest house in a quiet location. Very friendly and welcoming. The room was good, plenty of tea/coffee making facilities as well as toiletries in the bathroom. Bed was really comfortable. Great breakfast served next morning so overall we were very pleased indeed with our choice for an overnight stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Extremely well presented and comfortable. Diana and her friends/helpers were welcoming and helpful. Well located for Windermere, Bowness , lake, eateries, shopping, local walks. Would definitely stay here again if we ever get back.

The service was excellent and people were friendly and relaxed. Lots of extra information and deals I.E. for the spa by windemere. The room was spacious and comfortable and well looked after and breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is in a nice area, close to the town, shops & restaurants. The room was nice and the bath was relaxing. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you

The only thing we didnt like was the hardness of the bed. Saying that though its not unbearable, it didnt ruin the trip away, we just wish it had been abit softer.

It's really homey. And the staff are very warm and helpful. I love their English breakfast too.

Haisthorpe House is immaculate! Our 4 poster bedroom was simply gorgeous. The breakfasts were delicious especially the butternut squash and chestnut hash. The owner Diana could not have been more obliging.

i enjoyed the home spun feel,that some hotels s or bed and breakfast ,seem to lack the sense of home . some my wish to learn this concept . those overpriced swanky hotels.
