The bedrrom window is not safe and no handle on window, anyone can get into window, and have complaint and was told cctv will seen to it if anyone get into window.( Bit too late for that!) But double check the CCTV, it doesn't to be on or working!! Room not clean, found under the bed, when looking for my glasses, was very dusty, papers clustered under the bed. Signposted outside the hotel said restaurant, but it isn't! Breakfast not too bad, but overall, I would not wanted to go back there again.

The staff were very friendly, but wanted our money and breakfast order before we had seen the room We had read the reviews before we booked but just wanted a place to put our head down for the night so we were not expecting to much from the hotel. This place needs the hotel inspector. Rooms very bland magnolia painted over old wallpaper,12 inch portable tv on top of a video cassette box, miss match furniture, tea making facilities just sitting on the window ledge. The room was not that clean dust on the light pull cord above the bed, hairs on floor in bathroom and the toilet, the toilet seat also moved when sitting on it. I could go on and on. We get back from out night out and were awoken by someone trying to get a light for his ciggies. He was knocking on everyones door. After half an hour of this the owner turned up to sort him out thanks but he dosen't live on premises so he could do with a night manager to sort out problems like this much quicker. We accept things like this do happen but it is not pleasant when you are being shouted at through the door. Breakfast was well cooked but their was no cereal on offer, just some tinned grapefruit in a bowl, some yoghurts were available but they were crammed into a basket as if they did not want guests to eat them. The orange juice was just on the table, we have know idea how long it had been in the glass. Service at breakfast was pleasant but no apology for the disturbance was offered until we complained about it. no free wifi

Despite being very disappointed with the facilities and the room and the fact that it was very much over-priced, the breakfast was freshly cooked on both mornings. There was really nothing else to like about the hotel and the description on the bookin.com site did not accurately reflect the reality of this sub-standard accomodation. Accomodation was not clean. Faulty lock on door so access to bedroom would be no problem if any intruder wished to gain entry very over- priced room extremely small for a double/twin heat escaping through drafty windows & door that did not close tightly.

The location. I didnt feel it was suitable for two young ladies as there were construction workers staying/ lodging. The full english breakfast was of poor standard, and my daugher and granddaughter felt uncomfortable, but it was just for one night so I was not too concerned. Linda Evans

Good value for what I paid. £70 for the suite and b&b for 3 adults, husband, mother and myself - not bad at all. A curtain separated the single room from the twin which allowed enough privacy for us all as it was for only one night. Staff very helpful and friendly. Cooked breakfast very nice. Good pub with very good beer. Pub in the center of Prestatyn. I would certainly stay again. Room could do with a lick of paint and bathroom a bit of a smarten up but can't grumble too much for the price I paid.

I have stayed here many times and like it a lot. It is very basic but everything you need is in the room and it is all clean. If you don't expect 5 star accommodation you will appreciate it. Bathroom is on the small size but it is clean so it didn't really bother me.

Handily placed and easy to find. Plenty of parking. Very noisy - we had a room almost immediately above the bar and the noise continued long after closing time. Breakfast was adequate, but seemed to be grudgingly offered. We had to specify a time and ask for cereals and very small amounts of milk were offered in minute jugs. Also we had to help ourselves to instant coffee and tea bags with a flask of hot water.

Beer, Breakfast. The lower floor of the building is a pub which deserves its place in the Good Beer Guide Room. Very small, not very clean.

Good location w/Pub Once you pull up and see several signs about how the hotel is not responsible for damage or theft of property doesn't help put you mind to ease. I had no problems when I stayed but, it just doesn't help put your mind to ease when you first get to the hotel. Also the place isn't very motorcycle friendly with it's gravel parking lot and owner who likes to block your bike in, which makes it that much more fun in the morning when you go to leave.

Horrendous, awful, unclean. no wonder they use the 'payment on arrival' system - we would have run a mile if we'd seen the room first. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. In fact, in the next B&B (which was fab) my friend even advised other walkers who had booked the Halcyon Quest not to go there and to find something else, quickly.

Leaving! Everything! Didn't like the fact they asked for your money up front - the family suite, was horrendous, the bedding was stained and smelly we wouldn't even walk on the carpet! The room smelt like an old smokers lounge! The whole room was shabby, the breakfast was very basic and we wern't allowed to help ourselves to orange juice, the half glass was already pored for you - we would strongly advise people to go elsewhere stay in Bodfari at Glan Clwyd Isa, or The Beach Hotel!
